Busselton and Vasse Taxis

UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE MUGGED DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY – They say they are operating out of Dunsborough and Cowaramup, and have been since the end of November, but they actually charge you for the sectors from Busselton to Dunsborough $160 dollars on top of your journey. They also fail to provide written quotes, we asked twice and were given a quote verbally which we assumed was for the return trip, but was actually only one way.

Also be aware that legally they can charge 5% on top of your bill if you use your debit card so when you get to your destination and find out that the fare has doubled, you have to you use your card you get double hit!

Finally, once you ring for a taxi to do a return trip, this is classified as a 'Contract' so you are no longer covered by the $1.72 legal standard rate... They can charge what they like unless you have the quote in writing.

We had a quote of $200 from another firm, but they could not do the time we wanted. So when we had asked this company for a return quote and was told $230 we thought that was the price. We ended being charged $483...

When you are 24km away from home and need a return trip back you are screwed.... Take Heed!!!
