Members for 26 years plus. Ramada is a great location, right opposite the beach, next door to lots of food opportunities, close to Marina at Nelson Bay, great amenities with indoor and outdoor pool, great walking opportunities, staff very helpful and friendly. • The chef lacks cooking skills — the food was consistently horrible. Trays of untouched food were left outside rooms, a clear sign that guests were dissatisfied. • The General Manager showed no care or urgency. It took him two days to meet me after I requested to speak with him. • Management overall is unresponsive and unprofessional. This resort has potential, but it is being run by the wrong people.

To make matters worse: • My husband suffered food poisoning from the resort meals. • We booked the elephant tour through the tour desk — a complete disaster. We lost money, my husband got sick, and we had no privacy.

Zenmaya may be a beautiful property, but poor leadership, bad food, and lack of care made this a nightmare. I would never recommend Zenmaya to anyone — not even to my worst enemy.

My last 2 experiences at Manly Resort, February and September have been exceptional regarding the Staff. Also in July at Kirra Beach. These 3 young ladies expressed kindness, availability in a very generous way, accommodating themselves and going out of their way to make my stay unforgettable....thank you so very much to each one of them. Lovely quiet location in Coffs Harbour. The staff and facilities are very good. Even though it rained during our stay, the room felt cozy, and we took the opportunity to play board games at night - Mantis and Uno - it was fun! The location made it easy to escape the noise of the highway, listen to the birds and hear the ocean in the background; yet it was close enough to shops and local beaches. staff at the counters made us feel very uncomfortable. We are Thai and Mexican, and we noticed that some of the same staff appeared much warmer and friendlier with Australian and New Zealand guests. We cannot say why, but the difference in tone, facial expressions and attitude toward us was noticeable. We have travelled to many countries, and we have never felt such a noticeable difference in the way we were treated compared with other guests. What made it even more disappointing was that we did not experience this anywhere else in Fiji. People we met at restaurants, during activities and with our diving instructors were warm and welcoming. Our room also had problems from the first day. We did not get into the room until almost 5pm, and there was still rubbish from the previous guests in the bathroom. That night we noticed that the sheets, pillowcases and blanket had an unpleasant smell. We were out diving the next day and returned late, so we asked for the bedding to be changed. The staff member who came to change it was visibly sweating while handling the fresh bedding, and a strong body odour was left in the room afterwards. For us, this was also a hygiene concern. At check out, we were told that perhaps we had misunderstood because rooms are not cleaned every day. We already knew this from the hotel information. Our complaint was never about daily housekeeping. The problem was that the room was not properly cleaned before it was given to us. We also requested late check out and were told we could stay until 1pm. However, before 12pm someone from housekeeping was already knocking on our door. We also had a frustrating experience with the membership presentation. While staying at Wyndham Garden Wailoaloa Beach, we were invited to Club Wyndham Denarau Island even after explaining that we were already Club Wyndham Asia members. We were told it would explain the differences, so we agreed to attend. A car was supposed to collect us, with the driver contacting us via WhatsApp in advance. At around 9am the driver suddenly called our room and asked us to come down within five minutes. We asked for ten minutes, but the driver would not wait, so we paid for a taxi ourselves because we did not want to miss the appointment. When we arrived, we were repeatedly asked whether we were Australian or New Zealanders, whether we lived there, when we last entered Australia and how many times we had visited. Another staff member then came over and asked similar questions again. If nationality, residency or Australian travel history was important for the presentation, this should have been checked before inviting us. We would have had no problem being told that the presentation was not relevant to us. Instead, we spent our holiday time and money getting there, felt uncomfortable with the repeated questioning, and eventually did not attend the presentation. Upon checking out, we wanted to use our Travel Wallet balance to settle our bill, and we were told this was not possible. We explained that we had attended several online sessions to learn about various topics including Travel Wallet usage which required us to spend several hours of our time, time which turned out to be wasted as we could not use the Travel Wallet at all. We requested an email from the Assistant General Manager to confirm they were unable to process payments from our travel wallet; we would be glad to share said email with you. This does not apply to every staff member, as some were wonderful. But for our first stay using our Club Wyndham Asia membership, the room condition, hygiene issues, inconsistent service and membership experience were very disappointing. Considering what we paid for the membership, we honestly expected much better. During the presentation and stay that eventually made us become members, we were treated very well, and we were told the membership program was best in class. Unfortunately, every single step from making a booking to staying at one of the listed properties has been far from smooth, personalized and with the same level of attention and service while we were being courted into becoming members; we deem this unacceptable and shall it continue in the same manner we will have to make changes to our future holidaying. We expect noticeable improvements going forward.

As Owners. we had a 7-night stay at Seven Mile Berach. The resort is good, although the room cleanliness could improve. The onsite Beaches Restaurant has slowly degraded in both food quality and service over the past 4 years. potato on top. If you go for dinner, make sure to wear a coat as they are skimping on wood for the fire. On a Friday night dinner, we were told that they could not put the last two logs on the fire, as they were needed for the next day. The Owners Update session is the same old spiel, with no new information, no opportunity to ask questions, and followed by the same high-pressure Sales, where you are offered a "special" deal, and then the Sales Manager comes over to entice you with an even better "special" deal. Unfortunately, none of the deals and special or enticing. Also, watch your time, as the presentation will run over and if you do show any interest in the "special" deal, expect that your day will be consumed by the Sales staff harassing you.

The location of the Leisure Inn at Pokholbin is great - nice and close to what the Hunter Valley has to offer. You are only a short distance from the Hunter Valley Wildlife Park, Hunter Valley Gardens, the highway to Newcastle etc. However, the resort pool was a no-go because it was not properly maintained for humans. Phenomenal stay at Club Wyndham! To say we were impressed would be an understatement! Finally a hotel where you feel welcomed, looked after truly as a guest, nothing was ever too much to ask, I would recommend Club Wyndham to family and friends and anyone who’s looking for a relaxed, enjoyable, friendly hotel to stay! 10/10!! Show 3 replies
