Callidad removable cartridges for Canon PIXMA printers. Absolute rubbish. They keep sending up error messages which you cannot bypass to just use the colour cartridge. On the odd occasion that they do briefly work I got literally 3 pages printed before it said the cartridge was empty. The other copies were unusable as they were so patchy. I… Read more
bought 2 of the damn things as I have always had a good run with generic ink cartridges right back to the days of filling them with syringes. This i by far and away the worst product of its kind I have used. .

Absolute rubbish. Just trying to print 20 pages! Colour fades, random bright pink all over pages and black smudges all throughout the print. DO NOT BUY, YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR MONEY. I thought I’d try and save a few dollars. However, I had to purchase genuine ink cartridges, as the quality of these are non existent.

My Canon Pixma didn't recognise the Calidad cartridge so I emailed Calidad for advice. Got a courteous and almost instant response suggesting a fix. When that didn't work, Calidad posted me out another cartridge which worked well. Calidad is an Australian company, their products are recycled, they offer an alternative to rip off manufacturers like… Read more · 1
Canon and HP, and they respond to complaints. I think people should temper their malice. Life isn't always perfect, but overall I was impressed by their service.
Waste of time, cartridges are not recognized in my Epson printer. Tried all the troubleshooting methods of installing old ones then new again, resetting memory and wiping chip with tissue. Tried to call Calidad at 4:30pm and their customer service is apparently open till 5pm however no one answered. Luckily Woolworths were happy to provide me with a refund.

I never had any problems with the Calidad ink cartridges, only the refills. But that is more my fault, than the product itself. I have been using Calidad ink cartridges regularly instead of the Canon brand for well over 10-15 years now, and heartily recommend them as a cheaper, and just as reliable replacement for the Canon branded ones. Used for a while now and had one color fail to be recognised by the printer. Sent an email, got some tips and ended up with a full replacement in under 3 days. The nature of manufacturing means that things will fail, but its how companies fix the errors that matters the most. Calidad fixed it as fast as they could, and that is worth a lot.
I recently had an issue with the chip on a replacement cartridge not registering with my printer. Even though it was frustrating I could not have received better service from Calidad. They were totally helpful and responded to my concerns immediately. Am very happy to continue to use their products. Show reply

Purchased calidad for my canon printer. It is not compatible!!!! Dont waste your money ( $70 AUD in my case). I have tried everything to make it work what was suggested. Nada , nothing ! It seems that my printer recognises the chip as not genuine . A while ago i had the same problem. Rip off , what a waste of money. Shame on you calidad! And its… Read more
not even that much cheaper than the original at my supply, where i get a discount . Let the tax man pay for the rest.....
After reading some online instructions (the provided sheet was vaguely worded and poorly illustrated), and with a bit of nerve-racking frustration with the printer I was able to get the Calidad cartridges in my Canon MFC. Apparently, the HP and Epson cartridges also work for many models as long as you find the matching one for your printer model.… Read more
You can buy a twin-pack of them at Officeworks which is convenient. They give you reasonable coverage for the price, comparable to the XL\large OEM-branded cartridges, though it's hard to compare because you don't have any ink level monitoring (using a printer button combo, you disable ink-level monitoring in order to get these 3rd-party carts to work).
The real question is: how much they are saving you, after the hassle and doubt? Assuming a similar amount of ink in each of them compared with original branded ones, I had to outlay $38 per Canon 645XL cartridge, whilst the equivalent Calidad 855 cartridge was $31, a saving of around 18% -- truly not justified in my opinion. If it was around 80% saving, I would feel differently, but as it is I don't see any compelling argument to buy them again.
I'll stick with the slightly more expensive Canon-branded ones until I can justify purchasing a MegaTank\EcoTank printer.

Purchased a full set of 5 Calidad cartridges comparable with Canon CLi 680/681 toner for Canon Pixma TS6300 printer. When I installed them my printer informed me I had installed genuine Canon cartridges. The ink has been terrific with good colur matching and good looking print. Highly recommend. Show reply

I've bought their cartridges for last 2 years, they arw easy to install, print quality is sharp and colours look good for home and office use. Great option if you want to reduce printing costs without noticeable loss in quality Show reply
I understand why some people are having issues using these cartridges. In many cases, it is actually due to printer manufacturers blocking non genuine cartridges through firmware updates, rather than a fault with the cartridges themselves. I ran into this problem after my printer updated its firmware automatically, and the cartridges stopped… Read more · 1
working. I contacted Calidad support, and they were helpful, they explained that there are different versions of their cartridges, and sent me a newer version that is designed to work around this issue.
If you are having trouble, it is worth reaching out to their support team before giving up. Also, I would recommend turning off automatic firmware updates on your printer, as future updates may block third party cartridges again.
Overall, while the compatibility issue is frustrating, the company’s support and willingness to resolve it made a big difference.
Very happy with the service after some initial technical issues which were promptly rectified – I did have an issue with the HP67 cartridges I initially purchased. I contacted Calidad help line and received two new cartridges in the post which had the new programming and worked perfectly. Show reply
Unusable – The ink is just too patchy, colour and black ink, documents are unreadable. My Epson XP 4200 was working flawlessly with Epson cartridges prior to putting Calidad ones in, I just hope I've not ruined my printer for good.

Terrible product – Third time I've tried Calidad ink. First two times with an Epson 2000. Could not get it to recognize. Just now tried again with an xp2200. Will not recognize. Crappest product ever. Now I have to go and argue with Woolworths who told me last time that it wasn't their problem and I need to deal with Calidad directly. The ACCC needs to get onto this company.

Problem solved easily – I bought this product from a supermarket and when installed the cyan did not work. After a phone call to Calidad a complete set of cartridges was sent to me very promptly free of charge. They worked well. Very happy with the courteous service Show reply
Calidad, poor product! – We went to Cartridge World for their brand replacement ink and it worked well but didn't give as many pages as Epson cartridges, but they probably worked out cheaper so we bought another 4 cartridge package. This time we tried Calidad as they were sold everywhere so we thought they must be ok. Wrong! We replaced the Magenta and Cyan as they were… Read more
almost empty. My pages printed but were wishy washy and colours were not true. Did a head clean and a few print page checks and it showed Cyan not working but other colours Black, Yellow and Magenta worked fine. I've never had this problem with any previous printers or cartridges before. I won't buy Calidad again!

Ink doesn't place on the paper properly - completely unusable – This ink is egregious. The colour is terrible (eg. yellow comes out pink), and the text is missing half the characters, has spots everywhere, and smudges as it comes out of the printer. I printed the same page three times trying to get one that's legible and it's all patchy. I thought it was either my printer or a bad cartridge but after trying two cartridges and two printers now I realise this brand of ink is just garbage.

Thank goodness for these reviews – I had never actually heard of this brand of ink cartridges until today (10.4.24), so I decided to do some research before buying - So glad I found these reviews first. I couldn't find the correct cartridges for my printer on their website, except for one which was "out of stock", so I called them for more info. My call was answered by [Name… Read more
Removed] who sounded quite young with a trace of a [Content Removed] accent, she checked the stock & then told me that they don't make cartridges for my printer anymore. I noted that the Calidad compnay is 100% Australian owned - but that does not mean Australian made. I asked [Name Removed] where their cartidges are made, & her reply was "I can't tell you that". After originally being helpful, she became very snooty when I said to her "Well don't you think you should know?" - Silence - so I asked "are they made in [Content Removed]" & received a repeated & very curt "I can't tell you that". It's been my experience that all compatible cartridges are indeed made in [Content Removed], & while you might be lucky to get some use out of them, they are mainly junk & not worth the bother. You might save a few dollars but you'll pay extra in time, anguish & frustration. I won't be buying any of this brand.

Great customer service experience – I have used Calidad over the years with no problems but recently a cartridge failed to be recognised by the printer so I contacted Customer Service. They gave me some step to follow but determined that the cartridge was faulty, they then rectified it without fuss. Show reply

Not Compatible and a total waste of money – Purchased the colour for my HP Envy 6032e and it was not recognised. Told Calidad and they sent a replacement which didn't work either. I then bought a new black and a new colour Calidad at BigW thinking that would solve the problem. Neither worked. Thinking it may be a printer issue, I purchased a new HP Envy 6034e only to find neither… Read more
cartridge worked in that either. Numerous follow up emails to [Name Removed] in their department have failed to elicit a response. It's nothing but a dud product made by a dud company with a useless customer service department.
RUBBISH – Put in printer & it worked for 1 page then came up ink was empty. Tried everything to reset & it still didn't work. Took it back to Woolies & they exchanged cartridge. Got it home worked for 1 page then it's also stopped working. Absolutely disgusting this company can sell this rubbish. DO NOT BUY THESE.
Waste of money - Canon MG260 – The black worked for a week, then failed to print reliably. Lines missing, no fine detail. Test print confirmed that the print head was missing lines and would no clear/clean them. The colour ink, dried up after 10 pages of mostly B/W image printing. No cyan. Changed to second cartridge. Still no blue. Cleaned times, no change. Don't… Read more
waste your money on these.
I'm going to buy a different printer. Damned if I'll be held to ransom by ink cartridge prices or calidad products again. Never again.
Do not work in Canon pixma colour printers – Avoid this brand like the plague. I totally wasted my money purchasing them as a replacement for my expensive Canon inks for my Pixma Printer. The printer does not recognise them, and will not print at all with them inserted - despite the false advertising on the Calidad box, stating they can be used in the Canon TS8060 Printer. Lost my receipt, so could not get a refund.
Great support – I had an issue with compatibility with my HP Printer but after contacting Calidad I am full of praise for their support in solving my issue. They went above and beyond to look after this customer. Thank You
