He called the police and I waited until they arrived as I wanted this resolved. The police said that the business had the right to refuse to serve me, despite me not raising my voice or being threatening in any way. They also said the company needed to refund what I had paid as they would not provide the service. I contacted the car rental company and they said I had to call economy bookings, I did this multiple times and was told I needed to apply for my refund via email. I did this and finally got a reply 11 days later. It is now 8 weeks later and they have already tried a few other terms and conditions traps. The latest is that they cannot refund as I didn't have an international drivers permit (I did have it and it wasn't requested). I imagine I will receive an email in another 3 weeks with another "reason" why they cannot refund me. In summary, I paid for the car and the rental company representative refused to serve me. I have approached both companies for a refund of the payment of the service I was refused. If you use economy bookings, pray that you do not need any service (or a car).

I paid in full and submitted my request for a refund with the email showing my cancelled flight. A week later I received an email stating how they could not issue a refund because them and the rental company incur a loss of operating expenses (though I cancelled 24 hours in advance). When I was able to get a new flight I tried to contact support again to see if I could reinstate my reservation within 30 minutes of the cancellation and was told they could not. I ended up reserving a car through Expedia, which was comparable in price and my experience was the easiest to work with. They also have free cancellation through your reservation time and do not require payment until you pickup the vehicle. I was able to cancel one car two hours before pickup due to missing my connecting flight in Paris. I was then able to schedule a new vehicle and pickup time along with child seat within minutes and it took a maximum of 10 minutes to pickup the vehicle once we arrived. The price was also comparable, only £30 more for the five-day reservation. NEVER go with Economy Booking, you get what you pay for I guess.

I want a FULL refund onto my card of payment now. You took $776.42 AUD, and I want it back. This activity is illegal, you cannot say the cost you will take from my bank is one thing and then take more. And your refund policy says “ You may cancel your booking and receive a 100% refund up to 48 hours before pick-up.” which I’m well and truly within the timeframe for a full refund.

Transaction with EasiRent occurred on 10/11/2025 and the transaction with Economy Bookings occurred on 10/6/2025. I paid Easirent the $382.17 upfront to pick the car up in Salt Lake City Airport and drop if off at Phoenix Airport. But when I went to pick up the car at Easirent, they said I had to pay a one way fee of $400 and then charged me $118.99 for miscellaneous taxes even though the terms said local taxes are included in the cost I paid EconomyBookings upfront. The only thing it said the rental didn’t include are the following (none of which are the one-way drop off fee they charged me): Fines, Toll Fees & Parking charges, Cancellation fee and Additional equipment (Like: child seat, navigation system (GPS)) requested at time of booking or purchased locally and extra services (Like: additional driver, out of hours fees and one way rentals).

"E-wallet" refund just 24 hours after issuing it. More recently, another partner refused three of my major credit cards, demanding a cash deposit or a physical card I didn't have. EconomyBooking's support is non-existent. They use automated messages to delay responses-first promising a 4-day turnaround, then 7, then 14-seemingly hoping customers will simply give up. I have kept all documentation and strongly advise everyone to book elsewhere.

to get my money into what they called "E-Wallet". A funny freaking comment, when you read their documentation it says that you could get the balance in your this freaking "E-Wallet" to your original form of payment, there is nothing on their freaking website that allows you to do this.

also like to clarify that, in relation to the same event, two separate claims were submitted. One of them, for the amount of €412.36, was correctly refunded using the same bank details provided. This confirms that the bank details supplied were accurate and valid.
However, the €1,000 refund remains unpaid, despite being marked by you as approved and “refunded”.
This amount relates to an actual documented expense personally paid for a towing truck service, which falls under towing costs covered by your Full Coverage terms.
Over the past months, I have contacted customer service several times by email and phone. On every occasion, I was told that I would be contacted back or that the finance department would provide an immediate update, yet I have never received any concrete response.
According to your complaints procedure stated in your Terms and Conditions, I therefore request a written and reasoned reply, together with the final resolution of this matter.
I request within 7 days of receipt of this review:
immediate payment of the €1,000 refund; or full bank proof of the transfer allegedly made (date, amount, recipient IBAN, CRO / SWIFT / transaction reference number).
If no response is received within the stated timeframe, I will be forced to proceed through further formal channels, including payment dispute procedures, reports to the competent authorities, and consumer protection bodies.

since this incident, and I am still waiting for a refund of my 60 euro prepayment. I have been contacting EconomyBookings support every single week, but I only receive generic replies stating that they are "investigating the matter." There has been zero progress and no actual resolution.
I am completely disappointed by this lack of accountability. It has been a huge waste of both money and time.
Lesson learned: In the future, I will only book cars directly with rental companies to avoid these shady intermediaries.
