Caiwei A10Q
1 review
Caeiwei A10Q reviewed – This projector has a number of issues at this point in time. The first being the projector does not power up with its own screen logo in focus followed by out of focus next pages until autofocus (if set to Auto) is performed. Having this focus issue on every startup cheapens the product experience. The sound generated by the internal cooling fan is more than you would expect especially when the projectors screen intensity option is set to movie mode which should produce the lowest projector temperatures. I was previously using a Panasonic PT-AE8000 on an elite series cinemascope screen. Suspecting that the out of frame image on the Caiwei A10Q on startup might be related to this projector being a 16:9 display I purchased a new 125" fixed screen of 16:9 format. The powerup images being out of focus and zoomed too large before auto focus and manual zoom settings kicked in were still there. The projectors biggest issue though is poor picture quality. My projector is rear ceiling mounted on a fully adjustable mount that ensured the projector is perfectly aligned to screen prior to using the projectors own screen adjustments. Screen focusing is unable to be set so that the image is focused across the complete screen, note this projector states it can handle up to 300" screen and I am only using a 125" screen. No matter what settings I use within the projectors many settings acceptable screen image can not be achieved. If I were to guess i would think that the internal optics has come into contact with assemblers fingers & not wearing gloves, & or the various lens pieces are poorly aligned. The projector does accept 3840 x 2160 Pixels according to my Nvidia shield pro but the image it produces even at this resolution is average to poor. This projector was purchased directly from Caiwei and the model purchased was the one that there support staff recommended based on the requirement's i provided. In stead of a step up in screen display quality over my previous Panasonic projector it has been a step back. Former users of projectors would likely be disappointed with the A10Q as it currently ships. I did communicate directly with Caiwei on a number of occasions but have not yet been able to solve the above issues on this model.
