After purchasing fuel from Coles Express Moorabbin, I entered the store and received no greeting. He didn’t even look up from his phone. I asked the console operator where a specific item was. He pointed without making eye contact. I again said, I can’t find it. He then pointed in another direction. I again said, I can’t see any and just headed to the counter.
I paid for pump 1 and the only time he looked up was when I said, I’m going to take your photo and make a complaint about how rude you were.
His name was [name removed] and he’s bad for business. A lot of people would love a job working for Coles Express.
Unhygienic toilet facilities
Travelling to Brisbane on 17 Jan 2021, we stopped to purchase fuel and to use the toilet facilities at Coles Express Chapel Hill. The whole toilet area (floor, basin, walls, toilet) was filthy. The floor looked like it had not been mopped in months. The bin was absolutely filthy, as were the taps on the hand basin and the toilet lid. The walls and toilet paper holder were also smeared and very dirty. There is no excuse for this, as even older facilities can be kept clean and hygienic. Ironically, there was a sign saying "Thank you for keeping...the toilet and bathroom area clean. This will ensure all customers experience the same conditions. If you do find these facilities unsatisfactory, please advise the team member inside the store". I advised the store cashier and she agreed immediately that the toilet was "really bad". I also reported it to the Coles Express complaints/feedback site and received back a reply from an unnamed person saying "Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand your concern and we're sorry for any disappointment. We will forward your feedback to our Property Team who will consider the addition of a rest room when the site is reviewed for renewal." At a time when other businesses are going above and beyond with cleaning and sanitation for the comfort and safety of their paying customers because of the health risk of Covid , I am disgusted by this response. Shame on you Coles!
Fuel up at the independents and save up to 54 cents per litre on E10
Woolworths fuel and Coles Express are matching each other on prices, Anzac Parade and Gardeners rd at $1.53.9 per litre for E10. Meanwhile independents nearby are at between 99.9 and 107.9 per litre. How is it possible that Woolworths and Coles fuel outlets still have a business? For me, I save almost $50 a tank by NOT using Coles or Woolworths fuels. I fueled up and paid the 99.9 cents per litre.
I fuelled up at Coles Express Halfway Creek today at 2:10pm, the customer service was excellent, the ladies were polite and very helpful, it was a pleasure to stop at this service centre, shop was organised and nice and clean
scratches post car wash
Don't waste your time and money on a substandard carwash. Scratched paintwork and only cleaned half of the car. Disappointed with the response I received from the manager who had taken no responsibility for the damage . Coles express shame on you !
Pay Attention to the price!
I was almost out of fuel so I stopped at Coles Express Cnr Murphy and Ellison Rd in Brisbane and was astounded to see 147.9c/L. I had to buy the fuel or be stranded. After paying and leaving I spotted the Puma a block away with 108.7c/L.
Seriously Coles, this is ridiculous. Your reputation is being tarnished more than you can possibly ever repair.
Beware of Coles Express Blue Pump which is not all Unleaded 95
I have noticed:
191 High St (Cnr Johnston St)Ashburton VIC 3147
185 Riversdale Rd (Cnr Hunter St) Hawthorn East VIC 3122
368 Boundary Road (Cnr Plane Tree Ave) Dingley VIC 3172
Their Blue Pump are Unleaded 91.
Is this intentionally? Only Coles Group can explain.
The almost 40 cent rise on the first day of holidays for petrol is a disgrace and will affect my shopping loyalty to Coles Supermarkets. Your marketing ""experts"" are embarassing. Peter
Coles express Waitara
Very poor service!!! Walked up there this morning as this place is very convenient for us... bought some essentials for breakfast.. and a bag, I placed one bottle of milk in it and the handle tore away ( clearly a faulty bag) when asked for another bag was told nothing he could do.... seriously... nothing at all? Our family spend around $300 a week in here fuel for two cars milk smokes and any convenience bits and pieces.... last dollar I spend in this store... not my first bad experience with this store (will be the last) like I said it’s convenient but not that much more than the Caltex or BP just down the road!!! Good riddance Coles express! Hope the 0.15c was worth the customer?
False advertising of fuel price
Put $20 onto car since sign said 112.00 unleaded luring me in.
Until I noticed on petrol tank price said 129.00. I brought it to the attention of person behind counter she said that 112.00 price is only for petrol tank 3,4,5. You did not no this until paying for your petrol because there were no signs stating go to those petrol tanks to get cheaper petrol total rip off. Thinking I'm getting cheap fuel but NO I will no longer be refueling at Coles Neva
The reviewer stated that an incentive was offered for this review
Coles express at Baulkham Hills why are you charging $1.40 for 95. Up to 30c more than any other station within 10 minutes.
Coles express Blacktown today is $1.23.
Explain why 15mins away your charging 17c less yet still more than others.
Coles you should be ashamed.

Just rip off.how can they justify the high price they charging.I just stop quickly after work to fill and didn't check the price .I was charged $172.9.It's even more that I used to pay before.Government should do something about it.
Went to one of the coles express stores, in Tamworth NSW, bridge st. This has to be the worst coustmer service ever. When staff, served a coustmer, they went to hide in the back, So I could not pump fuel, finally, after waiting 7 mins, (no one else was in stall) I was able to get fuel. The fuel flow was very slow, staff member did not apologise for the rude service. But wanted to know, if I wanted to buy a chocolate. I only put $45 in my car & went to the Caltex 2 blocks up, to continue to fill up my car & it was 10c a litre cheaper as well.
This is a awesome Shop I can't live without it

one min he was screaming, next min saying sorry and with in sec he goes like why i am even saying sorry to you, look at your face. next min he was crying. and he saying its not your fault.
Staff member must be in SOME THIN...
GREAT SERVICE AND SELECTION
Handy and always have specials and discounts
Couldn't ask for more service and friendliness
There are many reasons to visit
needs work on opening more self service checkouts but otherwise ok
Their prices for petrol are higher than anywhere else and if they dropped their prices a bit they would be more popular, but their fuel is clean unlike other companies such as United who tend to have sand in theirs and so have had issues with starting the cars after it settles so we only use Coles so our cars continue to run smoothly
Buy 2 at a reduced price
Ploy to get you to buy 2 of a product at a reduced price for the second item should be banned. They encourage you to buy more that you need for a financial incentive, even reminding you of the offer if you arrive at the register with only one of the items with this special offering. As an example, the Monster Energy drink is $4.40 for one can or if buy two it is $5.00, reduced then to $2.50 per can or 60 cents for the second can. Obesity and sugar intake in Australia is a major problem and a major cost to the economy and they don't seem to care...about this health epidemic, clearly focused on profits and turnover. The Government has been considering introducing a sugary drinks tax but i think they should stop the practice of offering financial incentives to get you to buy more that you actually need because in this example, f you then consume those 2 x 500ml Monster Energy drinks, you have swallowed a whopping 110 grams of sugar and the suggested daily intake in Australia is just 50 grams (for men). One drink alone would have sufficed and just exceeded the suggested daily intake. Might be a start towards fixing our obesity problem. They offer this predominately on drinks, confectionary and other less healthy products, and most of these items contain high amounts of sugar. Are they trying to fatten us up?
Express Carwash bigger Ripoff than you thought
I bought 2 x carwash at the Gardenvale Coles Express and used the first to wash the car.
During the wash I noticed that the brushes never operated and after coming out it was clear the grime was still there.
When I queried the attendant I was talooldd that only the most expensive of their washes use the brushes.
I then ask to speak to a manager and they gave me the Coles Express Customer Service line saying it was for his manager. The line is only open on weekdays and today is Satursday. Clearly the number was not for the attendants manage...r When I pointed out that a) the brochure clearly showed that brushes were involved in EVERY wash, and that my printed docket with the code clearly said BRUSH WASH, the attendant simply said again to call the number he gave me.
Petrol is always 30 cents dearer at the belmont south and belmont Coles petrol stations for E10 petrol and other petrol than any other Coles petrol stations in Newcastle why is this it has been like this for over a year
Questions & Answers
Are Cigerettes the same price at Coles Express and Coles Stores. And does Coles Express sell Cartons?
How do i give a review on one of coles emplyee
I don't think that's possible on here- perhaps email coles or check out their contact us section on the website?
You can describe the person and mention store and time but a bad review mentioning a name will have the name removed but will still keep your experience. Positive name dropping does not get name removed
