My mother is 96 years old . She’s deaf and blind . I found all the staff compassionate and patient . They spent the time explaining to her what was going on . There was no annoyance shown to her . She was a difficult patient . Confused and frightened . Medical care was excellent and done with care . Food was excellent too . Thank you all .

My Grand Daughter was in maternity at Caboolture Hospital. I found the Staff rude. I think they are in the wrong profession. It is a shame that someone going to Hospital expecting some compassion and kindness and professional help giving birth to her first child, was subject to unkind unprofessional service. Australia is becoming a third World Country.

I speak on behalf of myself and my family that the care, compassion and personal attention that the Palative Care Team provided my Mum during her recent stay was absolutely amazing and soo deeply appreciated! you enough for your care and support you provided us in our last days and moments with Mum. All was clearly explained of what we were to expect and her dignity & comfort was of your utmost importance! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Tanya, Matt, Beccy, Emma, Jacinta and everyone else that did not have a name tag that I have missed (apologies for not naming you although I realise there were a few). Warmest regards, Julie-Ann Zabell on behalf of Lesley Kelly & her loved ones. xx ❤️

Professional and personal care by great staff – A big thank you to all the staff. From domestic staff, to food provided to all the kind and experienced nurses, allied health and doctors, you all helped to make an unexpected stay in the hospital bearable and as comfortable as possible. No complaints from me! The new building is a great addition to Caboolture Health Community and I’m sure it will only improve over time.

Good hospital. Needs some things done – Caboolture Hospital is a good hospital, but some things need to be fixed. Instructions on how to use the Cbord patient meal ordering app are poor. The Hospital identification is cabh. Your identification number, for example, is 123456. These are on your patient wrist band.. You will need to open a new account with email and password. After opening… Read more

the app and signing in with the details, click the "Categories" button, choose Meals, Drinks or Snacks etc, Select each item you want and add it. Click the "Order Summary" button at the bottom to see your selections so far. Click the arrow top left to go back and select more to finish your order. Click Order Summary again, then click to submit your order.

Half of the hospital is still the old hospital. The new renovation was built around it with modern new sections. The old sections do not have touch PC screens to order meals and do not have side phones to order, so the mobile phone app is needed. There is a tendency to forget giving you meals in the old sections. Don't be shy. If you are hungry or want tea, just ask a nurse.

Hot water for tea jugs should be replaced. Hot water goes down the side into the tray, not into the cup.

Anything not on tray is left including the rubbish. Paper rubbish bags attached to your food trolley must be brought back. Cannot put rubbish in bin when attached to a drip.

My full complement of daily medications only came in on day four, the day I left. A problem here.

There is a major problem (intentional?) with appointments for follow-up clinic appointments after leaving the hospital. The Confirm Your Appointment email from the hospital goes straight into the spam folder, so your appointment is cancelled. How do you mark the email as non-junk if you don't know it's there? Oddly, (I don't think so!) you receive a letter in the post to tell you your appointment is cancelled, but no letter to Confirm Your Appointment is sent to inform you that you have an appointment. Management have put some serious thought into stopping people attending follow-up appointments. Very devious. To be sure you don't miss follow up appointments check incoming messages on your phone daily, and confirm on the phone. And these messages self-disappear after a few days. Of course elderly people check their phone messages daily - hum.

Footnote: Pity the architects hired to design the new renovation had no imagination. The look of the old hospital was much better. It did look like a hospital. Now it looks like a giant cardboard box. Overall, Caboolture Hospital is excellent despite the few issues I have mentioned. The hospital is forward looking. Most of the staff are not Australian born by necessity. We need them. The number of such skilled people required is not available in Australia.

The best care ever – I have previously been in the private sector. I have received the best care and support from the doctors and nurses. Better than private care. Can't thank them enough

Caboolture hospital sucks – Staff were rude, my grandpa passed away from a serious flu infection, staff told us that he should of went to the doctor. He was dying. Staff said they didn’t care, wore no gloves, didn’t even check up on us, the ward was filthy with dust, the meal from the cafeteria was raw and slimy, when my Grandpa died, his body was just dumped on the hallway… Read more

Mental Health Staff – mental health is a illness , that needs to be be treated with respect, but Caboolture mental health hospital treat patients and their families like criminals . Some staff are extremely rude and really are in the wrong job. They think they’re wardens of a prison absolutely deplorable behaviour with no bedside manner at all. Patients are ill and… Read more

need caring professionals to get them well not treated like outcasts of society. I’ve witnessed as a family member visiting the rudeness of these nurses and wonder how the patients are treated when we leave them. I witnessed today a patient who was treated like a 5yr old by the nurse for absolutely no reason, it was downgrading behaviour to an adult well into their 40yrs who is due to be released. However I have also witnessed some beautiful caring helpful nurses as well and they need to be praised because they know what their job entails. I could say a lot more but I will be reporting all I have witnessed in the last few weeks. Be careful your family members deserve the best care when not well.
