I had Corel VideoStudio 2020 (VS2020) already functioning well on my system with Windows 11 and I wanted to update to Corel VideoStudio 2023 (VS2023). I was NOT told that I had to remove VS 2020 from my system in order to accommodate VS 2023 so I went ahead and I tried to install VS 2023. The installation failed and I couldn't go into VS 2023. I sought Corel's Technical support help and that, apparently, was only via email exchange, which was a totally ineffective mode of addressing a very complicated issue. Because VS2020 had been made Legacy and since I had NOT unloaded it before installing VS2023, it caused massive installation problems for VS2023, such that I could NOT go back to using VS 2020 after uninstalling VS 2023. In summary, Corel failed to inform me that it was a requirement to unload VS 2020 before loading trying to install VS 2023 and their Technical services could do nothing to resurrect my previously functioning VS 2020. Corel refuse to compensate me for the fact that I now cannot use VS 2020, a product that was functioning under Windows 11 (Corel now maintain that VS 2020 does NOT function under Windows 11 because it has become legacy software). I have the Activation code for the VS 2020 when I first bought it several years ago and that is my proof of purchase.
