The unusable headache! – This thing is a headache. We bought it for general home business use and have trouble using 90% of the features. We built our desktop computer from scratch yet this printer is beyond us. Near unusable, don't buy it. Show details

The printer has poor software. Poor customer service. Never buy another Brother printer again – I have this printer for approx 6 months (out of 3 yrs warranty), the problem starts from day one (lose connection intermittently, need to reconnect to wireless network). After weeks, 40 email correspondents, Problem still persists. I brought a laptop together with the printer offer to show the symptom but customer service refuses to listen and suggest using cable instead of wireless printing. Should have stayed with Canon. Show details

it. After market ink the best way to go. $59.00 AU for the four colours XL Only thing is you can not copy double sided, you can print it but you cant copy it, Pity as Epson lets you copy duplex.

Useless Printer – Purchased this printer for a home office. The printing function produced very poor product so went through help to fix, by the end of one day of tying to fix it the inc had run out. Now only good for scanning so went out and purchased a new OKI printer for only a bit more than the Brother. See picture for difference in size of inc cartrages. Now… Read more

the Brother printer/scanner does not want to scan until I purchase more inc. Not happy. Totally useless printer.

slow as a wet week – We bought this machine about three months ago, and have been using it on a limited basis during that time, for basic printing. It is exceptionally slow, although the print quality is fine. but one minute and 2o seconds to print an address on DL envelope seems ridiculous. It is also cumbersome to load the feed tray with A4 paper, as the output… Read more

feed tray has to be removed every time, and the cover of the paper tray simply dislodges every time. I cannot rate this machine very highly compared to the old Canon that it replaced.
