I'm loving my new cladding, looks great and I will never need to paint again. I can really notice the benefit from the insulation, I only need the heaters on about half the time I did last winter. Installation process was quick even finishing a day ahead of schedule. Installers were nice, friendly and efficient. Their work was good enough for… Read more
me to ask them back to do a little more work for me. Couldn't fault the communication with office and builders, I was kept up to date all the time regarding delivery of the cladding and arrival of the builders. Highly recommend this company.
Here are the pictures as promised, thanks again for the wonderful job, Dad gave the job full marks.
BEWARE. I want to warn others about my experience with James from Connelly Home Improvements. He arrived today to provide a quote, and the interaction raised several red flags. James refused to speak with me alone and insisted that my boyfriend also be present. I made it clear that wouldn’t be happening, as I’m the one who handles all decisions… Read more
for our home. We’ve just completed major internal renovations, and not a single builder, tiler, plumber, electrician, or tradesperson has ever had an issue dealing directly with me as a female.
He then said he needed to speak to both of us because he required an immediate yes‑or‑no decision once he gave a quote. When I explained that I’d be getting multiple quotes before committing to anything, he became visibly angry and walked out.
His pitch felt scripted, with the usual lines about “marketing in the area” and “wholesale rates.” For anyone considering Connelly Home Improvements, please be cautious. A reputable contractor will never pressure you for an instant decision or make you feel uncomfortable. Trust your instincts and look elsewhere if something feels off.

I recently had Connelly Home Improvements re-clad my home, and I’m absolutely over the moon with the results! I was advised on a beautiful colour that gave my home an uplift, but it also really gave it some character. The team was quick, professional, and incredibly easy to work with from start to finish. They really have an eye for it, I can't reccomend them highly enough.
Very satisfied with the quality of work and the price.
Dreadful horrid man who LIES, he approached everyone is the worst “ travelling salesman” routine. PLEASE STAY AWAY! Terrible Terrible service, awful squeaky product and not worth it. [Name Removed] is a [Content Removed], he’s a [Content Removed]!… Read more
He steals peoples money. He back dated a form and took me to VCAT! VCAT is a load of trash. Suits [Name Removed] Home Imprisonment well, I’m sure the VCAT OLD [Content Removed] was on his payroll. Save your money, contact me for full report.
Follow-up · Follow up- VCAT ruled against me as I did not tell delivery driver to take that Cladding away. I didn’t realise I could do that! I’m dumb! Absolutely not knowledgeable enough about my Rights back then. I am now. I have no means to pay for it, so either [Name Removed] picks it up or it stays where it is and rots. The service was cladding for a… Read more

Quality Of Work Speaks For Itself – Connelly Home Improvements did a great job on my home. They were easy to work with, showed up on time, the quality of their work speaks for itself. Everything looks great, and they didn’t cut corners. I also appreciated how they kept me in the loop throughout the process. Definitely glad I went with them!
Brilliant Service – Great Price, Great service, great product, Jim and the team did a wonderful job with our home and are a very helpful and hard working group of professionals. Thank you so much too Keith the carpenter also for his attention to detail and friendly attitude.
Highly proficient outfit that do what they say they're going to do! – In regards to the price, procedure and finished product, I'd like to articulate we're delighted with the overall results and have no problems recommending this business to friends and family. Price we felt they where well within the guidelines of other quotes for our home. Procedure from start to finish everything was completed on specified… Read more
timeframes from the date we signed the contract.
The place itself now looks fantastic and has added greatly to the overall value of our home.
Thumps up – Job completed two weeks ago on time and on budget, Orginally we looked at colourbond but the siding looks to have been the right choice on completion of the job. If their are any changes over time I'll change my review. Though right now Im pleased to say I'd have gone this same way with hindsight. Show details
Good finish, but not without some pain! – Delivery of materials occurred on time. Actual installation was delayed, as the contractor was completing many other jobs. Installation took only three days and the finished job was well done. There were additional costs we were not expecting, - the contractors broke all six downpipes - "we can't fix them, we're not plumbers, you'll have to get a… Read more
plumber" (Add $738.55.) And our multi-split airconditioning wouldn't work the day after they left, - broken pipe - no gas in system. "Sometimes these things happen in building projects. No, I don't have insurance to cover that". (Add $1,089.00) and we are left with two gates which no longer fit or work.
Vinyl Cladding a disappointing experience – In February 2023 I decided to have vinyl cladding put over my existing weatherboard home. I had a visit from [Name Removed], business owner of Connelly Home Improvement. I told him I also wanted a whole house aluminium window replacement. He said, we can do that as well. He assured me that if I had the funds ready, his team were ready to start as… Read more
soon as the materials arrived which he said would take about 3 weeks. He backdated the contract to remove the cooling off period. Initially this didn’t concern me as I wanted an immediate start. I paid $12,000 as my deposit and the balance was due on receipt of the goods. That’s when problems started to appear. It took til April for the windows to arrive even though the cladding had been here for weeks. The remaining $58,000 was paid and then it was a waiting game. The installers finally arrived in May. The windows were first, the builders clearly not happy to do this part. Their methods were highly unprofessional. Muddy boots weren’t removed as they traipsed inside leaving a mud trail. Drop sheets weren’t used, demolished Timbers and tools placed on unprotected bedding and furniture. It was a nightmare. Window measurements despite two visits prior to ordering were incorrect. Another hold up! Then to compensate an incorrect window they built the frame up with three tiers of Timbers. It looked terrible and I rang [Name Removed] about my concerns only to be told to take it up with the builders! He wasn’t interested. In between the job the builders left for longer periods to do other jobs and left their mess for me to clean up. The boards were smeared with soot from exhaust fumes and I was assured they would be cleaned. When [Name Removed] came to inspect the job and to bring a missing screen he told me to wipe the boards down myself. I’m 66 and he expects me to climb a ladder to this. Now, I notice the bowing of some of the boards. I paid over $70,000 for this job. Am I happy? Absolutely not.
