confirm my address, which I did promptly.

Since then, I have sent multiple follow-up emails requesting confirmation of dispatch and tracking details. I have received no response at all, and the item has not been returned.

I am now left without both the product and a refund.

I have attempted to resolve this directly but have been ignored, and have now escalated the matter to Consumer Affairs.

I would strongly caution others when using David Jones Online returns, as communication and resolution have been extremely poor in my experience.

Bought an expensive designer item that arrived with no dust bag & it said this was included. Turns out this item is actually second hand. Disgusted & disappointed, I'm returning to the Queen St store to return this item & also return designer duvet/pillow cases that were meant to be top quality but are the opposite. Never, ever again shopping online OR in person at this suspect retailer. Avoid like the plague. Receivership is coming - no wonder!!

Lesson learned do not ever purchase from this store again. Worst experience ever!! Purchased a dress for a function with 8 weeks to event. Said dress never left dispatch and could not get an answer from anyone.. started asking for a refund and all you ever got was sms text messages but never spoke to a real person. till 11am but would i seek other assistance and i replied yes. It then sends you a link to their CONTACT US page but guess what - nowhere on this page can you actually contact them, there is no email, there is a series of FAQs but no link to follow up an order unless you open an account (who would after this stuffing around but too late AFTER an order anyway). They have a nice line on this page it says "For live support, please visit the Contact Us page on our website to connect with Customer Care." but we are already on that page and when you click CONTACT US - you come back to the same place. Interestingly it says customer care opens at 9.30am. These idiots dont have the customer interest at all. And when you call them (after 9.30) i gave up after 40 minutes as there is no callback feature. David Jones customer care doesnt exist! I tried again at 1 pm and the phone actually cutout after an hour! I DO NOT RECOMMEND DAVID JONES FOR CUSTOMER CARE OR ONLINE - DO NOT GO NEAR. And finally the customer feedback link - it doesnt have email either, they only accept it in writing to Level 21-22 Melbourne Quarter Two 697 Collins Street Docklands, VIC 3008 Australia They just want to make life hard - and yes they debited our funds from our credit card and have not delivered the items ordered over a week ago.....we live in same city as the store and we still dont have the receipt for the purchase

email) that my shirt was now out of stock. Given that it was their error and the item was clearly limited in stock, I would have expected them to reserve it for me or send my correct item as soon I told them it was wrong. Only after I complained, they offered me a $25 discount code on my next order. So I decided to give them another try and ordered two pairs of shoes. My shipping confirmation that was sent to me a few days later only listed one pair, and when I asked them why, I was then informed the second pair was out of stock despite my payment going through days earlier. When the one pair they did send finally arrived, they were clearly in poor condition, looking worn and damaged straight out of the box (see photos).

scuff marks all over it , wheels look like they had been dragged through gravel. It’s damaged and I would venture second hand / been returned to David Jones previously. Inside a cloth that was meant to protect it scruffed up and just thrown in case. Now on the day my wife’s father has passed away we have to deal with making calls to David Jones re this disgraceful delivery and tomorrow having to drive 3 hours return to take it back Terrible representation of the Antler brand and product to deliver their case in a competitors branded box in damaged , second hand condition. It is no wonder sales are declining when you get this abysmal level of quality and service from what was once a prestige retail brand . Abysmal customer service and care and after over 35 years of being a loyal and regular customer of David Jones I will never shop with them again. I hope this warns others. bowl back to Queens Plaza store and was made to feel like a liar in front of other customers. Store eventually agreed to refund because I was so upset. I wanted to exchange rather than refund but the store did not have stock and would not bring it in from another store that had stock. The only way of getting the dilnnerset would be to order it directly from the other store at original price which was $50 more than what I had paid! Awful customer service, terrible stock quality.

Parcel Locker, and I was shocked by the big size of the box, filled up with packing paper, and in the middle there was the small box of the beauty set. But I've got a wrong set of the same brand, not the one ordered, nor the one pictured in the confirmation email, and the item number on the packing slip is wrong as well. Moreover, the received beauty set is not even listed on DJ website; I know because I check often their web for this brand. Contacting DJ is a nightmare, there is no customer service by phone, the live email chat is a joke, you chat exclusively with a bot, then you receive a txt on the phone that you will be able to chat by txt in 48 hours, really?? I check DJ policies for returning an item, and off course they expect you to pay for sending back the parcel, justified "as change of mind". However this is their mistake, not my change of mind!! Every online shopping brand that I buy from, if they make a mistake they apologize and send by email a return label for free shipping to be attached to the parcel, except DJ. I am appalled that this "mistake" from DJ is a constant issue, I read dozens and dozens of customers reviews who have experienced the same situation, receiving wrong items. I have purchased from DJ online for over 12 years, and had never have any issues before. It is obvious that DJ has decided to go cheaper, removing any chance for customers to contact them by email or by phone as it was before, and I believe that their online order departments and warehouses are managed by incompetents, inexperienced staff in order of saving costs. After reading from other reviews that it can take 30 days or more for the refund and the return shipping would be at my cost, (plus it would cost me time off from work to go to the post office!), I have decided to keep the wrong set as I love Guerlain brand. However, I will request from DJ the price difference refunded, because the retail price of the wrong Guerlain set I received is lower than the set I ordered. DJ is gone down the hill since the partnership with Latitude, an awful financial company. I will update my review if I don't receive a refund for the price difference and I will report DJ to the Consumer Affairs.

They apologized and offered me a refund of 20% of the cost of the set, which I accepted, as it cover the cost difference between the set ordered and the one received (the refund was back on my card few days after). While the size/length of the slipper is accurate, the size of the collar of the slipper is completely unusable. In other words, there is no way of getting a foot into the slipper. I high recommend this product be avoided, and David Jones to improve quality control and product purchasing staff.

I was in the Elizabeth Street (Sydney) shop on Thursday of this week, and.....NO MUSIC. So great, so peaceful. I hope this is a new initiative, particularly given the crass, dreadful music that DJs normally foists upon staff and customers.

 Follow-up  · The dreadful music has returned. David Jones tries to position itself as an upmarket shop, yet the music is more akin to a downmarket shopping mall (rhymes with pal, not fall). Staffing levels are abysmal, some floors look like junk shops, and the food hall is now a waste of time. I feel sorry for the staff. Leadership and management under the corporate rapists, Anchorage Partners, is sadly lacking.

Easy to locate item (food processor) and purchase. Good information. Several payment options. Extra 10% off already discounted price. Velocity points not added - have had to lodge a claim - still awaiting outcome. Arrived quickly via Australia Post (purchased PM Thursday arrived early AM Monday) Item was well packed and arrived undamaged. Would purchase from here again.

When I asked a Male Staff at David Jones Sydney Store on 13/4/2026 at 9:50am today. HE WAS UNPROFESSIONAL, NOT HELPFUL & RUDE. HE HAS VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. HE WAS MORE FOCUSED ON HIS MOBILE. No sign of a delivery that I ordered seven days ago. No tracking update. When I connect with the 'virtual assistant' and type in the number I was given it says there are not enough numbers! Have been a long time card customer but I am going to give up ordering online from them from now on as it is too fraught. I can't see how their online business is going to survive or their shopfronts for that matter.

I paid for same day delivery and 1. it hadnt arrived and after speaking with DJ representative online it is being 'dispatched', meaning it hasn't left their warehouse yet, and, two, they've split the orders so that the remaining orders are likely 1 to 2 weeks away. No wonder David Jones went belly-up a few years ago. So DJs spilt their orders.

refunded and the order cancelled i contacted Mastercard and David Jones hadn't refunded the order at all. Not only had they lied they continually made excuses. They are obviously having cash flow problems but do not lie to your customers. What has happened to the great David Jones store of yesteryear!!!

At this point, I avoid shopping there on warmer days due to the discomfort. I also have concerns for staff who are required to work long hours in these conditions, as it may present a workplace health and safety issue. It would be interesting to have Worksafe review these conditions.

I hope this matter is addressed promptly, as it significantly impacts the shopping experience.I noticed that other stores in the centre do not have the same issue.

store manager showed genuine care or took responsibility for resolving the issue properly.

Overall, this was an extremely frustrating experience. David Jones is, in my opinion, one of the worst retail experiences in Australia, both online and in-store. I will never shop here again.

I recently made a purchase through DJ and the jacket was not a good fit.i decided to return it and found out that they have no online return portal. So you just send the item back to the merchant with no proper tracking and to top it all off i had to pay $20 postage. Given that this is one of the biggest retailers in australia I was shocked Given the prices on designer clothing. That is my first and last purchase.

I ordered 3 items of clothing online and only received one. They sent an email to inform me the other 2 items were no longer available. Poor customer service. I feel that David Jones needs to improve or they will sink as most other online businesses I have used offer a better level of service.
