Expensive short life ink cartridges. Quality prints – I read it is discontinued and just as well. While producing excellent prints it simply drinks ink that is very expensive. Each time it is started it goes through a long 'dance' (I presume because it is a pigment suspension ink that needs a shake) but that contributes to the short life of those expensive cartridges. Not recommended.
unreliable ink supply – The quality of the prints is excellent. The quality of the build seems fine. Service from Canon is excellent - except as outlined below. The supply of ink from Canon can be appalling. Sometimes its just fine and other times, like I'm experiencing now, its completely unacceptable. There has been a 2 month wait for 2 of their tanks! This can mean the print head can clog with lack of use. Also, if just one ink tank is empty, the machine will not print, so I can do nothing! Cannot be recommended.
