Hi Susan, Best to get a copy of AS3959 (building in bushfire prone areas) Our Flame Fighter boards have been tested to the criteria as set out in AS 1530.8.1 and have a Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) rating of BAL29. Please note, this satisfies AS3959 Construction of building in bushfire prone areas as per Section 7.1 “Any element of construction or system that satisfies the test criteria of AS 1530.8.1 may be used in lieu of the applicable requirements of contained in Clauses 7.2 to 7.8 [of AS3959].”

They are not 'non combustible'

You need to speak to an hvac person as most units need a certain amount of air flow for them to work

Hi Matt, Hard to say - generally we say if you'd do it with timber, you can do it with Ekodeck! I'm unsure if there are any specific regulations re-open fires (ie. BBQs) and distances from surfaces - you'd have to look in to that yourself and determine the suitability of the product for your application. From a structural perspective I can't see any issue however.
