Died within 3 years and zero support from Brother - not interested in keeping a customer – We got this because at the time it was about the only MFC that would do A3 and had functions we required. It performed these functions resonably well though we never used the fax. From the start we had trouble getting the machine to stay on as the power cord supplied just didn't fit snug into the socket but hung loose. We replaced this with a cord of our own & it then worked OK. Until a couple of weeks ago and it would start up and begin to initialise and then power down and start up again in a continuous cycle. Sadly out of warranty but took it to the local repair shop. The guy there constantly rung Brother to enquire about the replacement part and it's cost so he could give me a repair quote, even though I knew it was more likely going to be better off to buy a new printer. They gave him the run around and kept promising to ring back but never did. They then palmed him off to a distributer who tried to contact Brother again with no success. In the end we needed a printer so we just gave up and went & bought another brand (Epson). Had functions we needed A3 print, scan copy Don't expect photo quality print. OK for office work. Broke down & Brother not interested in getting the repair done.
