Wish I'd read these reviews before purchasing. Bought a TS5360a from Officeworks a few days ago and had the same problems as many of the reviewers on here. After initial setting up, the printer printed out a few test sheets of boxes in blue and black ink. I then printed out one page in colour and about ten in black and white. Not able to print… Read more

anything after that. Tried all the usual things. Looked up Q&A websites. Tried everything suggested. Nothing happened.

Rang Officeworks, sat on hold for eight minutes and then was cut off. Called back and asked for manager. Explained what had happened and was asked if I'd set it up properly, had I checked the plug, was the printer turned on, did it have any paper in it, et cetera. Unbelievable. Took it back and they swapped it for a new one. Got it home, set it up, waited while it did the test prints, then printed one page of colour stuff and a few of just black and white and then, guess what? Nothing. Exactly the same problem.

If you're contemplating getting one of these, please read all the reviews on here! If you've already bought one and are trying to fix problems like this up, don't waste any more time. Just take it back to the seller. If you want an exchange, exchange it for another type of printer, because this one's a dud. Or just get your money back.

I bought a TS6360a a couple of days ago - it has been a nightmare to install using wifi connection - called in computer tech guy & he was also unable to install it - ended up having to use USB cable instead which is not the way I wanted to use the printer - cost me an additional $70 for help with the installation - finally up & running & seems… Read more

easy to use although the tiny buttons etc on the front as very difficult to see (have to use magnifying glass) Lucky we have a 30 day money back guarantee from where we bought it and if it gives any more trouble that will be where it is going - I though Canon was a reliable brand but after this experience I won't be buying that brand again

Worse than previous Canon printers – I have been using Canon printers for 20 years. This is the worst printer I have ever used. Every time I try to print something, the printer refuses to print because of something wrong with the paper supply. I have wasted my money and have to buy another printer. Show details

Printer developed the same printing problem in both TS6360 printers we purchased – This is our second Ts6360 and has developed the same problem every 5th line in black printing is faint or blurred. We have done all of the novel checks and deep cleaning and nothing fixes the problem making the printer useless. The first printer was out of warranty, so no option but to replace it and as we had lots of ink went with the same printer and not it has the same problem. Waste of money. Show details

Ts6360a – I think in view of previous printers I have owned the ts6360a would be one of worst printers I have ever known. The quality is good but it's not user friendly I can not understand y Canon would release this rubbish that work colleagues cannot us it. Quiet frankly don't buy one. You will be horrified at the wast of time it will consume. Show details

Very poor design – I purchased this printer so that I could print onto DVDs. This particular function never worked from day 1. The removable tray did not work and the display panel, which was designed to raise up to 45°, actually made it impossible to see the tray without kneeling on the floor! The printer appeared to have an elaborate warm up which uses ink up in… Read more

the process. Printing on Glossy Photo paper was frustrating as the printer kept asking for A4 paper to be loaded even after the Glossy Paper was inserted. I have been able to secure a refund from Canon because of the difficulties with the DVD tray.

Worst printer I've ever owned – I've owned printers literally since the 1980s when I had my 24-pin dot matrix Epson. I've even owned a printing *business* with printers worth upwards of $200K. So I know my way around printers and design, with 35+ years as a graphic designer/printer. I've had this printer a few years and it is awful. It chews up ink when starting up like a kid… Read more

in a candy shop. The wi-fi is spotty at best, and other times despite a brand new laptop, latest drivers -- cannot connect to scan or print. It is on, the status window is good -- but it won't accept files to print.

And when it does print, it is woeful. Eg I send a file to print that only consists of yellow ink, it comes out the wrong colour (way too much magenta in the mix -- should be none). The quality is okay -- but that's no help when the colour is wrong.

On the plus side, the size is good and the scanning option is good -- when it works, which is not very often. The copy option is okay too, but I don't use that.

I'm about to replace it -- but definitely with another brand.

It is not perfect but it is the best for my requirements – When Inkjet printers appeared in the market they were very expensive and the the cost of the two ink cartridges (one black and one with the four colours) was about one tentth of the cost of the printer. The disadvantage for the user was that when one colour of the colour cartridge was empty the cartridge was useless and had to be replaced. Tnen… Read more

individual cartriges for each colour appeared - a great advantage for the user! Then the price of the printer went bellow the price of a full set of cartriges and lately the individual cartriges were practically phased out. A few still remain and TS6360a is one of them and this is the main reason why I favoured it, despite the many negative reviews that I read. Instalation was easy but it can be tricky for the uninitiated. I am pleased to say that its performance exceeded my expectations. Print qualiity is very good on both text and colour. It is reasonably fast for an inkjet printer. Printing from the computer is easy and for colour it will accept thicker paper. I am using this printer for colour only and a Brother Laser Printer for text On the negative side, the LCD display is vey small. Increasing or decreasing the size of a picture is not as flexible as I expected. The price of a set of full cartriges (XXL) is greater than the price of the printer. There are three types of cartriged: Normal about 200 pages, XL 400 pages and XXL 600 Pages.

Pathetic! – WORST Canon printer I have EVER owned, and I've had a few. I can't even find a manual online to find out how to make it print from my preference of rear or cassette for a particular job. The 'controls' on the tiny front display are not relevant to my needs in a home situation. I HATE being asked to use QR 'code' blocks for information on a tiny little box or my phone! Show details

WORST PRODUCT EVER – This is the worst product I have ever purchased and I have purchased quite a lot of things in 30 years of my life. And I have never felt such dissatisfaction for an inanimate object. Maybe it is aimed at the company who made this crappy product. I will not recommend it to anyone. Show details

Worst Canon printer I’ve owned – I’ve owned a few Canons through the years and stuck with the brand. Not now. The old Pixma MG printer that I replaced was a fine printer and took only a couple of minutes to set up. In contrast, I struggled for a couple of hours to set up the ts6360a, and there are still some functions that elude me. Disappointing and frustrating. Can do better, Canon. Show details

I hate this printer – I've always loved canon products - bought multiple cameras and printers over the years, but this one sucks. When it works, it prints just fine, but most of the controls are via your phone or laptop - and lets just say this has a mind of it's own - some days it wants to talk to my other tech, other days not. It should come with a free meditation app, cos it's certainly presents me with opportunities to learn to be patient. Show details

Money Eater – Eats Ink like there's not tomorrow, my old HP printer would last months before needing ink. This printer asks for more after about 6 copies. Pain you have to first turn on printer before printing, and have to scan or copy from app on phone. Did not expect this, as previous printer was 10+ years old and did these functions directly from printer.… Read more

Does print well, but so it should. Disappointed I veered away from a brand I knew I could trust. DO NOT BUY!

Need to use their proprietary software to unlock scanner function – Absolute rubbish, not advertised anywhere on the box, but the scanning function is only available through their own Canon software. So good luck when they decide to stop servicing your OS, or your printer. No physical USB option like older Canon printer/scanners. As someone who does a tonne of scanning for work, this has soured me off Canon in a big way. Show details

Poor quality machine, terrible service from company – The printer suddenly stopped communicating by wi-fi with my modem. Not at all what I had hoped for – I purchased this printer as I was in need a printer and was in quarantine. When putting photo paper in the back you have to do the opposite of what the diagram says. It also… Read more

Does a reasonable job as a budget printer – I've owned the TS6360 for about 8 months. Overall, for general printing of documents and low res images, it does pretty well. It also prints on reliably on 200GSM paper if fed from the rear tray, but scanning from my Mac has been unreliable at best. Pros: - Decent quality document printing and low res images (not tried photos) - Very easy to set… Read more

up and connect to local WiFi - Ability to print on 200GSM paper (fed from rear tray)

Cons: - Slow printing and buffering of pages (particularly when printing double-sided) - Unreliable scanning through Canon IJ Scan app on Mac. Often fails to scan multi-page documents resulting in a 1 min scan taking 20. Sometimes a restart of the printer temporarily fixes the issue

Shocking printer even worse customer service – Printer specs state 100 sheet tray..can put in 50 sheets MAX to avoid spooling issues ad your printing to be right at the top of the page. After countless hours with customer service they told me that well maybe 50 sheets is the max and there is nothing they can do. Show details

Canon TS6360 – I hate it hate it hate it hate it. I've always bought Canon going back to more than 25 years as they're easily the best printers around. This time I bought the TS6360. Normal printing is excellent and I have no problems there. The problem starts when you try to print a high res paper from the cassette tray - or any other tray come to think… Read more

about it. The printer is now telling me that I can't as the cassette only prints from plain paper.

Trying to print from the rear tray is just as stressful as the printer tells me the size is wrong or the paper is wrong or there's snow on the line or anything but what I've told the ruddy printer.

Canon has made the printer controlling me rather than the other way round, eg I've always been able to tell the printer: A4 High Gloss, High res, photo. Try to do that now and it tells me to effoff as that's not in the rules given when the printer was set up.

Trying to print double sided from Hallmark Card Studio is almost impossible now as the printer keeps telling me that paper is incorrect.

I hate the Canon TS6360 so tell me what I'm doing wrong please.

Great Printer for price – Just bought the Canon TS 6360 printer and tested it out for the quality of its photo printing. On gloss photo paper it left roller marks which spoilt the photo but color was great, so tested again using Canon Matte photo paper and it came out perfect, my suggestion would be to use only the Matte photo paper for a good quality photo print. No hassel printing ...! – I purchased Canon TS6360 from BigW last week. Setting up the printer was easy. Prompts are clear on screen and no hassle in connecting to wifi. I use mobile app for printing. This is mainly for my documents and quite happy with print quality. Show details

Good printing – The printer is great - fast and efficient and I like the efficiency and savings of using double sided printing. However, the scanner isn't so straightforward and is quite convoluted to work out the how to's. My old Epson scanner was so much easier to use, though the printer was pretty rubbish. Can't get everything in one item obviously!!  Show details

A good printer with a problem on spooling – The TS6360 replaced a previous Canon which died after four years. This was one selected for its ability to handle 250g paper. TS thick paper comes in via rear tray. Smart move in design as too thick to go around rollers well. However the printer seems to develop a spooling problem (like Kevin W review). I went into the Services section located… Read more

Printer spooling tried restart but no luck. I can print 50 items without a problem but once the spooling monster grips the printer it is time to shut things down which is annoying. Print quality - we have compared the colour from previous Cannon printer MG (running Cannon ink) with the TS and the MG gave better colour quality. Spooling means the computer to printer handshake not working. It seems to be more of a problem with the DTP applications rather than Word.

Works. Does the trick – Printer works well. Can print from multiple laptops and phones and scan to computer. Uses some ink but better than our last printer. Just printed another black page with the message saying the colour has run out so hopefully it lets us do that for a while. A bit rich as we never use colour and it still chews up colour. But better that our old one. Show details

A cheap printer that punches above it's belt – I purchased this printer as a replacement for a very old Pixma 980, which was a phenomenal printer for its time. My greatest need for a printer is availability of 3rd party inks (ebay), and also photo quality. This printer is easy to use (though it doesn't directly scan from the printer to a device, and scanning setup on a PC is not as intuitive… Read more

as it probably should be.

The photo and print quality is excellent. And there's easy to use software for mobile devices to print directly to the machine, once it's on a network.

All in all, I'm very satisfied with this machine. It's cheap to buy, and although the official inks are expensive, there's plenty of ebay options for the XXL inks that makes the printing costs a non-issue.

Excellent – Good printer at an good price. We've only had it a week, but for the money it is a beauty......so far. For low use printing, occasional color, and occasional scanning, it seems ideal. Very easy to set up, and the print is fast, and clear. We won't use it often, but it is a necessity to be easy to use & reliable. JB HiFi guy gave me a good tip… Read more

- print a page with a small amount of color once a month to keep the print heads(?) from drying out - the machine is scrap if this happens.

Best printer ever – Easy to set up on both smart devices and PC. Decent printer price and reasonable ink cartridges costs. Replace only the 1 out 5 colours that runs out and approximately $25-$35 per colour.
