I wish I had read the reviews on this printer before I purchased it on special at Officeworks, the salesman told me it was just plugged and play that it would connect to my iPhone automatically, which was a total lie, I try for 3 1/2 hours to… Read more
connect my iPhone to this printer, and never again what I buy a Canon product, it’s just been a total waste of time and money.
Follow-up · Yes, I did try to connect it with my iPad as well as my iPhone need methods would connect, as far as printing printing is okay but it won’t connect online, said before I would not recommend this product, besides plug and play and connect in automaticly is incorrect, I would not recommend this product.
This is the first time in my life I have gone out of my way to leave a review for for something I have purchased. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER. nothing works. Won't connect to pc, won't connect to WiFi. There is no trouble shooting no way of fixing the issue. Literally nothing u can do. U are better off spending the money on anything but this printer.… Read more
I have been so frustrated over a product. I honestly believe it's not even a printer. There selling a fake product pretending it's a printer.
Unreliable, had to keep reconnecting to WIFI, waste of time and $$ Show details
Absolutely useless printer! It prints ok if you can get the damn thing working. Forget wireless usage, it’s time wasting nonsense and only gets you frustrated. It takes me literally two hours to print 3 or 4 items that should take 5 minutes and have to keep switching it on and off for it to work. I can’t believe companies put these things out for sale with so many inherent flaws. Lift your game canon, not good enough. Show details
At first i thought it easy to use but the cartridges were difficult to install., I had a lot of issues with the cartridges no matter what brand it is, it always comes up error. I only had it since last year not even one year and also scan and copy was time consuming.. very disappointed. I have to buy another printer for quality use. Show details
Bad experience with Canon printer – I bought a printer less than 6 months ago to do a small amount of home printing and it has stopped working, Tried the fixit chat with Canon but it was hopeless with links sent to me to follow. I cannot get it to print from my laptop or phone which it did in the past. I purchased from Officeworks, however cannot find the receipt to make a claim.
Use your brains – Great easy to use instructions could have been clearer. My laptop died and I found this as an easy way to print what I needed from my iPad and IPhone. If you can’t work it out find someone who can, I am 75 had no worries just read the instructions carefully and you will succeed! Show details
Canon ts3460 printer – Not bad for the price HOWEVER the process of wireless connection is incredibly unreliable , i have to regularly repeat the process of using the wireless connection software from the canon website. I have no idea why this is so , don't want to spend an hour fighting just to FIND my printer every time i power down my PC. overall i would not buy… Read more
this printer again or strictly use with usb connection , save yourself the frustration and do not buy this printer.
Tip Fodder – Bought it from OfficeWorks specifically to print out Web Tickets. Had trouble with it straight away. Wouldn't print straight. Cleaned it, did all the maintenance. Put it away. A year later - paper jam. Cleaned it, still wouldn't print. There are far better products out there. Canon, you need to lift your game. Show details
paperweight – went through the lovely process of connecting to the network printed fine a few times ... then decided I no longer want to be a printer .. fine in the bin .. in short, don't buy this piece of junk.. oh once mighty Canon what has become of you? Show details
Build in redundancy! – While the printer performed at best average, I found out that Cannon uses a build in error that popped up after two years and made the printer unusable. The error is built in the software and can only be removed if you buy the Cannon service pack. There is actually nothing wrong with the printer! These semi-criminal practices are well known in the printer industry. I will never buy Cannon again and urge everybody else to do the same.
Printing well – After we had HP printers the last few years we decided this time on a different Bran, Canon TS3460. It can be used as a Printer, Copier an/or Scanner. Connect it wireless or with a cable to your PC or even Smartphone. It was easy to set up via cable, we had issues with the wireless connection.. It will be only used at home for personal use. We… Read more
can't say how well it will be perform in the future because we just recently purchased it. Lets see how long the Cardrigde last, but I believe they are cheaper to buy than HP.

Avoid at all costs – We bought this printer and got it home and unboxed it, straight away we had problems, first with the printer not recognising the ink cartridge. When I tried to set up using a USB cable to my laptop, the Canon website the instructions recommend don't have Australia as an option or the printer model. I tried Canon Australia website and that told me that the driver was no longer available for this model. Show details
Just don't! – Although I found this printer very easy to set up and connect to my laptop, the quality is appalling. I should have guessed by the price. It's very lightweight and the parts stick (the blue plastic slide to select the paper size and the part which slides out at the bottom to hold the copies). It is impossible to get a square copy - every print is… Read more
askew. The quality of the inks are so poor, the prints look as if they've been designed in pastel shades. Even when the saturation on my laptop is at it's maximum, the copies are pale and the text in particular is grey rather than black. I bought the printer 12 months ago and can no longer use it because the paper feed doesn't work. Do yourself a favour and spend the extra money and get a decent printer. I just wish I'd checked the reviews before I wasted my money.
Never buy this Canon printer (or any ); the reason is because of the ink cartridges – Never buy this Canon printer (or any ); the reason is because of the ink cartridges. Canon are stealing from their customers, by forcing them to purchase expensive replacement cartridges, when in actual fact you can purchase refill inks for a fraction of the cost. Only Canon has figured out how they can stop people from doing this, and that’s by… Read more
inserting a chip into the cartridge, which the printer remembers, so you have to literally replace the whole cartridge so then the printer will recognise “oh it’s a different one” and start printing. So even if your ink cartridge is full, it will still give you an error message stating replace black ink cartridge, and it will refuse to print. In the new models, this can’t be overridden, like the previous models could be, by pressing the stop button for 10secs. This is sneaky thieving thinking by canon, with the ulterior intention being, to overcharge customers with ink. It’s blatant theft. YOU OFFER US A PRODUCT FOR OUR MONEY THANKS VERY MUCH, AND NOT A CHANCE TO STEAL - THE BASIC CONCEPT OF SALES, YOU SUPPLY US A PRODUCT AND WE PAY YOU FOR IT. WE DO NOT PAY YOU FOR THINGS YOU DO NOT SUPPLY. I recommend Epson because they have refillable cartridges. Plus they have ECO friendly ones.
There were also other problems regarding setting up – I had to call customer support 5 times, with their instructions not working. My PC did not recognize it, I still have to reboot the PC every time I need to print something. Plus you cannot use the coloured ink if the black runs out. Its just a really bad NUISANCE printer.
Never works on wifi – I have never been able to get this to work on wifi, how can it be so difficult. It does work on cable very well. I don't like the buttons or the instructions both are unclear and confusing Show details
Just don't – Installation was a headache, I couldn't get the driver from 'IJ start Canon' website because of error C0000022. I searched the web for that error and learned that it happens quite a lot and yet, Canon support charges you if they help you to solve it. So, I got the driver from a third party website. The interface in the scanning desktop app is not… Read more
friendly and the options are limited. If the printer/scanner get into standby mode, I have to wake it up manually to make it print or scan (never happen to me before with any other printer/scanner I used). The scanner is extremely loud.
