Good – very tough watch, will last forever and very well priced. Comes with so many handy extras like its water proof and the hands are easy to read. Very happy i have also never had to replace the battery. great value watch, very strong, water resistant and easy to read. Citizen has been around for a long time and is a reputable brand. Sold at many jeweller stores. Have a huge range of mens and womens watches in silver and gold. Designs arent as feminine as other brands of watches on the market, the prices have risen a bit in the last few years
Bad – I bought mine two and a half years ago. In that time the battery and depth function have failed twice requiring services from Citizen. This is supposed to be an underwater instrument for timing your dive (for prevention of the bends) and at least a backup instrument for depth during the dive. In both, mine has failed dismally. Repairs can only be done by Citizen (of course!) and are costly.
I was given an original Aqualand dive watch as a 21st birthday present nearly 18 years ago. The only reason I bought this heap of crap was because Citizen Australia claimed that the seals were no longer available for the original Aqualand - only to find the same model same model for sale by Citizen today! Bastards. This was a huge waste of time and expense - I won't be doing that again.
I see that the internet also has fake copies of these for sale - I bet they actually work.
Do yourself a favour - invest in a mechanical dive watch from Tag or Omega, you will have a reliable timepiece and dive watch, and something to hand down to your kids. These are very poor. Great looks with two-tone, solar cell (no batteries required) and battery indicator, depth function, one-way bezel, auto dive function start on entry into water and auto sensor start once you pass the 1m mark in depth. Auto timer function on passing the 1m mark in depth, bright orange depth marker for better vis at depth. Wetsuit adjustment in bracelet. A little heavy to have on all day, fairly clustered, stainless steel very easy to scratch. Depth fuction not reliable or very accurate. Strange things happen electronically when battery reaches a very low charge. Nothing like the performance or reliability of the original Citizen Aqualand. Very expensive in Australia (cheaper to have mail-ordered from the US c/w international warranty by more than half).
