A waste of resources and my money – Print head stuffed. Printer now landfill like millions of other printers . This industries wasteful business plan with its cartridges and chips and print heads not designed for replacement generate a massive waste of resources. They should be forced to comply to sustainable standards. Show details

No end of trouble getting it to print to disk – I have had a TS8160 to be able to print to disk and whenever I get to the insert disk section, I am told to remove the disk tray. Not so bad at first but now it simply repeats the request continuously. I have always like Canon printers and would like to replace this model with one that will print to disk without problems Show details

Unethical Profiteering from Canon – Canon have decided to show some serious unethical profiteering with their printers. If you wish to print a black piece of text and your yellow or cyan ink is out. YOU CAN NOT. You have to go and buy new ink cartridges and they cost MORE than the cost of a new printer. I won't abide by such blatant dishonesty and obvious profiteering from Canon.… Read more

When the ink is out, it will be to the trash for Canon and never in my life will I ever buy a Canon product of any description. Avoid at all costs.

Great Technical help but poor product. Shame on Canon – I bought this printer and from the start had problems. Scanning documents were not sharp. Printing was hit and miss. The print dialogue often didn't appear so you could not specify which paper source (there were two) to use. The standard of printing improved after at least four tries with every fourth or fifth line blurred or partly missing. A… Read more

clean improved the standard but meant ink was being used quickly. The instruction book did not address these issues. I contacted Canon on many occasions for help and their response was quick, polite and helpful. This was very time consuming. This lulled me into a false sense of security as I was hopeful that issues could be resolved. When I came to the conclusion that this device was a lemon it was now out of warranty. Even though this must have been obvious to Canon in view of the number of contacts, their response was it's out of warranty, get it fixed at your own expense which may be more expensive than a new printer. I have no option but to throw it out (I can't even sell it) and buy a new printer. It definitely won't be a Canon.

Replace the third printer – I am about to take back the third TS8060 I have had since May 2017. They have all had the same problem telling me that there is an object in front of the printer. I was quite happy with the printer and found it easy to use and print papers. The refills are little expensive but I found they lasted longer than usual. I am thinking it is time to get another brand.  Show details

So far very impressed – I purchased this yesterday to replace an Epson printer which was problematic. This is my first Cannon printer. I've previously has a number of HPs followed by a really bad Epsom. This had easy set-up, problem-free wireless installation on a number of devices with minimal human participation, The unit feels solid and well put together. … Read more

Great features such as a touch screen and internal paper tray. It also seems fairly self-contained which will hopefully reduce problems with dust.

So far seems great.

Cd printing frustrations – I bought a TS8060 specifically for cd printing but I've spent hours so far going back over the instructions, insrtuction videos etc etc and no joy... just steam!!! Canon have no customer support help line. Now I'm scanning the net for clear consumer instructions but have only found other complaints.  Show details

Good quality printing – I needed to replace my old inkjet and choose the PIXMA TS8060. So far it has been great and print quality both on plain paper and the glossy photos has exceeded my expectations. The wifi connectivity thus far has also been seem less from a Mac, Windows desktop and iOS devices. Highly recommend it.  Show details

Wanted it for disc printing. DVD/CD Printing – Its really hard. After many hours of trying and calling canon I still have not printed one print on a disc. Why is it so hard? Now I am looking at doing a course. Youtube did not help. Thinking about returning for a refund. Not happy. Lady Age 55 Melbourne Australia I have had canon in the past and they WERE good. An upmarket Canon that does many good things and one thing very badly – This machine is a fine deal for printing, for easy connection to WiFi, a phone, network, your PC, for all these things its as good as most and probably better than some. However, there is a very DARK side to this machine, whilst it is a scanner its ONLY a one sheet at a time scanner, in fact in the downloadable and also the online user manuals… Read more

there is only scant reference to scanning at all. With no document feeder this things is the slowest scanner in the past 7 years. I am finding this significant shortcoming highly irritating since the MX310 Canon could do this kind of thing no problem.

It's a don't buy from me, one sheet scanning is not on.

Good photo printer - so far happy – I have been using this for last few days, so far impressive quality photo printer that comes with 9600x2400 dpi @1 picoliter (I assume this is 1 picoliter - as most other Canon PIXMA are 1 PCL). As this printer got six (06) cartridges, this prints heaps better than its predecessor Canon printers those comes with five (05) cartridges. I use "Glossy… Read more

II" paper for photo print - I can see significant improvement compared to my previous Canon Pixma 9600x2400 @1 PCL model (five cartridges). The size is small and look is beautiful - I bought the white model. Comes with an expandable paper A4/Letter tray that can holds 100 pages - most other Canon Inkjet these days are missing practical paper tray.

People are talking about NFC printing - I haven't found it is useful; Home WiFi does the connectivity job well.

Does support Cloud printing/scanning - Dropbox, Google Drive, Facebook, etc. a big list there.

The Cloud app on this printer does need FULL access to your cloud account such as Dropbox, Google, Microsoft - not sure how secure the authorisation delegation process from this cloud app to the Cloud Account. If the printer security is compromised - then your documents are exposed to all!

Does not support USB printing or Scan to USB.

This is a pricey printer - I paid $179 from Officeworks.

Looks like it sucks a good amount of ink.

The Cloud App on the printer should have options to limit access and security to certain folder(s) on Dropbox/GoogleDrive/Microsoft.
