CapCut

I heard about Capcut from Chat GPT as a good AI driven video application. I installed it and completed a video, and found it worked well enough. However, the problems emerged when I tried to stop the monthly subscription. Despite looking everywhere in the software, and following several Youtube videos on unsubscribing (which rang the alarm bells), I was unable to find a 'cancel subscription' button anywhere! I discovered other forums where people said they had the same problems. Chat GPT located a help desk email address, which I used to lodge my cancellation request, alas to no avail. In the end I was forced to contact my credit card provider and place a block on any future transactions!! Whilst not technically a scam, this is so dodgy, I think it should qualify as one. Utterly frustrating experience and a waste of a couple of hours of my life! Don't touch this product.

Don't waste your time with Capcut I created a project because they say it's free. Then I go to export and they say that's Pro feature. I sign up for the 7 day trial as I intend to start creating a lot of videos and thought I'd give it a go. I did a simple auto caption picking text with a soft outline. The export didn't have the outline, just plain text.

I went down the google rabbit hole since the Capcut website doesn't seem to have a search feature. I tried all the fixes for over an hour and gave up. If the product can't do a simple export I an only imagine what it would be like spending time creating complex projects only to have it not export propertly.

I cancelled the renew after one week with a couple hours of giving it a go. Don't waste your time.
