Digitech Wireless Weather Station with Colour LCD XC0434
MPN: XC04342 reviews
Digitech Wireless Weather Station XC0434 – Works good, when it works. Lasted 14 months and the outdoor unit stopped working. Local importers no assistance, as they just say warranty out of date. Cannot buy spares. It does not connect to any online app to be able to read data away from site. Once something goes wrong with any of the outside parts, it is then useless. For an item that is designed to be used outdoors, a 12 month warranty is useless. Do yourself a favour, and buy any other similar product, as many are much cheaper, and come with longer warranties. An outdoor product that dies after 13 months is pathetic.
Purchased in at Jaycar Electronics for $379.
Overpriced. Does the job. Barely – Purchased from Jaycar in January 2024 for $369, I don't believe it is value for money. While it is relatively easy to set up, and does show temp and humidity inside and outside reasonably well, there are issues: They state, "Colour LCD", when what they mean is "Coloured LCD" - it has different coloured screens over the different sections of the black and white LCD display. In this day, I would expect better. Like, a true colour LCD screen!
The rainfall graphs are not good. They are fixed at 10mm increments, with the maximum mine displays on any day of 30mm. (It displays the previous five days.)
It remembers "History" - for 24 hours!
There is no software to enable viewing or downloading the historical data. For this price, I would expect it.
I feel that the display is very dated, like, 15 or 20 years out of date. As such, I think it costs over double what I would expect. ie. I would not recommend it.
