Avoid if you care about deflation...or good customer care – Wait for the updated version. The current version (Apr 2024) has dodgy valving. It is fine to inflate, but to deflate you need to remove the valve, spin it around and attempt to click it back in place. This is not what the instruction say, nor is it easy to do. I assumed the valve had been built incorrectly as it only let air in, not out. It is… Read more

supposed to do the reverse. I took it back to the store for a refund. It was then the attendant told me that lots of people have complained about the same issue, but that it is a "Chinglish" thing (his words not mine). He then showed me how we are supposed to remove the valve and attempt to click it back in reversed. This is not easy to do. It took me many attempts and sore fingers to get it done....and that was on a shop floor, not in a small tent. When I told him I would not have purchased the mat had I known this, and that it is not as advertised, his response was along the lines of "its advertised as a sleeping mat and you can sleep on it, so you have no case to make". I suggested this was against Australian Consumer Law, his response was essentially, "good luck with that, many have tried before". Terrible customer service Anaconda. You know you have made a bad product that doesn't match the instructions or the advertisement. Rather than pedaling faulty products, how about you simply get a new batch of valves made to replace the faulty ones. It would cost you a lot less than the loss of subsequent business you'll get from everyone you've disappointed. The mat itself is very comfortable, you just can't easily deflate it.

Value issues are real and frustrating – THE GOOD: Although I've not yet taken it camping, the mat itself is very comfortable when tested at home. The manufacturer is clear it takes a few days to fully inflate and so longing as you read the instructions and expect this, it's no problem. THE BAD: The multitude of complaints on this and other websites around deflating the mat with the… Read more

one-way valves are real and very frustrating. The lower valve allows air in and out and should be unscrewed when inflating (this works fine). The upper valve is a one-way valve that is designed to only let air OUT when rolling it back up. Unfortunately it allows only air IN and stops any air being released when rolling the mat up, rendering it useless and making rolling the mat back up very, very hard. This is not a fault with my mat, it is clearly a manufacturing issue as it has been reported consistently so many times. Why they continue to sell a known faulty product when the valve issue has been so widely reported is beyond me. Please recall the product and replace faulty products!

Durability is zero. Don’t buy – We have decades of experience with inflatable mats of many different styles, costs and qualities. This is the least durable mat we have ever had. The materials are of such cheap quality that the membranes permeabilise with even the slightest amount of crushing force. The Velcro straps it comes with are enough to cause leaks; forget about strapping… Read more

it to you roof or pushing boxes against it in the car. We had two mats, one on replacement after we diagnosed the extensive leaks in our first mat. We spent many hours over months identifying leaks and fixing them (we are experienced in this) but new ones appear so quickly that every trip results in a deflated mat. The good thing is that the mat is moderately comfortable even when deflated. The surface is soft and the foam is ok. I guess the trade off for softness results in a fragile mat. The leaks are very small and not immediately obvious. I met others with the same mat who had not realised that it was leaking, but all of them were on partially deflated mats by morning and just assumed nothing was wrong. If it was easier for users to test for leaks and show they are a manufacturers fault, I suspect this product would have been discontinued years ago.

Don’t buy unless you want a $300 pool floaty like we have.

Good comfort, no durability! – We camp regularly and have tried multiple sleeping set ups. We purchased the Dune 4WD Double Supreme 3D mat thinking it to be quality. It was quite expensive and felt great to lie on at first. Unfortunately it's build quality is terrible. It lasted 1 camping trip before it got it's first hole and has been nothing but deflating dreams and… Read more

uncomfortable nightmares since. It's terrible to roll up and wise to sleep on as it wants to spend it's entire life semi inflated. I would not recommend at all. Take a foam mattress and save $300.

Instructions are there for a reason – What's with everyone leaving bad reviews because they didn't read the instructions? It literally says it on the information immediately available instore, on the website AND on the sheet that's ON TOP of the mattress when you open the box. It is legit the FIRST thing you see! I literally only came to find these because after it sitting inflated… Read more

for 3 months in my shed, I need to make some space. Turns out, a vacuum is the perfect way to store these things down - on the lowest possible settings - just be patient. Props to whichever review mentioned that - thank you!!

All that being said, I turned our Tesla Model S into a camper for our road trip down to NSW a while back. My wife saw that the queen was on special, even though for our dimensions we should have got the King.

Thank got she did, because the way it folded up at the doors and around the side of the boot saved me from bashing my legs against the hard corners of .. well, the car!

Very comfortable, the price isn't offensive, and when compared to other similar products I've tried over the years, I think is remarkably good value.

For everyone deterred by the low rating, please don't be. juts don't be stupid. Read the instructions. I swear to god if another bad review comes up because of the inflate time, you should hand the keys to your car and just go buy a granny kart, limiting yourself to the sidewalks for the rest of your life. Please do not go camping.

Dune4wd inflatable mattress – Re the problems about packing the mattress up. With my double mattress I opened one valve and held my vacuum cleaner hose to the open valve. It sucked the bed flat in about 30 seconds. Then I quickly screwed the valve up. I store the mattress with the valve closed. For camping maybe a portable vacuum cleaner would help. The instructions advise to leave the valves open, good luck with that one because the mattress will always try and inflate.

Don't buy it! Valves are incorrectly installed – To be honest, it's actually quite comfortable. However, I have only had it a few days. It's been inflated for the 48 hrs as stipulated in the instructions. The issue is with pack up!!! When you remove the top cap, the vales will not release any air. You can apply as much force as you want onto the mat, no air escapes through the valve. The valves… Read more

have been built in the wrong way around.

So essentially, you then have to release the bottom cap (which is supposed to be used to inflate the product), then exert a ton of effort in rolling it up (all while it's trying to re-inflate its self). Because you fighting the air coming back in you can not expel all of it, therefore, it is then almost imposable to get back into its carry bag.

I put the cap's back in place, then thought id test the valves. I removed the top cap again, the damn thing started sucking air back in as soon as i removed my body weight from the roll up.

I will be returning the product

Product needs a recall.

Deflates throughout night – Mattress begins deflating immediately after weight is put on it. It takes ~24-48hrs to fully inflate and will deflate halfway after ~12hrs under a doona or ~1hr under a human.

Two days to inflate??? – Just bought 2 of these mattresses. $160 each from Anaconda. Have been inflating for a day and a half. The instructions say to allow 2 days!!!! from new packaging. The sales person did not mention this. Infuriating. Lucky we didn't need them on the way to a camp site. If they are not fully inflated by tonight, they are going back. Rubbish. Show details

Valve Issue – I just bought this product for my daughter along with the Supa Supreme 3D mat for myself. I have musculo-skeletal problems so was keen to have a comfortable mattress. Unfortunately, it seems that the stress I have to place on my body trying to roll the mattress up negates the benefits of the comfier mattress. The problem, it seems, is with the… Read more

valve. The instruction manual says that the valve is a one-way valve that lets air out and doesn't let it back in which helps to roll up the mattresses. However, it would seem that they have it the wrong way around. The valve lets air in but doesn't let air out. On speaking with an employee from the store about the issue, I have now been told that this is a problem with all the many Dune mats that he has rolled up through his work. I have not yet had a chance to try out the mattresses as I received them only this week, but this is a disappointing start. I can't help wondering why, if this is a known error with the product, it hasn't been corrected by Dune, or at least removed by them on their printed instruction sheets.

Not for me – Used this double sized Dune 4wd mat for a few nights camping and the air went out or decompressed in the night so I was sleeping virtually on the ground. I had to pump it up again, which is not fun in the middle of the night. Re-tested it at home and it did the same thing, lost air overnight. It is very difficult to roll a double size mattress… Read more

back up. For this reason, I would always buy two singles and lay them side by side. Although I did like the material, I would not recommend this product. (I also have a single Megamat, which does not lose any air and is very easy to roll up.)

Super Comfy Night Sleep – This Product exceeded my expectation. I am new to camping and decided to invest in a new Double Sleeping Mat to help get through the night. The 'Supreme' model is more expensive that the standard 4WD, but Anaconda were running a 'Members Offer' at $185, which is only an extra $50, and it is money well spent. The Mattress was extremely… Read more

comfortable and seems to be made of good quality materials. The top is quite soft, and the foam provides a very good level of support, never letting you feel the ground below. Also, It does not shift about very much when the person next to you rolls over like you might expect from a regular old air bed.

One big advantage of the Supreme is that it can be folded along its length, before rolling up, which save a lot of space in storage and transportation.

These type of mats are so easy to set up. But the trade off for the comfort is the effort it takes to roll them up and squash the air out. Be prepared to put in a reasonable amount of effort in to get this thing rolled up and back in the bag. And don't expect to get it as tight as it was on the day you buy it.

Overall i am a 'very happy camper' and I would highly recommend buying this product.
