Worst Printer Ever – This is the worst printer I have ever owned. I have installed, deleted, re-installed several times and cannot get the printer to print. When it does, it only prints sections of the pages and takes about 15 minutes to print one page. Absolute devastating when you need a printer for work at home and spend such a long time trying to pick a good one,… Read more
only to spend $470 on something that doesn't work. Waste of money - if I could give it 0 stars I would.
Always had Cannon Printers, this one is a serious disappointment – My old Cannon multi function printer which had served me faultlessly for many years would not work with Win 10 so I Upgraded(?) to the G6060 because it offered ink tanks and the other functionality I was used to. Set the printer up and after initial setup it has refused to connect wirelessly again no matter how many times I attempt to redo the… Read more
setup, the manual shows a button to reset that simply is not on the hardware. When connecting it with a cable the result is to be polite erratic and no matter what I do I cannot get my second laptop to communicate with it, wifi with this unit is a waste of time as it seems incapable of consistently staying connected to anything. The print quality is average and not particularly fast. The whole thing feels quite cheaply built for a $500.00 printer. I have always chosen Cannon printers over the years because they have always been reliable, well built and have had good driver software with them, the G6060 has none of these things. Have had it 3 months and have used it twice, both times it has taken stupid amounts of time (1+ hours) to get a simple print out due to utter unreliability of the coms (wifi or cable) with the adjacent computer. Extreme backward step for Cannon, very disappointed with this unit.
Horrid for it's price – Setup was very easy and i love the ink installation but actually getting this mf to print is excruciating. It keeps saying there's no paper loaded even though it deffinatly has paper in it, and is aligned like it wants me to. You have to retry so many times just to print 1 page. And it keeps happening after it finally works. Waste of money, i… Read more
thought i was saving myself the stress of printer problems by spending more than id like, but no. Can't even do what a cheap printer can.
Waste of time and money – Went through unpacking and ink filling procedure and then switched it on. The LCD display would not light up and it would not go past the first set up function (Language). I took it back the next day to Office Works for a full refund. Probably why Harvey Norman do not sell this model. Regards, George Show details
The most frustrating unreliable printer you'll ever buy – Half of the time when I need to use this printer, it simply refuses to work. The print quality is good. The screen is tiny and hard to read except in very bright light. The app works most of the time, but most times I can't print duplex even though the printer supports it. Printing from Windows doesn't work more times than it does and I've… Read more
reinstalled the print driver several times.
Just don't do it.
UPDATE: After 2 years of ownership, I've had the pink hue issue on every printout. Apparently this is common to Canon printers. Running all the maintenance options including ink flush (highly wasteful), fixed this partially but now all printouts are patchy with missing areas particularly blacks. So I'm having to return it again, this time it's not under warranty. Don't trust any reviews for this printer where the user hasn't used it for at least 6 months.
Total Waste Of Money Do Not Buy You Have Been Warned – Easy to set up initially but after that it is temperamental, wouldn’t print from computer next to it, sometimes would print from apple devices, would say no paper when there was plenty, error 2110 displayed sometimes, it jammed, it reset itself from the time you set it to the time you pressed print. Scanning was a nightmare, impossible to get… Read more
consistent usage from it. Turning it off created a whole plethora of issues. Canon were useless with help. Have had at least 10 pri terms and this is the worst. It is now in the bin!
Don't buy on a great appearance – Initial set up was great and simple to do. Unfortunately the rest is a never ending issue. If it sits idle for few days, its all over. I feel like i am always trying to reset it or some memory in it is lost. Tells me out of paper, when there is plenty. I have all devices set to print and constantly can't print, from no device found, to resetting… Read more
plain paper, to A4 etc, constantly waiting for something. I love the cartridge ink saver, its brilliant, hence the reason I bought it. Colour printouts are wonderful, without feeling guilty to print in colour. Again though, i am constantly battling to reset, go through menu to get it all working and recognising prompt. Canon have helped me in the past when i emailed them, they have been great. Although I really dont have the time to constantly do that either, every time a new issue comes up. Frustrating printer, officially can write off in current tax return and go buy another brand with the same ink cartridge option (will never go back to old cartridge replacement system thats for sure) A little less temperamental and moody printer is all we need!
Do Not Waste Your Money – Unfortunately, our decision to buy this printer in now very much regrettable. While instructions and setup was intially easy - we constant fall into many problems with usage. The printer sits in idle mode and won't print on command - unless you 'wake it up'. Every time we try to scan a doc - it prompts with USB only and won't connect to wifi. It… Read more
has trouble recognising docs from our phone and won't print these, unless we send them to the computer. Sometimes it prints from the back tray, other times from the front tray. Jams easily! A total waste of money!
Not the CANON Quality of Printer I Expected Considering the Very High Price!! – Well I was looking for a Modern, Functional and High End Home/Office Printer - and after much Research I settled on the Canon Pixma Endurance G6060 Printer. Some of my Research was completed on the Canon Australia Website. It's amazing just how much better Canon (and others) can make their printers look Online compared to the Actual Printer when… Read more
it arrives. It wasn't an easy decision to make as the Price Tag ($550) was what I considered to be Extremely High compared to many other printers on the market. My final decision came down to refillable Ink Tanks - the ability to purchase reasonably priced ink bottles and actually fill the ink tanks myself when they became low. To be honest - I am so sick of buying printers (and I have had quite a few) that actually cost less than the replacement cartridges you have to buy to keep the printer working. I have always believed that this is where printer manufacturers make most of their money. The environment was also a consideration for me. The printer itself was relatively easy to set-up. Removing all that orange tape first (which is a pain but necessary) - then installing the 2 Printer Heads (1 x Black and 1 x Colour). From there it was easy to get it up and running although I wanted to connect it to my computer by WiFi - and eventually gave up and connected it with a USB Cable. Also setting up the WiFi was further difficult because I didn't understand how to enter your Modem Password when there was no numeric keypad (This printer is Print, Copy, Scan Only). The quality of the build of this printer is where I am really disappointed. The Scanner Cover is flimsy and not representative of a High Priced Printer. The body of the printer shows blemishes in the finish which again is not expected in this High Priced Printer. It does have a 2 Line Display but this is very small and although tiltable - often difficult to read. I know that printers are designed to print and that the finish of the product is not important to some - but again for the price - it was important to me and to the subsequent look of my office. The ink tanks were remarkably easy to fill (All 4). I was worried when I read their warning about - if you basically get ink on your clothing - it won't come out in the wash - but there was no leakage as long as I followed the directions carefully. You can clearly see the various ink levels which is a bonus. The printer works ok although in Quiet Mode (and I suspect in any mode) - it is Slow compared to my last Brother Printer. All in All - If I had seen the printer in person first - I wouldn't have spent this kind of money. There are better looking and better performing printers on the market for half the price if not less!! Why do Printer Manufacturers NOT include a USB Cable - because they basically save money that way!! The Printer, Copier and Scanner do exactly what they are supposed to do - but there are many other printers out there for a much more reasonable price that do the same thing. Disappointed Canon. I changed over from Brother after many years ..... and this turned out to be a mistake for me. I have learned a valuable lesson from this experience - Expensive is NOT always the Best!!
