Lifetime guarantee an absolute lie by Energizer Australia – This item came with a lifetime guarantee advertised on the packaging. After normal use as a light you keep on your keyring, the product came apart at the point where the unit joins the keyring, making it impossible to use for its intended purpose. Energizer so-called customer service is nothing but an exercise in being ignored & accused of mishandling the product, which is an absolute lie on the company's behalf. DO NOT spend your money on this or any other item advertised with a lifetime guarantee by Energizer as they will NOT honour either their own warranty or the consumer's rights under Australian Consumer Law that an item be fit for purpose & reasonably durable. The so-called lifetime warranty is a complete fabrication & outright lie included on the packaging to boost sales.

maybe a little heavy but thats the only downside – I've had one of these on my keyring for a year or so. - I like how its built to last - Ive replaced one set of batteries in it - and like how it is built to be used and reused - its not just a throwaway item. Yes - it might benefit from being made of a lighter material - but that is the only downside - it's just nice to have a light on your keyring that is there and works - first-time-everytime.

Too heavy for a key ring! – I've got both the old shape and the current square shape in the Energizer LED key ring torch. Both emit a huge amount of light from the Nicha LED that they both employ, they both use CR2032 lithium batteries which means a massive run time between changing them. The LED is basically a life long item that lasts 50,000 to 100,000 hours or more... These key ring torches are too heavy for general day to day carry, and when put on a set of car keys can damage your key tumbler due to the weight. I have suggested to Energizer that they make them from Magnesium however they said no, so they're still making them in the brass alloy which is heavy. The chrome exterior eventually wears off, leaving a golden alloy which is the body material, this can leave black mark on your hands and clothing especially if your hands are moist and you have acidic skin oils - the body doesn't seem to suffer from corrosion however the internals and the battery can from moisture so keeping it clean inside is imperative for a good working life.

There are 4 screw's that hold the two pieces of the body together and these screw's need a precision driver set and are prone to stripping in the screw head itself due to the poor metal quality of the screws, so firm pressure is needed to be applied to that the phillip's head doesn't strip out - if it does it's a throw away job!

These key chain torches produce a very bright light which is a flood (no direction) - the Nicha LED has a usefull lifespan of 100,000 hours they say but who's counting? At the cost of weight with these lights, you can damage tables and bowels when these are thrown into / onto them with your keys, so you got to be careful you throw one of these onto a tempered glass table!

All in all, handy to have but more of a hindrance than carrying a small Led Lenser K3 torch on your keys, as its lighter and much much better doing its job. Heaps of light, dependable. Weight, chrome wears off, batteries expensive and screw's strip easily.

You Shouldn't be throwing them into your bowels.

Excellent – This is an excellent keyring torch that provides an excellent bright light and is both durable and handy. It is reasonably priced and the battery lasts for a long time. It is a significant improvement from the previous model and looks really good. I bought one for everyone in my family that has a car. The light is very bright and is handy for lighting up dark rooms or even a cavity or engine bay. The size of it may be of putting, but dont under estimate it, it really puts out a wide bright beam that will leave you amazed. The energizer keyring light is sold in many shops making it easy to find. It is built really well and looks really nice. The LED is very bright and the button is easy to use and durable. The keyring attachment is also strong and easy to use. It might be a bit on the heavy side and over prolonged use the chrome may start to chip off, but it is not really that bad and should not deter you. i would definitly reccommend this product
