Davey Silensor Pool Pump SLS200

A DuD – Motor shorted out after water leak Only two years old still within the three year warranty but Davey classed The seals as consumables and won’t fix it

Rubbish...don’t bother!! – Purchased this pool pump after our old one died having lasted 9 years (also a Davey). This pump lasted a year, and after multiple trips and repairs was given a replacement under warranty. This replacement has now stopped working after 13 months also, and again I need to take it in to be looked at, and will be charged $75 for the service!! Extremely disappointed with the unreliability of this pump, as pool will again be unusable while pump is being “looked at”. Save yourself the trouble and buy a different brand. Davey WERE good when they were made in Australia, sadly no longer the case and are absolute RUBBISH!! Customer service is pathetic too, gave me the phone number of a service centre in another state!!

Can't believe I got 2 duds – Replaced the 25 year old Davey when it died with a new Silensor 200. It was repaired once then died. They said the new models were even better and I bought it again. Repaired the new one once but the second time it broke was classified "unrepairable" and couldn't get an explanation. Davey said take it to a master dealer but that's where it was and where the communication stopped. Unhappy with Davey, Sylvania Pumps and the product. Won't ever buy a Davey anything again.
