Stops charging frequently. Unreliable – Cannot plug and charge. Often I come back and find it hasn’t been charging. Useless and unreliable. Last night 3 times it stopped charging. So I will be buying a different brand now and tossing the Cygnett rubbish in the trash. The problem was there initially just I didn’t notice it until the charging kept dropping. Show details

Useless – Bought the 10000 mAh power bank and it doesn't charge, actually it's draining the phone battery instead of charging, have to take it back and get a refund, don't know if it's faulty or whatever, will never buy this brand. Show details

LED Display Useless – This review is for the 5000 mAh version. Exactly the same model just less capacity. The LED display was the reason I bought this power bank, as otherwise you have no idea when it will die. It will show 40% and then 0% with nothing in between. Cygnett recommends 'recalibrating the display' by charging to 100% and then discharging to 0% and… Read more

recharging to 100%. This would take somewhere around 15-20 hours to achieve, and must be done every time the LED display becomes 'un-calibrated'.

I will take it back for a refund.

Not great – Main fault with this charger is the charging plug can fit both ways, but only charges the correct way . You only realise what you come back abs hour later and the unit isn’t charging . Show details

Digital display is unreliable – Good powerbank but after a while( about 6 months) started having problems with digital display. Reads ok till about 50% then out of a sudden says 0%. It's hard when you are relying on it to charge your phone and you think you have 50% left and then goes straight to 0% without charging.

Digital display is just a gimmick – Looking for a portable charger for my wife's iPad. Came across the Cygnett ChargeUp Boost 15,000mAh which was on special and had a suitable capacity. I felt the digital charge indicator would be an asset and my wife liked the lilac colour. First one was a dud. While it charged OK, the digital readout was useless. At various times it would stay at… Read more

between 90% and 100% capacity, before dropping to 0%. Thought it might need to "calibrate" so tried fully charging then discharging a few times. It improved but would still only drop to around 50% before dropping to 0% so back it went.

Second one fared better. It started with the same problem the previous one had but seemed to calibrate quickly and gave a more realistic picture of the charge level...at least for the first few months. Now its back to dropping to around 70% and then plummeting to 0%. Nb. This one was bought from a completely different location so unlikely to be part of a faulty batch (different store in different state).

On a more positive note, there are two USB-A outlets which have a capacity of 2.4A and can be used simultaneously. The device is relative small considering its capacity and you would not so it was overly heavy for this type of device. Supplied with micro USB cable which can be used to charge it as well as for use in charging Android phones. If you have an iPhone, you will have to supply a suitable lightning cable yourself.

Bottom line, the digital readout seems to be a gimmick. Ignore it and the unit seems to charge as it should. However, not worth the premium over similar devices that just use LED dots to indicate their charge (reliably)...and are not lilac.

Cygnett ChargeUp Boost 15K is great – The Cygnett ChargeUp Boost is great. A good capacity recharging a smart phone 3-4 times. Maybe more depending on device/battery etc.. 2x2.4AmpUSB ports charges two devices quickly. Well worth considering

Terrible product and waste of time – Dropped it one time from about a metre and only got a few little scratches in the corner; it’s technology is in a very hard plastic case and yet it stopped working, wouldn’t charge and won’t charge at all. Don’t get this piece of crap.

Bonza! Lil' Rippa!! More get up and go in these than ya missus' full of Prozac at a Boxing Day sale! – BRILLIANT little performer! Other brand battery packs "Talk the talk" but don't "Walk the walk". Cygnett's ChargeUp Boost packs WALK THE WALK, and they WALK THE WALK, and then they WALK THE WALK some More! I got the first two of these little babies for less than half price at Harvey Norman the other day. (When one gets bored, one SHOPS and I… Read more

was in the right place at the right time!). I went back later and got two More!!

15,000mAh is heaps enough to recharge my tablets and phone a few times over, NO PROBLEMO!

[Or you can cough up an extra $100.00 plus for a 20,000mAh "ChargeUp Boost" pack, but coughing up the extra $100.00 plus just for an extra 5,000mAh seems a bit of a waste of coin! Cygnett take note].

I love the illuminated LED display too, let's one know how much grunt these babies have left when recharging.

Good thing about these is the 2.4amp dual USBs allowing you to charge 2 tablets at once with ease. They recharge my Samsung Tablets without any problems, and they don't waste the horsepower doin it either! Their Lithium Polymer battery really does the job.

These baby's don't take long to charge, which is handy if you are in a hurry. The LED illuminated displays let you know how much juice you have in them from zero to one hundred percent.

They hold their charge for yonks too. Two weeks and counting with number 4! These pack more punch than you're naggin missus when ya say the wrong thing to her (Ouch), And they are not overly weighty so they won't break any bones if she throws them at you either!

I love the feel of it too, easy grip, and it won't slip away, a pleasure to hold, very user friendly. I love the way I can comfortably grab hold of it firmly in my hand. (The ChargeUp Pack).

I'm as happy as a piggy in mud with these. You will not regret adding these to your shopping list folks.

Well done Cygnett!
