Poor charging and doesn't hold charge – I bought this three months ago to have tons of back up charging facility for my ipad and iphones. Used it twice so far. Both times disappointing. Standby charge only lasts a few weeks then its dead, so if you charge up for a coming trip in a few weeks it could be dead before your trip. If your trip is longer than a month don't count on it hanging in there even if it's just there in case you need it for an emergency. I have other CYGNETT chargers that hold their charge perfectly for months on end. Charge lights are difficult to tell if they are on or not. status lights are poor and difficult to see and interpret. Need a USBc cable to charge it won't take a standard usb to charge it. Which is annoying as I only have one of those but plenty of standard usb cables. I had it plugged into an ipad and it took all day to charge it. but it never reached full charge , same with my phones.

Update 28, Jan 2021, Working fine takes all day to charge but consistently lasts a few weeks after charging an ipad several times during that time. Have a usbc and nop problems charging it. Reliable output. Still difficult to tell if its charged or not due to the poor lighting of the charge status but overall good. Haven't not used for long enough recently to see if it loses charge so far no loss over a month or two.

Purchased in at Bing Lee for $179.

A handy device to have – Gave it 4 stars after a bit of a learning experience. Have included a review link. But what I found and a few tips. Cygnett 27,000 mAh USB-C Power Bank in Black Got one of these at JB HIFI shelf price $199 but got a good discount. $179 but had to go back for some extra's as explained below. If you are not using it to charge up a laptop look at less powerful options. goto cygnet.com

Bought one of these and got a surprise with the charger included which is about 6 inches long and connects from the type c on the the charger and has a USB A connector on the other end. Tried the charger on a standard 240 v adaptor or PD unit. The PD unit I used was a standard low capacity plug and it got red hot because of the load. So back to JB HIFI (cheaper to buy the following online with a bit of searching. I bought a Belkin Boost charge USB-C adaptor which has a 27w type C inlet and a 12w USB A inlet for phones etc. The 27w Type C outlet charges the Power pack in about 50% of the time and a lot safer heat wise. It is also a handy fast charger for phones etc via the 12w outlet. Shelf price $69 but got it for $60.

I also purchased a longer charge lead Type C to Type C for charging the Power pack. Shelf Price 39.95 which I got cheaper after asking for a discount. (just be aware if buying the Apple brand equivalent you will not get a discount due to a Apple policy? I got the Belkin 1.2 mtr cable for charging the power pack. 2 reasons it is longer than the ridiculous lead they give you and and being charged from the 30w type C input does it in half the time as the supplied USB A to USB C provided through the 12w USB A port. Reason being it is charging through the 30W Port on the Power pack, It took me about 3 hours to fully charge the Power pack I think but not sure of the time.

The Power pack Unit has 4 blue dots on it to indicate the charge. In case you miss it in the instructions that are in very small writing and at time difficult to understand instructions (well it was for me anyway hence the long explanation on here lol} Hope this helps you sort it out. There could be other alternatives but cant see any. I own a HP Spectre 360 and it works fine. I get a pop up that says I am not using a HP product but that is not a problem. I did see some Laptops use a higher W rate and might not work with this power pack, I suspect they are rare but dont rip up the box when you take it home if this is the case of returning the item. the box includes a list of compatible devices (mine was on it) but if your computer is not listed check out the Cygnet website or contact them as I assume some devices are not on the list. Enjoy your charger as it is a handy device to have around Here is a link to have a look at it written by an Australian independent reviewer https://www.techguide.com.au/news/computers-news/cygnetts-27000mah-chargeup-pro-keeps-devices-including-laptops-charged-go/
