Scam and misleading off shore
Booked a refundable booking and thankfully used PayPal. They are an off shore company and all transactions are accompanied with extensive additional international bank transfer fees that are not covered by PayPal. Finally got my booking cancelled and a portion of the money back from PayPal, but not all of it and not all the bank fees.
DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER USING.
Booked through Carflexi this morning as they were one of the first to show up on Google when I searched car hire. Should have known when the website had an extremely simple layout that something wasn't right. Somehow the car hire jumped $100 when I went through to the final payment stage and they took an odd deposit amount of $107.... they also offered unlimited kms on cars in Darwin NT which no legit car hire company does. Should have been another warning sign. I cancelled my booking immediately and was told in an automated email that the mone...y has been refunded and to wait A MONTH to contact them if it hasn't!?!?! I called my bank once I received that email and luckily they're able to look after me and reverse the transaction, also had my bank card blocked and a new one sent out just incase these people attempted to take more.
This website is a scam. Price went from $560 to $4200 as soon as you try to book.They are also linked to multiple sites. Do not waste your time or money
Upset, disappointed and ANGRY
We hired a car from carflxi, paid deposit, arrived at Sydney airport, called the office to let them know that we've arrived, the answering machine telling us to wait to be connected to an authorised person, waited for one and a half hour, no shuttle bus came to pick us up, they cancelled our booking claiming we didn't show up, we didn't get our deposit refunded
Shocking, misleading and a scam
Do not hire through these people. They took a ‘deposit’ yet when I turned up for my car there was no acknowledgement of this deposit and I had to pay the full amount even though I had already paid $88 to this company.
No one will return my calls or respond to my email. The phone gets cut off all the time.

I booked a car (admittedly at short notice) through CarFlexi. They were happy to accept my booking (and my money). Arrived at my destination airport and still did not have a confirmation, so rang the hire company direct to find that they had no cars available. I finished up having to go to one of the ‘big 4’ and paying twice what I had been offered. Thankfully paid by PayPal so my money was safe.
Would never go anywhere near their website again.
Hidden additional fee to be paid at the airport
I booked a car with Carflexi online nand paid required fee. At the airport, when picking up the car, it turned out that additional fee was required. The second fee was not mentioned before I made the booking. I used another rental company but never received back the initial payment. Looks like a scam to me...
Fraud in Mexico rental
I was led to believe that the price would include all insurance, when I got to Budget they asked for an extra 35$ a day (more then the cost of the rent) for insurance, when I told them all insurance was paid they just kept with the same.
I ended wasting half a day of my trip to get another car and paying more.
When I asked for a refund for what they charged me they refuse.
Will press charges.
Do not rent from them!!
A Stressful Terrible Experience
We booked a vehicle for 8am Monday morning, late on Sunday afternoon. My partner's car had broken down and he needed a vehicle for his work week. I took a screen shot of where it said "Your booking is completed" and we thought we would receive an email about where to pick the car up, early the next morning.
We got an email saying that a confirmation would come in the next 12 hours and as that was going to be in the middle of the night, we had to look in the morning. No confirmation email came.
We could see by the email that it was Avis, so we turned up at Avis at 8am, only to find that it was only a request and so had to take a car over $200 dearer. Not only that, Car Flexi withdrew $117.60 and so far haven't returned it.
I did a booking with CarFlexi. On the voucher, it is clearly stipulated that the payment must be done at the desk of Alamo. However, they also took the same amount from my credit card. When I ask for the reimbursement, they decline and said that I didn't had to pay at the desk of Alamo. Stay away from them, worst experience ever!
Very deceptive you pay them thinking it is booking site
Very deceptive you pay them thinking it is a booking site, but then you find out full insurance DOSEN’T mean a thing to the hiring company who tells you you still up for $1000 up front deposit and $4000 if stolen or accident/damage and try to get it back from Car Flexi, good luck. Scam, max insurance was not an option but included on final paperwork. Avoid and deal direct with hire company.

This is the worst service I ever had.
I have booked a car and not able to pick up if there stupid policy that a P- Plater is not able to hire a car. They haven’t even mentioned on the time of booking. And when asked for a refund they said they can’t refund and hang up the phone. What a crap service.
Disgusting. I selected the no insurance option, but somehow ended up being charged for insurance anyway. Be aware at the checkout, because the amount you are about to be charged is not displayed. Only after the payment had gone through did I say I had been charged $50 more than the quoted price. My experience seems similar to the other reviews I have now read. When calling the car rental company directly, they had no visibility of what I had already been charged. I will be talking this one up to experience, but I would highly recommend everyone avoid this company.
The booking ended up being more than 30% more than the quoted price - I will certainly never use this company again, has left me with a bad taste in my mouth and I feel scammed.

I saw a total fee of just over $100 And decided to book as it was lower than other companies. I decided to go against insurance as is was almost 50% of the price. they charged me $46.80. I figured I would owe the rest at the desk, but at the desk they said I owed $101. They also asked me if I wanted insurance, I said no as again it was like 50% of the price. I told them I had already paid $46.80 and they were confused and told me to contact car flexi when I got home from my trip, it was obviously a mistake. I spent the whole weekend very anxiou...s knowing I hadn’t selected the insurance option. I email car flexi when I get back, don’t hear back for a week, called them today, and they told me that I paid $46.80 for INSURANCE. They are refusing to pay me back

Avoid this company like the plague ..
I made a last minute booking via car Flexi as my husband was flying in unexpectedly and needed a car.
I made sure not to opt for any extra or insurance cover as we were just looking for the cheapest deal, at the end of the booking they asked for a down payment on the car of $180 AUS which I payed thinking it was deducted from the total cost.... it wasn’t..
With in 8hrs the flight was cancelled and we no longer needed the car.. I tried to cancel on line but couldn’t find the option to cancel as it wasn’t ...
They show you something and after you pay then they show you that you have to pay in the rental car counter. It just a scam.
You can get a better deal directly with the rental car companies.

Would give 0 if possible. Booked in July 19 for a car in NZ over Christmas. Got voucher for Lucky car hire, got to Lucky only to be told to go to 247.
247 stated Lucky had asked them to provide a car for us as they mismanaged their fleet and had no car for us.
247 did not honour the fact that we had a 100% comprehensive insurance cover and would not release a car to us unless we paid additional fee for their insurance. If we didn't pay then they said any accident, whether we were to blame or not would incur a $2000 exc...

Staff at Enterprise in San Jose airport very attentive and informative. The representative himself even bought out a replacement vehicle when ours had a problem. He personally could not have been more helpful.

Cars are advertised at from 11.2/day but when you access the 'deal' there is nothing at 11.2/Day. Have others been mislead??

I hired a car in Brisbane. Unfortunately discovered a dent in the boot after having it parked in shopping.
centre car park. Took 'Full Cover' Have all the info, required. Where to post it? Is the address really in Greece? Bargain Reatal Cars took $ 500.00 from our credit card on booking. Have taken the liberty of taking another $450.00 for the damage plus for ther damage not known to us or discussed. can funds be removed without discussion? Colleen C.
