Inexpensive, solid works for years – I've had this printer for many years, use it religiously and it never fails. I see some of these complaints and wonder what's up. I did have some issues using off brand ink cartridges. Lost the color, managed to get it to work with authentic Brother brand Innobella ink. great, I use it regularly for expenses and invoices for my job, never used the fax, although I nearly paid 25% more a few years earlier when my co wanted me to get one, just fax only. Moved it from Phoenix to Ky, to Ohio, works like a charm.
Brother Printer – My printer came up with a fault which referred me to the handbook but it does not have any codes in the manual. Reported the fault to Brother technical and their reply was "what do you expect us to do about it" I told them I expected them to tell me what the fault was and how i could fix it. They just wiped me off with " take it to an approved Service agent". No more Brother products for me. Show details
Terrible Printer Ever Build – We are running a small hotel and we have order this in beginning it was a big mistake. I never print since purchase. We bought another Monochrome laser printer to print and used it only for Fax and scan. Now we have bought DCP 1512 for printing and scanning and old will through in Volcano. Show details
Never again! – It is always jamming, self cleaning and now doesn't print in black, it only prints in colour. What a waste! It really wasn't worth buying! I would purchase a better quality printer in the future, one that was built to last! What a let down just before exams. It's a discontinued model for a reason!
Disappointed – Disappointed by brother. After a year after purchase at Keysborough Officeworks, VIC the black ink would not work, so you would be left with color. But it printed really well before that. When went to exchange it, model was off production. I wonder why... Ink prices for this model were average. That's all for now, mr_techy
MFC-J220 printer is brillient – Several years ago I bought two MFC-J220 brother printers and they have never let me down. Perfect printer. Now i'm hoping to buy another one. Sandy from Brisbane.
Wonderful Purchase – I bought this in 2012 so I could Print, Copy, Scan and Fax documents and photos eveyday also it is more compact and it takes up less space in my room since it is made for a small room. Also I can print, copy, scan and fax things a lot faster then my old printer could, which saves me heaps a lot of time so I can go and I can do other things as well. Great Design, Very compact, Great for a small room and The ink is very cheap to replace.
