Product and monitoring great. Phone support, Tania, amazing professionalism. Thank you.
Very pleased with device and service – My wife and I decided to purchase a care alert personal alert unit after listening to our childrens advice. At first we didnt think it was necessary but now that we have it and see just how good these are, we feel so much safer at home. We have been delighted by the simplicity and effectiveness of the care alert and their customer service has been brilliant. A special thanks to Mandi who was wonderful.
Purchased in for $379.
Sorry for this very overdue reply John and Annie, but thank you nonetheless for your lovely comments. We do our best to not only supply a world-class product, but we also pride ourselves on the highest standard of customer service. We will be sure to bring to Mandi's attention your positive comments. Thank you again.
Fantastic product, very pleased – We procrastinated for a while as to what personal alarm to buy our mum. Finally we purchased the CareAlert because of their reputation. It has worked perfectly from day one. In fact within a month of having it, it helped mum out who fell over outside, while watering her garden. Help arrived very quickly. Not only does she feel much safer but all her family now have peace of mind. A great product from our point of view.
Hi Gordon, Thanks for your positive review. Could you please let us know how long you have owned your CareAlert and what model it is please. Perhaps you could call us on 1300 75 85 95 to discuss rather than post another review. Thanks
Hi. We bought the care alert back in august on eBay. It is a ca-0417 model. Works well. We do have one question. How long should the battery in the pendent last for? thanks
Hi Gordon, thanks for your reply. We don't recommend purchasing second hand CareAlert units from eBay or Gumtree simply because they may have been damaged and therefore are not working as they should. In this case it looks like yours is working fine, which is good. The pendant battery should be changed every 2 years although they can last longer. That particular model depending on what software has been installed, may well have the inbuilt warning voice in the base station that will let you know that the pendant battery should be changed, when you press the yellow button. We actually recommend pressing the yellow button at least once every few days to ensure that the pendant is talking to the base station. Thanks again for your review and if we can be of any more help, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Wont work Model CA-0417 – It seems to only work on 3G or a fixed phone line, it doesn't appear to work on the 4G or 5G phone network. There is no on/off button to turn it off, you have to take out the battery pack to turn it off. Once it starts dialing you cannot stop it, if it doesn't pick up the sim card it wont dial the programmed numbers, it will only dial through to 000. I have tried a new sim card but it just wont recognise it even directly facing the tower across the road. I am not happy with the product at all.
Hi Montana, Thank you for your review. We would like to point out that almost 100% of all personal alert systems run on the 3G network. Only recently have we and some other brands started to convert to using the 4G platform. However please be assured that 3G will still be available for a number of years yet. In fact Telstra have said at least until 2024. Optus and Vodafone 3G will be available for longer, perhaps even till 2025+ Our system passes AS4607 Australian Standards and one of those standards states that once the alarm has started dialling out for help, that it must not be able to be cancelled. This is why our unit gives you a 10 second alarm before dialling which allows you plenty of time to cancel the alarm by either pressing the yellow button on your pendant or the large red button on the dialler. One of the most amazing features of our system over and above any other brand is that if you do lose your Optus or Telstra sim signal or if you have allowed your own managed sim card to have no credit left, then it has the ability to use an emergency inbuilt circuitry that will dial 000. This has been on many occasions a life saving feature that is unique to CareAlert. We apologise for this late reply but we have only recently found out about these reviews and so are now responding. We can only assume that you now have your CareAlert fully operational or that some other resolution has occurred. If you still need any clarification, please call 1300 75 85 95 at any time. Thank you
No it is not resolved as there are no 3G towers in our area for the unit to connect to so the only mumber it will dial out to is 000. The only towers in our area are 4G / 5G.
Thanks for the quick reply. That is very strange indeed but we are committed to helping you with this matter. Feel free to email barry@carealert.com.au and advise of the issue so that he can work out a solution.

Thanks Kerri-anne, we appreciate you taking the time to post this endorsement of both product and monitoring. It was also a nice touch to read how Tania took care of everything in a professional manner. We will ensure she is told about your lovely comment. She will be greatly "chuffed," I am sure. Thankyou again.
