Must have lovely bowls, numerous uses – I recently bought 2 18cm size casa domani Magnolia bowls for the ridiculously cheap price of $3.97each.I was so happy when I received my well packed order today, 3 days after I placed the online order. This brand is excellent quality porcelain and the designs are beautiful.

Simply Rubbish – DO NOT waste you hard earned dollars on this brand! My wife & I bought 2x Copala sets as a housewarming gift for ourselves when we first moved in together last July (2019)... Not one piece is without a chip or crack... We're not rough on them... Our other ceramic items show no sign of wear at all but if you look sideways at the Copala dinnerset it get some form of damage... Simply rubbish!

Lead in crockery glaze a health hazard – My Casa Domani Macchiato dinner set lost its colour and became chalky within a couple of years. They didn't clean well in the dishwasher and I was gradually throwing them out. The reviews in Maxwell & Williams "deglazed" and "health hazard" about the sore throats and lips were concerning and this is from the governments environmental safety website:- http://www.environment.gov.au/protection/chemicals-management/lead/lead-in-ceramic-crockery-pottery-making "Corroded glaze, or a dusty or chalky grey residue on the glaze after a piece has been washed. Tableware in this condition may represent a serious lead hazard stop using it at once." So I have and now am considering Corelle dinner sets made with vitrelle, a triple layer of bonded glass. It looks like this is lead free, however the mugs in the sets are stoneware made in China, not the USA like the plates and bowls which are vitrelle. Also all white dinner sets are more likely to be lead free so I am trying to research them as well. Had no idea! How can lead free paint and petrol be mandatory and yet not our plates?

No Good! – I have a whole set of Casa Domani crockery and underneath each piece is marked 'Microvave safe'. One day unsuspectingly after putting my cup of coffee in the microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds I grabbed the cup by the handle and scalded my fingers causing me to let go of the cup and dropped the hot coffee down my leg scalding my leg. After losing 2 days work and pay I tried putting another one of their cups in the microwave for 30 seconds on high without any liquid. Lo and behold, the cup exploded in the oven! I tried some other Japanese make of cup also marked 'microwave safe'. It barely got warm. Now I contacted Casa Domani complaining. They said it was a discontinued line and the guarantee was no longer valid. Well as far as I know legally while that mark, 'Microwave safe' is on the crockery the guarantee is permanent and they are legally obligated to compensate me for my loss of earnings and pain and suffering. My advice. Don't buy any of their products!

Liars.. not microwave safe!
