We also had a previous terrible experience with them and a bus and driver that they provided for one of our tours and we got nothing but complaints. The bus was grotty, the driver swerving as he was struggling to stay awake. Keep away from this company, they are dodgy and will take your money.

On the return trip, despite no damages, the driver initially refused to give the money back and only did so after being pushed.

I tried to follow this up directly with the company but received no real support—only generic responses.

Very unprofessional and unethical behaviour. Be very careful dealing with these cowboys.

I would never recommend this coach hire (coachhire.com or thecoachcompany.com)to anyone. I organized for a coach to pick an elderly group for a trip to Melbourne. The coach arrived 40 minutes late which caused the group to be late for a river cruise in Melbourne. We were lucky the cruise waited for us but the cruise was cut short. claiming there was a fault with the bus. No such email was ever received. Later to discover that the email had, in fact, been sent to themselves – their Managing Director, Geoff, not to the centre.

The result? 31 children in their hi-vis vests left waiting, excited but ultimately heartbroken.

Instead of accountability or an apology, they were met with a dismissive attitude: “Too bad, so sad.” This response is not only unprofessional but completely out of line with the values Buses R Us claim to promote on their own website.

The behaviour encountered from management was rude, arrogant, and unacceptable. Their terrible customer service left no faith in their ability to deliver what they promise.

I strongly advise others: do not risk trusting this company with your event, or your children.

Do not use this company for anything important, especially if you wish to get there on time. The bus I booked arrived 55 minutes late, I had to send my guests off in Ubers to get to where they needed to go. I had asked for compensation for my guests out of pocket and they offered me $44.00 RUDE, incompetent, and again another scam company

Don’t use this company. They’ll take your money and not produce what you paid for. You’ll ask for compensation and after they do their “investigation” they’ll tell you nothing was wrong.. they’ll also admit in writing that the driver left 30 mins early but they don’t see a problem with it. Save your time, stress and money. Use someone else.

with disputes over the phone (told up we are post the 30-day terms and conditions) and to email, no response to email. We made contact post the 30 days due to 7 deaths in the family and my daughter was in a car accident.

commitment afterwards. We were also given a complimentary bottle of water as a gesture to accept the change. I accepted and told our group to meet at mine earlier instead.

The journey to the venue was fine, as we had the entire 2-seat bus to ourselves (7 people), and were happy with the upgrade. It wasn't until we arrived at the destination that we realised we had been moved earlier so that the bus driver could complete another job, rather than it being a personal commitment. He told us that in the evening, he would be collecting the other group from the venue at 10:30pm and dropping them first, as they were close by, and for our group to meet at 11pm for our scheduled time. Unfortunately, the driver didn't take this group earlier, and when we arrived at the bus at 11pm, the additional group were also there waiting. The driver didn't tell this group that he had double booked and so these people were quite aggressive about us being on what they perceived to be their bus. During the journey home they repeatedly told us "you should have booked your own bus!" and how fortunate we were that they let us on their bus. We felt really intimidated and they didn't understand that we had also booked the bus, and as they were all quite intoxicated, it wasn't worth our time trying to explain this to them.

The driver then proceeded to drop these people off at their individual residences throughout Strathalbyn! Our booking was from an Adelaide address to an Adelaide address. If I had realised that we would be adding an extra 1.5 hours to our journey and sharing, I never would have proceeded with the booking and would have just booked tickets to the standard bus for the festival or with another company. Not only did we feel unsafe, we arrived home well after when we were supposed to, all very tired and angry at that point.

All of these things were out of our control, and again, if I had known that our booking wasn't for a private bus and we would be sharing, I would not have booked or expected the price to be discounted further, rather than just giving us a bottle of water.

Please for future bookings, outline that this is a possibility, so that both parties are aware and one group isn't left feeling unsafe due to the lack of communication.

I contacted the Coach company on multiple occasions (November 11, November 20, and December 16). I was told it was being raised with their manager and have heard nothing and now the company just doesn't even reply.

Extremely disappointing customer service all round! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!

I'd definitely recommend them – I arranged a coach trip for my club's senior members and I must say, the service provided was commendable. Kyle ensured a smooth booking process, and the driver was excellent, providing a safe and comfortable journey that everyone appreciated. The value for money was good, making the experience overall very positive. I'd definitely recommend them to others looking for reliable coach travel.

They then proceeded to take my initial deposit and now try and collect a further 25% of the original amount even though I cancelled months in advanced due to their lack of transparency in the costings (which they said I have to agree to before giving me the cost breakdown).

Avoid this company if you’re looking for fair pricing and honest service.

in Australia, a country with high customer service standards and road safety laws? -For the trip booked from Adelaide to Mt Gambier, our booking request and agreement was that a 33-49 Seats Standard Coach must be provided. However, we were provided with only a 28-seat bus for 30 people confirmed for booking. The bus driver who spoke no English at all! The condition of the bus was very extremely poor and worlds away from the business travel we requested and paid for. There were no functioning air vent outlets, and many seats were missing the headrests. miss a coach turning up! The coach definitely did not turn up, and even if they did, they’re supposed to wait 45 minutes so how could the driver possibly have done that and been back 25 minutes after the pick up time? I requested a refund and they ignored all my contact attempts - it’s been months. Now I have to take it up with fair trading. The coaches were more than $700 and all my guests had to pay for their own taxis. They were also just generally really hard to deal with through the whole booking process Absolutely would not use again or ever recommend anyone to use. Please spread the word, don’t use this company, they steal money from their customers.

Disgusting service!! – This company is unorganised, unprofessional and down right rude! next email I get is they have found a replacement vehicle and driver but it will be an extra $96.00 bringing my new total to $800.00 Stupidly I agreed to this... Then our plans had changed still in a months advance of the booking date, I needed to change the date to a later date which was months away and the duration of the bus hire to only 3.5hrs.

So on 27/12/2023 I called to make these changes and they were happy to do that, but when they resent the booking confirmation with the updates they still wanted to charge me the $800.00 even though I had literally halved the booking time, so I called again to find out why the price had not changed and they gave me all these excuses as to why it can not be changed so I told them to cancel my booking and they then advised that would cost me $200.00 as that is 25% of the $800.00 total and the attitude I got from the person on the phone was absolutely appalling. After multiple calls they submitted a new price request and it then came to $600.00 which I was still not overly happy with that as while they were in the process of revising my price I found a competitor that would do it for less than half that price. So I called again and advised them that I was still not happy with this pricing and I have found cheaper competitors and the guy on the phone said in a nasty tone "they've given you a $200 discount they didn't have to do that" like they were doing me some favour. At that point I asked them to cancel my booking, I'd had enough and lost my $176.00 deposit I paid to this scummy company, the funny part is the bus and driver I have hired now through another company is still costing me less than the $600.00 even with thecoachcompany.co.uk taking my $176.00. Technically based on their 25% cancellation fee based on the new total of $600.00 I should have received $26.00 back, but they've changed the paperwork to make my booking $640 so I received nothing back. But I'm not chasing $26.00 it's not worth the effort but I would never use this company again and will advise anyone against it. I wish I had done more research and seen these other reviews before using them.

A 10 minute part bus trip for $470 – We had a 24 person part bus booked for a relatively short trip. We agreed that the driver would make it a 20 min trip as it was a party bus and not a direct route bus. Anyway he went direct and took 10 minutes according to Life360. They listened to only 2 songs. WORST SERVICE EVER – After we paid our deposit, we were told that they are unable to secure a driver unless we paid $185 extra. As soon as I put up a fight and refused to pay, they suddenly had a solution and waivered the additional fee. They are the uber of buses so all you get is the drivers name and number. When I threatened to cancel, he quickly agreed to call me back with the exact point of pick-up. Passengers complained and said the driver was not accommodating at all. own drivers and the company was a 3rd party business, if we would have known that we would have never gone with this choice and maybe they should let their customers know about it. We required a total of 4 transfers across 4 days and starting with transfer from the airport to the hotel. All the details were given from the beginning but 3 days before the first transfers we have been told we needed to pay an additional $500 if we wanted all transfers to go smoothly (whilst all transfers were confirmed at least 3 weeks in advance!). At this day, I still don't know why we had to pay any additional charge as we ended up having 1 driver only doing transfer from the airport to the hotel. To make it even better, he was 15 minutes late for the first pick up, which ended up pushing all the other transfers by the same amount of time. The hardest part was also trying to communicate with the drivers, none of them spoke English and made it really difficult to deal with. On the 2nd day we required transfers for 165 people and again, we communicated that information but it turned out that the information never made it to do bus depot and the transfer of 150 guests was booked. A few days later we have again, been hit by another additional $500 for our transfers from the hotel to the airport this time. Again only a few days before and made us in a position where we could not refuse. I have tried many times to contact the "Manager" Craig but he was always in a "meeting" and never took the time or effort to call back. Knowing that a customer is having so many issues, I would think that the role of the person in charge is to try and understand what is happening instead of just avoiding it and not giving a crap about it. In addition, we were never talking to the same person which made it hard as some staff members simply didn't follow the information that were given to them and made it sound like we were making changes whilst in reality it was a staff error, who by the way was really rude on the phone.

Overall, this was a really disappointing experience and I would not recommend your service to anyone.

without tools like Google Translate. The second problem was rash driving. Not sure why the driver was rushing in spite of the fact that some of us experienced back aches, motion sickness etc. but the driver may not have understood our message. The third problem was that the bus did not have proper facilities like a good PA system (which worked but was not fully functional), air vent outlets that weren't functioning, and seats without headrests and so on to name a few.

The driver refused to use the Citylink road and exceeded the timeframe and then did a dodgy buy asking to pay him in cash for the extra time spent on the road. When we asked for an invoice, he refused by saying "this payment is not for coach hire but for my boss".

While we selected coach hire as a result of the amazing reviews, unfortunately, we had a totally different experience.

Horrible horrible horrible company – Horrible horrible horrible experience! A bus didn’t arrive, the driver went down the wrong side of road, hit a tree, dropped guests off on highway, refused to go to houses which we agreed upon when booking. Had to fight for our refund.
