Expensive. Extremely poor battery – Purchased this vacuum yesterday (23/2/19), as I wanted a cordless vacuum to use for cleaning my car. After being on charge overnight, the battery died after only 10min (on the lowest suction level), despite having an advertised runtime of 33min (didn't even get to finish vacuuming the car). I would expect this kind of performance from a $30 cordless vacuum from Kmart, not a $140+ device. I will be taking this back for a refund as soon as I can. Show details

Quite good, battery does not last – I bought this vac to clean my car and it works. I need to charge it for an extended time or keep it in the charger all the time, as the battery takes a long time to charge and uses quite quickly. Other than that it is good reliable vac and I like using it, it is lightweight and stylish.  Show details

Pretty good cordless vac – I use it on floorboards at half speed and full speed on carpets so the battery life is really good. The inbuilt light makes it extra easy to see dust - and especially bits of kitty litter scattered around the house. It’s my second Electrolux Rapido and I’m really happy with it - good product for the price. Only down side is the battery only lasts about 4 years.  Show details

Excellent for car cleaning – Really gets into the carpet pile and cleans the car out better than all the others I have tried. Very easy to use, very easy to clean ( back just pops off). Fats charging time ad most importantly - powerful suction, This is a good product and actually works properly, unlike other brands!  Show details

Lithium Ion Version is good – I tried these out in store tand the obvious choice is the L-ion one. It produces solid and powerful suction and the recharge time is quicker too. We have lots of little sticky leaves in out driveway so I need this to clean out the car every second day. It does a good job and is easy to empty too. Recommended but definitely go with the Lithium Ion version.  Show details

Does the job, takes too long to charge – To begin with, it takes 16 hours to charge for the first time and I think I spend charging it more than using it. I bought it for the car and it works well. Suction just enough to do what I need. I would prefer it to be able to charge faster as having it on standby all the time is not energy friendly.  Show details

Nothing Sucks like Electrolux – I bought one about 6 month ago and a month ago it suddenly stopped charging or that I assumed since it would only work for a sec or two. So bought a new charger but it is still not charging. Im going to throw it out now ... thanks Obama  Show details

Electrolux Rapido – The Electrolux Rapido is OK as my title suggests;its not powerful enough to get the job done; I really wish I bought the next modle up or another brand. Its easy to recharge and reload so I guess that makes up for it; keep your receipts in case you have the same trouble.  Show details

Best handheld Vacuum Cleaner – I purchased this Vacuum cleaner few months back to use it for my car. The suction power of this one is very good. Now I have also started using it to clean my couch. It is very light weight and the sound level is also not very high. The option to increase and decrease the speed is very handy.  Show details

Great – It is so great! It is very handful for human especially a girl to use it. I use it when I want to clean my room or some tiny little place that a large vacuum machine cant get into. It is not heavy, so it wont bother you when you use it for a long time  Show details

Suck well – This was meant to be a spare vacuum but ended up it was used the most often. Amazingly useful for quick cleaning up during the week. It is light weight & easy to carry around the house. Power button operate with single press, not like Dyson need to hold the trigger down. Adjustable power level but it is best to leave it at highest. Battery only last enough for a room or two.  Show details

Electrolux hand held vacuum cleaner – hand held vacuum cleaner was a gift but it has become a necessity in our home, it does not take long to charge and is quiet it sucks up nearly everything on all different floor types, ours can become an upright and has a few attachments and as long as you clean the container and dust the filter you will always be happy with your hand held Vacuum… Read more ·  1

Cleaner, and Electrolux are a quality Brand for kinds of appliances. I wouldn't be without mine and I thank God for this gift. Once you have tried it you will not be without it, it is so easy to use instead of a large Vac for a small to Med job.

You need it – You need it in a Studio and office! It is small which is easy to keep and easy to take on hand. You can put it on the table. It is ok light and have enough power, also easy to maneuver. But if you live in a big house you might need to buy a bigger power one.  Show details

Easy & convenient – This model is easy to use, very compact and reliable. I'm very happy with the suction power and it's awesome to clean my car as it gets into the hard to reach spots. I only use small areas as I use my Electrolux hand vacuum to clean my house but definitely love this little one  Show details

My magnificent vacuum – In my experience my vacuum is really a great help. You know why, it saves time for me. My husband used to eat chips and bread and every time he eats i can see all the crumbs and the mess on the lounge and carpet. But because we have a portable vacuum cleaner its so easy for me to clean the areA. I always maintain it very clean. The performance of my vacuum is super and it's easy to use  Show details

Handy, useful little gadget – I bought the Rapido 12v at a home from the RNA show hounds many years ago. It's been wonderful. I have four little children who love scattering crumbs everywhere in the kitchen. Trust me! The 12v Rapido has been extremely useful. It charges on top of the fridge and I've constantly used it for roughly six years, just in the kitchen, up until now

Would be ok if it worked! – Now returning this item. Bought it in April 2015, used it about once or twice a month since and already having issues with it. There is no online product support information. No troubleshoot guides. The motor provides good suction however now shows that it is charged but will not operate. The motor dies 1 second after turning it on. The small dust shaker broke after 3 uses. Expected more for the price paid. Waste of $ and time.

Waste of money! – We purchased this item a few years back. Overall performance was ok for the first year. Design was nice but a bit on the heavy side. But after a year the battary starter dying on us. It would only last about 5min. Full charge till you had to re-charge it. Like other Electrolux item we have purchased they have been crap and unreliable. We will never buy a Electrolux product again!

Can't live without it! Really!!! – I have the painful condition Fibromyalgia. To use my heavier vacuum cleaner, I find avoidance for me a regular event, but with the powerful suction of my hand held vacuum cleaner I can use it not only once a day, but a few times a day in small stages. I would recommend this product to anyone!

Very happy with the power – What a great little hand held vacuum, battery seems to last long time between charges. Sunction is much better than I expected, all I was after was decent sunction to pick up dog hair and small pebbleish dirt and it does that very easily. Fantastic colour. Charger cradle is also wall mountable so that is a great option. Very happy.

Very good handheld vac – I bought this to replace a very poor Breville vac and have found it to be an good product overall, its main selling point being an 18V Li-ion battery providing strong suction. I didn't have any problems picking up dirt, grass and small stones from my car interior. Battery running time is reasonable and I got just over 15 minutes use of it on… Read more

maximum power. There seem to be two power levels, controlled with a slightly confusing rocker switch. When the power is off, pressing either "+" or "-" on the switch turns the vacuum on high power. When the vacuum is running, pressing "+" toggles between high and low power. Pressing "-" turns the power off. It's not a very intuitive arrangement, but at least you don't have to hold down a "Max" or "Boost" button as on some other vacuums. The Electrolux site claims a 35 minute running time, but that must be on the low power setting, which frankly isn't very useful; better to think of it as having a 15 minute running time. A three-bar battery indicator shows the remaining charge and also lights up during recharging. The charging stand holds the vacuum vertically, either free-standing or wall-mounted.

There are two small wheels at the front that supposedly make the vacuum easier to handle, but they're really more of a hindrance if you need to move the vacuum from side to side, say while cleaning the car. Moreover, they introduce a gap between the outlet and the surface you're vacuuming, which reduces suction. The instructions include steps on removing the wheels for cleaning, so I suppose one could just leave them off if they become a nuisance.

Two attachments are supplied: a crevice tool and a small brush. They clip into the charging stand, but unfortunately not into the handle of the vacuum itself, unlike on one of the lower-powered models (the 12V one, I think), which would be handier. The tools leave something to be desired though: the crevice tool is not very long and would be more useful if it were a few inches longer. The brush is *extremely* hard to remove once inserted; this is a very bad design.

A flap on the front opens to reveal a hole that you can use to suck out the dust from this handheld using the hose of a mains-powered vacuum. This is a great idea in theory, but I find that if you use this vacuum to pick up hair, the hole will soon become too clogged to be used in this manner. The normal way to empty the vacuum is to press the release button and separate the dust container from the motor. I suspect that over time, this will be a weak point of the vacuum; I saw demo units in two shops where the two halves no longer clipped together securely. This seems like another design flaw.

On an aesthetic note, this vacuum looks great. The transparent dust container is a smoked grey colour and has a reflective finish, almost like mirrored sunglasses. It's one of the best-looking handhelds I've seen, a far cry from the daggy purple Breville and more attractive in my opinion than Dyson's alien spaceship designs. Strong suction, reasonably good running time, Li-ion battery which will hopefully last a long time, looks good, 2-year warranty Brush attachment very difficult to remove once inserted

Excellent portable vacuum cleaner – I bought my ZB4112 in August last year, so have had it for just over a year. It is certainly a very competent performer, with a powerful suction, and a “max” button for extra suction power – which as mentioned in another review, can be a little tiring to hold down. I find that I only need that extra power when removing cat fur from fabric… Read more

surfaces, with the little brush attachment.

It’s quite heavy, but feels solid and well built. It’s easy to clean. With the nozzle attachment I am able to clean in tight corners quite easily - in fact I mainly use it with the nozzle attached. The battery lasts and lasts, and I’ve not had it go flat on me in mid-use, in the year that I’ve had it.

All in all, I am very happy with it. Powerful suction, reliable With the charging base wall-mounted, the battery contacts don't always make contact - sometimes have to move it around to get the blue light to come on

Great vacuum – I've never had a 'dust buster' type cleaner before, but since we bought a robot vacuum, we needed something to do the car, shelves, flyscreens etc so I opted for this based on the reviews on this site. I didn't really know what to expect and convinced myself that I didn't need to spend the extra money on the 18v version. I was right. For what we… Read more

need it for (read not a regularly used cleaner) its perfect! It passed the car's floormats test pretty easily. The wheels are great and saves scratches.

It seems very powerful, but I have no basis for this comparison as I've never had one before. Powerful, compact, feels sturdy and solid, easy to empty Need to hold the 'max' button down which can be tiring considering it's a weighty little fella. Could do with a longer attachment, the two provided are very short. Cleaning tight spaces (beside car seats etc) is a bit tricky.

Beware: Battery fails, no support – The Electrolux ElectoRapido stick vacuum cleaner worked really well, until after 2 years and the battery failed. Normally, when you put the Rapido on its base station charger, a bright blue light illuminates on the front of the vacuum cleaner, to indicate that it is charging. One day, the blue light would come on for 5 seconds, then fade off… Read more

again. The vacuum cleaner would fail to charge. That was it. It was dead after 2 years of use.

Electrolux has no support. Even the Electrolux support website does not work with common web browsers like Firefox, Chrome or Safari. I assume it only works with the dinosaur Internet Explorer browser.

When the batteries inside the unit fail, Electrolux doesn't support a replacement. It's possible that there are batteries from third-party providers, but you would have to be skilled using a soldering iron to replace them.

I'm not sure that any other brand of stick vacuum cleaner is any better. I don't know if any have easily replaceable batteries. But this turns me off Electrolux products, and makes me cautious about getting any other stick vacuum cleaner. It sucks. It actually sucks reasonably well. Battery failed. Can't easily be replaced.

Wonderful! – The rechargeable battery died on my old hand held vacuum cleaner and this replacement is massively better. The power lasts and lasts ( switch it off regularly to save on stand by power) and the boost button really helps with pet hair. Easy to empty and upright stand much better than previous flat one which took up too much space. Battery life Would be better with power switch rather 5than boost button you need to continue holding down.

Great Hand Vacuum – Really pleased with this hand vacuum. Bought it at Costco for a competitive price so can't really complain. Love that i dont need to use a dust pan anymore!! It's easy to clean and empty into the rubbish bin, has a great attachment to use in small spaces. Would definitely recommend any Electrolux product!! small and portable, rechargeable, easy to use anywhere in the house.

Just love it !! – probably the best vaccum cleaner I've bought so far and it's good in everything - the look, the design, easy to use, easy to empty 'waste bin', long running time, light-weighed, noise acceptable, price ok .... and I esp love the appearance very much !! Nearly everything

Fantastic product – A fantastic handheld vacuum cleaner that has strong suction. Light enough for the kids to grab and clean up their mess. Long charge held. The sleek design makes it fit nicely in a corner without it being in the way. The wheels on the tip let's it glide instead of scratching the floor. Great suction for a good price
