Companion Proheat Portable 2 Burner Low Pressure Stove
Verified1 review
Companion Proheat 2 burner low pressure gas stove – I bought one of these early this year (2024) so we could use the gas bayonet on our camper and not have to carry an extra gas bottle for the stove. We used it for the first time about 2 months ago. So Pros, easy to light, has good heat so cooks well. Cons. Its bulky, the latches for holding the side panels and lid are absolute rubbish. You have to remove the trivet to use the latches. They are fiddly and hard to use. My 30 year old Companion camping stove has a much better design. Why they didn't continue to use a proven and effective design is beyond me. It also has lots of nooks and crannies perfectly designed to make it hard to clean. It has two burners the same size, however its hard to get a really low flame on them. It would be better with one big burner and one smaller burner. To sum up, pretty disappointed with it, but it appears that at the moment, its the only show in town.
