Best reloadable master card and beats the Woolies card that does not even work in Woolies !! – 1 Its free to load via bank accounts and no monthly fees 2 It works everywhere like a normal card including w/d restrictions 3 Have not found anywhere it does not work 4 Its looks like and is quality plastic compares to the rubbish Woolies Visa (RIP) 5 I get to watch the kids spending online hee hee ! 6 Sadly 30/6/18 as feared it is soon to be defunct and now they are degrading service such that it can't be trusted to work properly..
Love my Coles reloadable MasterCard – I don't know why there are so many negative reviews, my card cost me nothing due to a promotion at the time, to check my balance on line costs me nothing, I bank transfer to top it up costs me nothing, I earn flybuy points every time I use it so in a small way it earns me money every time I use it. I am disappointed they are discontinuing it and I will make sure my balance is at zero just before the card expires.
Other Financial Institutions not happy with Coles Reloadable Card – After buying Coles Reloadable Mastercard tried to add money to it from my Debit Card held with another Bank. Transaction was blocked by my Bank. My Bank is concerned that Coles Reloadable Cards are being used for fraud.
Rubbish Product: You can definitely Live without a Coles Reloadable MasterCard – O.K. I got sucked in!. Seemed like a good idea at the time and a way of increasing your Fly Buy points, which it does. [However, if you shopped at ALDI that'd be a much better alternative].... they don't tell you is there's a $300.00 Daily Limit and most ATM's ask for a $2.00 fee.
I rang to complain, because I needed to withdraw $1200.00 and was denied accessing my own Cash, which I'd been accumulating and that's when I found out that there's a $300.00 Daily Limit.
All. Nick. the Coles person I ended up talking to, could do was direct me to the PDS at the bottom of page Nine which indicated that there's a $300.00 daily limit. All I can say is, Who reads PDS's. Written by Accountants and Lawyers and almost impossible to read without a Magnifying Glass and a Legal Representative to tell you what they're actually saying.
I'm not going to Cancel my MasterCard because it's handy in other areas. But. I'll never depend on it to perform simple transactions such as this.
All things considered. Most people can live without this Coles Product..
People should read the terms and conditions before they complain, – Some of you should read what you are signing up for (The terms and conditions) it covers the $4 fee if you phone up. You can withdraw cash from a Westpac ATM without any trouble and there is no Bank charge for this using a Westpac ATM providing you have funds on your Coles Card account. details and your available balance, and you can lock your card from this section...there is NO FEE to lock or unlock your card.
I just transfer funds from my everyday bank account and this is done the same day or overnight depending on what time of day or night you do the transfer.
You can also link the card to your flybuys it saves having 2 cards.
Don't ever buy this card! – $4 fee for Customer Service Call Centre, $10 fee if you close your account, $5 fee when I tried to withdraw cash from ATM with no success, $10 fee to block the card. If you email them they take very long to reply. Stay away and your life will have less hassle!
Terrible!! – It was mentioned on the website that the card could be used to withdraw cash from ATMs in Australia. When I inserted the card into an ATM, it was swallowed by the machine. The customer service suggested me to order a replacement card to $5, I asked for account closure, which incurred $10 fee. Definitely stay away from this card!
Exorbitant charge to call centre – I was charged an exorbitant $4 by the Customer Service Call Centre for a simple answer telling me that I was not able to top up online using my credit card because they only accepted Debit Cards or Bank Accounts. For those who don't want to pay such fees, please stay away.
