Decko Questions & Answers
How do they go with dust and debris between joins.
We use a blower to clean any leaves off the surface and also to clean in between the sections. Seems to work well. Ours are on a veranda and we have an outdoor mat under a table with 6 seats to protect them .
I have laid the Decko tiles over stable and well drained concrete pavers. The area is partly covered by waterproof shade sail. The tiles are warping after 1 year. I have been told that this is due to the pavers underneath not drying out. I live in Cairns so for at least 4-6 months of the year nothing dries out. Any suggestions on how to stop this. I am considering pulling them up and putting down a waterproof membrane and then relaying them.
Probably the humidity
They are advertised as waterproof and water resistant.
I have a paved are along the fron of the house - paving tiles are the small, brick sized pavers. They are a quite uneven and not perfectly flat. Do the Decko Tiles site flat or would I need to put some kind of under lay down first? (They’d be in the open and get rained on). Thanks.
Hi, Are the suitable to be laid over old decking on a balcony with a slight movement on the decking runs between the span of joist ? decking is approx 17m x 1.8m
I have laid Decko over a clean concrete slab - very satisfied. Based on this experience I am currently considering covering an upstairs timber deck which is of a similar size to Cheg's and showing it age with Decko tile laying them at right angles to the present timber decking boards which are about 90mm wide. Just wondering if water would get in between these tiles? I am planning to cover an area that needs to remain dry underneath. Thanks very much.
No, they are actually open between each piece. I old think that the wold be fine if lain over a poly sheet to give water proofing.
Do they hold firmly on the floor.or can there be movement .
They hold firm pretty much and snap in really good too. The Movement is very minimal allowing for expansion and contraction.
