We bought this from Brother on line. It came without a power cable. Brother don't seem to want to engage with us. They are terrible to get a hold of. You can't just call them. Email exchanges are slow and frustrating and they come across with an attitude that seems to suggest that if they give us enough grief we will just go away. So who knows… Read more

what the printer is actually like. They were apparently discontinued and one has to wonder whether this was because the dude responsible for putting the power cables into the boxes forgot to do his job.......... Pretty crsppy experience. Tomorrow I will try power cables from other appliances to see if I can find a match. Oh Brother!!!

Fast, reliable, economical, USB or wireless, and Duplex printing "Auto double-sided printing" – Had this printer for nearly three years by now and I can't fault it, cheap to run, no paper jams, very fast and economical. You can set DPI to 1200, 600, or 300 (economical) based on your needs, but I personally find 300 DPI produces sufficient quality in most scenarios. You will need the USB cable (Not included) to setup Wireless printing for… Read more

the first time. I've tried several other brands in the past, but so far non beats Brother printer in price, and reliability. Overall, excellent Mono printer!

Fast and Duplexing – Works very well with lots of printing. Makes this one of the cheapest to run especially when duplexing/double siding. One problem is that i still cant get it onto the network to print from devices and the help site is poor - for me anyways. ON standby uses hardly any power which is a real bonus. Its great for people wanting to print heaps with good quality and fast.  Show details

This printer is perfect for students – Bought this printer for over a year and have been using it on a daily basis! Printing quality is perfect, no paper jam, no misprint, no colour faults! Bluetooth printing on laptops, phones and desktops work wonderfully! Black and white printing is much cheaper than coloured printing, strongly recommend for students who are on a budget!  Show details

Great wireless printer – Got this printer for $99 (plus an extra 10-15 shipping) & couldn't be happier. I don't print too much, but I figured I'd get something reliable & hopefully long-lasting to make everything smooth Forever More & settled on this. The wireless printing was easy enough to set up, & I haven't had to look at it since. Simply make sure it's powered on, & any device you have set up to print can send straight to it. No issues whatsoever.  Show details

Quick, simple, quality – Easy setup, A-Grade printing quality, Wi-Fi hasn't failed me yet. It's so much better than the crappy inkjet printers I've been using for the past decade. I wish I'd gone laser sooner. I've been printing from my surface pro, windows desktop, mac mini, android phone and ipad all via WiFi and I haven't run into any issues yet. Best thing, replacement cartridges can be bought off ebay for under $20 (they're knock-offs but they work fine).  Show details

Fabulous low cost laser – Cost of printing is on the low side. It is black and white with a duplex feature. Print speed is good. Print quality is fine for documents, less so for images but are images why you have a black and white laser? Connectivity is limited to wifi (used) and USB (not used) with support for portable devices (not used so no comment). I find the… Read more

wifi always has woken it from deep sleep. The computer software monitor and drivers installed and works well. Paid $115 on sale. At 4 months it has been stone simple to use, reliable and has been a good purchase.
