to have taken a three-wise-monkey approach to addressing it. And don't expect Brother to have any sympathy for your loss - just the usual time soaking advice that doesn't resolve anything - and of course absolutely no chance of a refund (my preferred option as I have no wish to go through it again when the replacement fails.) Avoid this product!!

This is a terrible printer – Don't buy this printer. Just, DON'T. missing. Sometimes it would just print the heading of a document and nothing else. I did the usual printer head cleaning (which kept indicating it was unsuccessful, then successful, then unsuccessful again) and updating the drivers and software etc. Still no joy and, with the printer still under warranty, I took it to the ACT's only authorised Brother maintenance centre. They were difficult to deal with and wouldn't call back with any updates, so I ended up driving out to see them - twice - before I finally got the printer back. I was assured that the technician had 'looked at the printer and it was now working', but they couldn't or wouldn't tell me what was actually wrong with it. It worked for perhaps 2-3 days and then started printing half pages of faint lines or not at all. There is plenty of ink. The firmware has been updated. The software has been updated. I've run out of options and have lost consumer confidence in this printer, so I'll cut my losses and buy another brand- one that will hopefully do what the manufacturer says.

SATISFIED – Read ALL the reviews on inkvestments and refilable ink tanks and never saw one positive report. But I needed to get away from cartirdge printers so I chose this one based on one review. do the print quality is good. I haven't tried to print photos and I probably won't but my colour prints are of a good enough quality for all I need. It was easy enough to set up but I have deleted some add ons because they were defaulting and annoying me. It has things that I don't need - fax being one of them but that's neither here nor there. It's nice and compact and fits neatly where I have insalled it. So far no problems with it and if you are looking for an inkvestment of refilable tank printer, I'd happily recommend this one - so far, especially for home use.
