ClockOn payroll always pay employee wages late, there is always a problem. Shouldn’t have to chase up wages every pay week. Unacceptable, they are incompetent.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING DO NOT EVER USE THERE ARE MORE REPUTABLE COMPANIES WITH BETTER PAYROLL OPPORTUNITIES. I started with them and was given specific information which I followed to the letter. They continued to take my money for months after cancelling, I got a couple of months back but not everything owed. I then found they would not abide by the specific information they gave me. DO NOT EVER USE THEM!!

There are better genuinely free STP options out there for small business. Don't use ClockOn! I Signed up for free however they neglected to let me know that after 12 months (not 12 ATO STP submissions) you will have to pay the monthly fee. but to pay. However BEWARE the fact that they will charge you a whole 12 months minimum subscription charge which is way more than the advertised monthly fee. If you want to cancel (which I did after I found a better free package) then they insist on having 1 months notice but don't send out payment reminder/invoice until there is only 2 weeks subscription left. I sent them several emails to cancel and ask that they not take the direct debit payment and made phone calls (they always go to voicemail) and no one contacted me until 3 weeks had passed and they then told me I didn't give them 1 months notice so I had to pay the 12 months subscription.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! LACK of Response to emails and phone calls. DON'T USE THEM!

Beware. They continue to deduct fees once services cancelled – I signed up for their as advertised free service. Not declared at the time was that it reverts to an automatic subscription service after 12 months. In my case, I had to subscribe in order to finalise EOY payroll. emailing their accounts, ringing them and using the online request for to cancel. Nothing has yet stopped them from deducting their fee.

The free version was fine for my needs, just clunky and not intuitive. However, not being responsive to the cancellation of my service is very unprofessional.

beware of dodgy software – beware of this software. It offers free but it is a trial version. It offers $2.10 per employer per month but a minimum of $126 a year. I used it for a while and then found I could not use it anymore without knowing it was a trial version. The information on their web is very dodgy. I believe it is not legal to post misleading information on the business web to lure customers.

beware of sales promises – features of the product were exaggerated and do not work as promised - templates were promised to help with generating rosters, unfortunately the information saved in the templates cannot be recalled or used in creating rosters, when challenged about this they simply agreed that the feature does not work. voicemail and no one returns my calls. We have paid for implementation and a subscription fee and even after requesting cancellation of the service no one has bothered to confirm or contact me to discuss it.

Easy to use, free, and it does the job – I just subscribed to ClockOn for our small business (2 employees) STP payroll submission to ATO. It is free, not too difficult to use and did the job! What a breeze after year of coping with Free Accounting Software that is not free anymore. Show reply
