Zero stars if I could. Pathetic DON'T SHOP HERE
Online shopping, pathetic, items out of stock but they let you purchase it. Send me the completely wrong item, refunds pathetic. Refund to Afterpay...still waiting. [Name Removed], virtual assistant, USELESS!!!!I called 5 times only then to be put through to customer service. Never again, sorry, Myer is FANTASTIC, David Jones needs to take a page out of their book.
Received wrong order to be told the item I actually ordered is out of stock!
I ordered a $300 necklace during the Black Friday sales. However, I did not receive the item I ordered but instead a $130 necklace that doesn’t look anything like what I ordered! Called the customer service number to be told “sorry, we will refund you”
ummm...what about sending me the item I ordered??? “Oh, sorry we’re sold out online and in store, sorry about that” seriously???? This is not good enough. I entrusted my purchase with this store instead of the brand‘a stand alone store. Now the sales are over my only option is to spend an extra ...
Lies about refunds
Bought items online out of which 1 item was no available (yet their system still allowed it to be sold online)
David Jones promised to process a refunds.
2 weeks later... no refund received, open a complaint with David Jones and received a case number with an email saying they will respond in 48 hours.
1 month later... no communication whatsoever... so I liaised them again and they said they already refunded the money on xxx date and if I didn't receive the funds go talk to my bank.

Placed an order on black Friday. The order was cancelled next day without any reason in email. Talked to customer service and was told the product was sold out. DavidJones online system is a joke!
Never Fulfil Order . And wait for refund is terrible
Last six months I have at least placed 6 orders. And every time I get an email few days later as below :

Unfortunately, when we are trying to support Brick and Mortars stores, the rise of online stores like Amazon is inevitable due to the customer service difference. BEWARE **DAVID JONES Stole My Money Canceled Order, Did NOT Return $$ Correctly No Reply
Bought boots. David Jones cancelled the Order. Said they refunded the method of payment. But received nothing 11 days later. Afterpay cannot do anything because David Jones refunded my $$$ on the wrong order number. David Jones wont respond or fix. They stole my money ! BEWARE!
Hard to call an actual store
I wanted to call a Dvid Jones store in Canberra to check stock of a product before traveling to the store. It was advertised on line as on special.
I call the only number avaiable (a 1300 number - costs me money) to get an answering machine that said if I wanted to talk to a store I had to speak what I wanted. I said "Canberra". The reply?: "I am sorry I dont understand which store... Trie dagain - no. I said Canberra city and it wnet silent. Then the store answered... (There was nil stock BTW).
Product I bought never arrived - ordered two months ago and Australia Post has no record of receiving it
still emailing and calling two months later and they won't cancel my order and return my money!! never ever again!! Buy anywhere else except from this unreputable company
I can’t believe I had to escalate this matter to Fair Trading. Bought an item online on 16/10 and got advised there’s no stock and refund been processed on 20/10. It’s 19/11, almost a month still no refund. I feel like they giving false ads so they occupy people’ fund. Very dodgy actually. After countless times calling, emails, all they said is it has been processed. Not even trying to contact bank, follow up with customer. I sent them bank stmt, called the bank to confirm. All they did is sending a screenshot out of nowhere saying it’s been pr...ocessed. Very useless. Hugh, Gabby, Roxanne, Simone, Caitlin, Jan, Amy, yes I’m talking about your services. I swear I will never buy anything online from DJ again. I can understand the system can screw up sometimes but how helpless their customer services are is the problem. You have been warned.

So my saga of buying a pair of boots online from David Jones has finally come to its climax. 1 month after purchasing the boots online I finally received them. There were many hours wasted on the phone to "Liz" the Virtual Assistant and being directed to just about every department at David Jones including kitchen ware. I'm not sure how "Liz" interpreted "mens shoes" to mean a kitchen appliance or ladies clothing, or sunglasses..... or ... but anyway I finally got through to a human. After having to place 2 orders for the same product onli...ne and being charged $300 each time (refund for the first purchase took 3 weeks and many phone calls) I have the boots. They are nice boots. They are 2 sizes larger than I purchased (size 10 instead of size 8, despite the packing slip and receipt specifically stating size 8, but hey I can't be too fussy. So long story short David Jones has become an absolute joke. Be careful, they use bait advertising on their website advertising "Sale" prices for stock they don't have. You will order, then pay and then receive an email advising they can't fulfil the order due to having no stock. Then they will take weeks to refund your money, but not before you waste many hours chasing them up for your refund. Absolute disgrace and predictably David Jones is headed for liquidation if it keeps operating like this.
Still no refund
Same thing. I purchased on 20/10/20 returned on 28/10 still waiting for refund. Rang numerous times get told different stories each time. They say refund processed 28/10 which wasnt they then said re done on 9/11 as they had computer glitch still waiting to date 18/11/20. Checked my bank twice they said David Jones problem not bank. Bank hasnt received refund money. Never will I shop David Jones again. Attrocious. Out of pocket and very angry as no one will delve further where money has gone.

The most disgusting customer service I have ever received. Missing an item in my online order a month of emails and nothing no one will help all I get back is we are looking into this. Don't buy from here you will probably get ripped off.

I have ordered a overnighter bag online, on 25th of Oct, 2020 they confirm my order and payed the full amount. But DavidJones cancelled my order due to availability. But it never refunded back my money until now. Its 17th of Nov, 2020 already. I contacted them couple of times and all they can say is they refunded my money on same date 25th Oct, 2020 but check my bank account statement and ring my bank but there's is no money refund by DavidJones. I emailed couple of times there customer services and I have a attached my bank statement , pro...ving the money has not being refunded. Save your money
I ordered a dress but the cut was a bit too big for me sent the dress back to their online facility and this was the start of all my issues its been 4 weeks of us going back and forth all i just wanted was my money that i spent on the dresses that i had returned. I have gotten to a place where clearly i am never going to get my money back and if honestly this is how you treat your customers then i hope and pray your doors get shut. Such a useless shop no wonder why they are on their knees and riddled with debt.

Terrible mistake by purchasing Jura Coffee machine from David Jones.
Jura Coffee machine purchased on the 9th Oct; every time I made the coffee several times it was tepid cold.
Not many setting to turn the heating on, the cold coffee unbearable to drink, I had to put the coffee in the microwave to heat then taste totally changed, the price I have paid I need to get value.
I am a valuable customer of DJ's totally disappointed at the service, certainly standards have dropped in today's fierce marketing world.

Worst customer service ever
I spent 3 hours today shopping at Westfield, encountered so many lovely sales people and of all places, David Jones had the worst customer service ever! The cashiers weren’t staffed at the beauty section and when I was heading to the men’s section and I was stopped by a staff. She rudely said that I’m not allowed to pay for the merchandise at another department. That’s absurd! Dealing with her was absolutely unpleasant and ruined my Christmas shopping mood. Another reason why online shopping thrives - there is no human factor! I’ll spend my money elsewhere!
The lady with fake lips at the Zimmerman at Miranda David Jones. Extremely rude. Isn’t friendly. Was there for 40 min looking at cloths she didn’t approach me, made once eye contact but gave me filthy looks. Very bad image for your brand.
People have expenses and work for a living yet David Jones supports a company that does not pay its employees.
Companies use the Covid as a reason to close a business when in fact Covid it had nothing to do with it.

I have ordered a Coffee Machine online
Never arrived recieved an email telling me it's out of stock. Why would you confirm the order and change my card if you don't have stock?. Anyways , two weeks later still didn't receive a refund.
Called them ... rudely, they said one of

That's ridiculous. Never expected such behavior from a big store .

Faulty watch never worn- disappointing outcome
Returned faulty Daniel Wellington watch - Never worn. Placed on wrist to see what it looked like, tried to get it working on the day given. Salesperson insisted it was worn even though band had no obvious sign of wear. Would not exchange. It had to be repaired!!! Extremely upset with the outcome.
