Absolutely disgraceful. Accepted claim was later denied. Visit to their doctor (certainly not independent) was a joke. He was coached by EML beforehand to deny my claim via a random report they sent him. 6 years and still waiting for a result. Would give a minus 10 if allowed.

capicaity which has always been good before not sure if it's cause it's coming to 1 yr and they don't want to pay I have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel in my right hand which is my dominant hand I quit my current job as I can't go back to any form of work as I haven't been treated I've recently had a left knee replacement and I can't even pay to see a physio and I had an appointment tomorrow so my knee is starting to seize up because I can't even go to my physio and my stress levels

just read such a review where the ex employee who was a case manager, writes a very unhinged rant about his time with EML . He calls out clients stating “ you are regularly and repeatedly yelled at by heroes on the other end of the phone, all the while never taking into consideration we have all their personal information and they have no idea who is on the other end” This is not only shocking but it is a serious threat and needs to be investigated! I will post screenshots of a few reviews and urge everyone reading this to take action. If we do nothing, nothing will change. Send an email to the Minister for Industrial Relations, Work Health and Safety, [Name Removed]. Even if you simply send copies of the past employee reviews such as the one I will post below, it will help. It really is time to take action. Please send an email addressing your concerns. are the problem . They will twist your words, bullying your GP and try to sneak information to use against you, they will not pay you for weeks so as to break your back and you give up or starve, and hv the audacity to say they were on holidays and some one else forgot to process it.. all LIES to break you. As others have said here , “these are not caseworkers” !! These are low iq people that can hardly string a sentence together (my educated a highly qualified DR) spent 50 minutes with a so called “caseworker “ which should hv been a 10 minute call at MOST!!! How she is employed with such communication skills is freaking hectic!! There job is to get rid of you! you, even if you die, it’s one less on their books. The ombudsman words are :IMMORAL AND UNETHICAL! That they systematically Dr shop so as they can terminate your claim. Systemic abuse of victims. NSW MP and barrister claims cases have been referred “to ICAC due to bullying tactics and shoddy practices.” Underpaid victims by 80 million.. wt does that say about them , class action running against them, money laundering allegations. Corrupt canceling of claims where forensic claim team was called ! There billions in debt so the so called caseworkers will be booted out.. anything not to pay an injured person, even after over 40 years employment, they will treat you as a scammer, but in actual fact it’s them. All future company and employers looking for insurance policies to cover their workers.. STAY AWAY!! You will suffer with the employees. Join the class action against this company . People have become worse with this company instead of better. Their job description even shows they will be rewarded (see attached ) for getting rid of claimants ! I will be telling every business owner I know about this company and I suggest others do so.., they are being investigated for money laundering … stay way clear and get a really good lawyer to help caseworker advised me not only to cancel claim and go onto Centrelink, but also should I receive a email from icare, to not put a “negative response as it looks bad for her” . And yet she denies my claim . Any future employers looking for insurance.. BEWARE! Investigation underway for. I know a few company’s who have employee insurance (private colleges etc) and I will advise they stay away and tell their friends. was fuelling in SA in the morning when I fell and was in Melb in the late afternoon, the file is sitting in a backlog now because that department is understaffed. The case manager then said to go to Centrelink if money was needed to buy food, being injured at work means I am not unemployed, it means I am supposed to be financially supported while receiving treatment and eventually returning to work, that's why my boss pays exorbitant premiums to EML Group. I have a platinum credit rating, never missed a mortgage payment or credit card payment but now because of EML and the continuous excuses to not pay I have bank accounts overdrawn and fees applied for that, I have a housing loan that is unpaid and the credit cards are overdrawn because the bills are direct debited from them. Unfortunately this company is entangled with iCare in NSW, even iCare have a specific department to handle complaints about this farce of a company.

-3 stars I regret not engaging a lawyer from the beginning. The people I have interacted with took full advantage of my limited cognitive capacity and twisted my words to deny my claim. Absolutely shameful.

profession, this conduct would result in disciplinary action, loss of registration, or criminal consequences. Here, nothing happens.

Documents are altered or relied upon despite being inaccurate or discredited. Reports are hidden, corrections are refused, and transparency is actively blocked. When you ask to see information held about you, you are told they are not required to provide it and must instead pursue a GIPA request — an exhausting barrier that further entrenches the power imbalance.

Discredited IME reports are reused, recycled, and relied upon by other doctors, creating confirmation bias that contaminates subsequent opinions. These opinions are then weaponised against injured people, despite the flawed foundations they rest on. This is not good faith claims management — it is systemic misconduct.

The psychological, financial, and physical harm caused by these practices is unthinkable. There is no meaningful oversight, no accountability, and no protection for vulnerable people.

This system urgently requires independent scrutiny. A Royal Commission is needed.

irrelevant grounds, including unrelated workplace matters. As part of the process, I was referred to an orthopedic specialist chosen by EML. In the appointment, he verbally indicated one thing, yet sent a report to EML the very same day stating that I had no injuries. Although he told me he would wait for my MRI results before forming an opinion, I later discovered he had already submitted a conclusion within minutes. From my perspective, it felt predetermined and lacking impartiality. The report also included comments thanking the insurer for the referral and expressing interest in future work with them, which raised further concerns for me about fairness and independence. In my personal opinion, no injured worker should have to feel that an assessor’s loyalty lies with the insurer rather than with accurate clinical judgment. Based on my experience, I found the entire process with EML to be frustrating, dismissive, and unfair. I left feeling that genuine injured workers are not being supported but instead pushed aside. I sincerely hope there is greater accountability in how claims and assessments are handled, so others don’t go through what I did.

Absolute scum bags !!! They would drive injured people to suicide deny claims use absolutely any reason to deny claims and when injury commission side with you they still try to refuse right down to the wire to compensate you!!!!!! They leave you 10 months with out pay after being hurt while at work at a government job giving you the run around. They don’t care about workers. [Name Removed] is useless as a case manager and will reply at 4:58 on a Friday and be on holidays as of the money. This company will try screw you any way possible.

I wish you could give minus stars. I've been screwed around for 3 and a half years and I'm still in pain and unemployed and have to collect centrelink. A 3 meter approx 160kg table top fell on me and they denied my back claim. Useless company that will spend more money to try to not pay people what they deserve! As soon as you have to deal with this company get a lawyer!! Trust me because I'm going through that process at the moment.

year. However, let me share with you guys what changed in my second half of this process.

My case manager Ali V, started explaining their processes and procedures. He took the time to explain his role, responsibilities and how the workers comp system worked.

I had a shift in my thinking. I started to do the review forms after each interaction with team members. If I wasn’t satisfied, I told them. But… when they did satisfy, I acknowledged this. I started working with the system and not against it.

What changed for me, through working with my case manager, was (1) I got some power back. I understood what he was doing and the processes that take place and I regained more sense of control over my life. (2) Things were surprisingly happening quicker, or if there were delays, I was notified, had the reason explained to me and knew what was happening.

Not everything in workers comp is as simple as a YES or a NO. You’ll need to get used to “NOT YET” which is expressed as “we need more information” - and I know this can initially seem like “how can we get out of this” - you’ll be suprised to find that often (if it’s legitimate) what really happens is: once justified through the process the insurer has to go through… the support you’ll get is actually unwavering.

I can only speak for myself here, and as I said, my injury has been VERY complex. However, from my experience and with such huge physical consequences on the line and genuinely wanting to get better (as good as I possibly can), I’ve found that EML has only wanted the same thing.

It could possibly come down to how much better do you actually want to get?

Are you looking for the payout? Or are you trying to claw back as much quality of life life me whilst staring down the barrel of a “not being able to walk” or ending up in emergency where you’ve had to have your heart chemically stopped more than once?

Just like everything else, it’s all about perspective.

I would ask everyone to call your ombudsman in your state or the VIC ombudsman and tell them your unlawful experience with EML and WorkSafe/ WorkCover.

Management is so utterly incompetent and unqualified it is beyond belief. Injured workers are treated disgracefully and inhumanly so KPI’s can be met and targets reached. How can EML continue to be left to their own devices and ruin people’s lives is beyond comprehension. Incompetent case managers , who are only glorified call centre workers, lie constantly to cover their incompetence and managers do absolutely nothing when this despicable behaviour is reported. IME doctor’s they use are simply cash for comment robots that should also be investigated and prosecuted. A thorough investigation is needed to shut this company down and all employees need to be held accountable for the damage and harm they cause to injured workers. It really is time for people to stand up and take action against this corrupt organisation and let the public know what actually goes on behind the guise of workers compensation in NSW.

deal with vulnerable, already damaged injured workers. I truly don’t know how these people live with themselves.

Worksafe Victoria only enables, condones and justifies their agent’s conduct. Complaining to them only creates even more stress for no outcome.

I have experienced it all - Illegal and unethical conduct to try and delay and deny legitimate claims, delayed payments, trying to avoid paying, having to fight for your entitlements, taking months to respond to urgent treatment and surgery requests (and having to end up at the Workplace Injury Commission which takes a further four to five months just to get what you need and are entitled to), never responding to emails and phone calls, only contacting you and your doctors when it suits EML, having a revolving door of case managers (recruited as call centre staff) with no experience or qualifications in physical or psychological injuries or case management, lying and manipulating information to cover up their incompetence and trying to blame vulnerable people instead, not responding to complaints, refusing to escalate complaints to supervisors, making all decisions based on whether they will achieve EML’s and Worksafe’s KPIs, literally not caring if you’re in pain, need surgery or whether you literally live or die.

I genuinely wonder if EML has a financial reward or incentive for case managers who cause injured workers to kill themselves.

The Victorian Ombudsman’s instigations only scratch the service and independent government reviews have made no difference whatsoever to a thoroughly broken and dangerous system

How many people have to kill themselves because of EML illegal and immoral conduct before the government starts to realise that the agencies supposed to support injured workers get back to work are actually permanently disabling and killing them?

Nothing short of a royal commission will even begin to address the rot, the illegal , unscrupulous and deadly conduct of EML, Worksafe Victoria and their staff. I don’t plan on sticking around long enough waiting for change.

I have had the pleasure of dealing with this lovely lot for the last 18 months… I have had 10 Case Managers in that time & have found almost every single one of them to be just as bad if not worse than the bullying, harassment & intimidation I continually put up with from the micromanaging boss at my place of work… They get no stars from me!

Corrupt, devious and dishonest. Don't talk or communicate with them or their investigators if possible. This is also a very sad reflection on the businesses that hire this company to harass and torment their workers - shows a total lack of respect and disregard for their workers health and safety. Shame on you!
