Don't bother buying a smart TV from Engalon. Our 2021 12 smart TV no longer talks to Netflix, a problem starting in 2024, so only 3 years old. Hundreds of owners are now experiencing this issue. There is no fix, other than replacing the smart TV. Give this company and their TVs a big miss. Show details
absolute crap – I bought this TV after reading some peoples comments on Facebook and boy did I get shafted, cost me over $800 delivered and after I turned it on I saw that this was not what I wanted as the functions were limited and smart functions failed their education as there was nothing smart with this TV , but too late so had to live with it < 1 month… Read more
after the warranty was over the HDMI ports stopped working so I could not plug my Laptop or Firestick in to watch some online shows , then voila! the whole smart functions stopped working altogether and was only capable of free to air tv ,that is in between periods when it would freeze up and had to switch off all power to it so I can continue watching the news program. after I rang them about this the suggested I pack it in triple wrapped bubble wrap and send it to them , there was a problem with this as I was at least over 500km away from Melbourne and I was an am partially disabled and cannot do proffessional packing nor carry to the post office as it was so heavy (I dont know how it can be made for caravans as it was well over 8kg ) so I did not do any of this and chucked it in the council bin after breaking the screen so as someone would find it and spend money on repairs, then I found a brand which was cheap as chips and was light also did everything I could possibly want in a 12v powered tv and so pleased I was I bought a second one so I dont have to juggle tvs from the bed area and the lounge seating area Englaon Grrr Never again!! I cant fill in date of purchase other then the year as they did not send a receipt

Do NOT buy, do not support a company that treats people like this! – These TVs break down just after warranty is up. TV broke just after a year, thanks to extended warranty no problem, I thought, boy, was I wrong.… Read more
First replacement took weeks to be sent - so poorly wrapped that it arrived broken. Had to send it back in 3 layers of bubble wrap according to their email, or be fined $129. Next TV screen was loose so it nearly fell out, had to send back 3 times wrapped again whilst they kept sending the replacement with a sheet of bubble wrap smaller than the screen size. Replacement TV furbished, dirty, full with cockroach dirt. Next the electronics in the back loose. Customer service rarely to never answered phones, left messages remained unanswered. Emails weeks later. Last TV - after MONTHS of sending TVs back and forth - now broke after exactly a years and some days, what a surprise. still covered by extended warranty, they didn’t even bother to answer the emails at all this time. Got photos and emails saved. Company is a rip off
Follow-up · The extended warranty was 3 years, and I never got a refund nor a working TV. The last one where the screen was barely hanging in the frame of the TV and the motherboard loose in the back so that the wall behind the TV was lit up with light from that motherboard was working as in you could see TV channels so NSW Trading concluded that since it’s… Read more
Follow-up · While story: The first TV broke just before warranty was up. Netflixx stopped working = blue screen. I was told to download some update on a computer and put it on a USB stick and put that into the TV. The TV, being a smart TV and connected to… Read more
Excellent for a caravan – The tv that came with the caravan had terrible speakers, we decided to upgrade to a well known brand with better speakers that was lighter. The internet range doesn’t seem as good as the old tv but the sound is awesome. Overall we are happy we upgraded. Show details
A great Smart Tv at a reasonable price – We love our new TV and the fact that it is a SMART TV, allowing us to watch all our favourite programs wherever we are Show details
Great smart tv for home and van – Bought this for our van but we use it in the room as well when we home ... Bit fiddly to setup but once done I think its great. Would recommend to other ( as I said setup took longer ) Show details
Great TV for van but can be frustrating to setup – 24" Englaon purchased for a small (18') caravan. On a positive note: Great picture, remote comes with some presets (Netflix, Google Play, Prime and Youtube) and for the 'most part' was easy to set-up. Rated at either 12v/240v it comes with a standard 12v vehicle adaptor lead (240v adaptor available for extra ) so not tested on 240v mains as van… Read more
has a power convertor. Thus cannot confirm power draw on a battery but it does have power settings on the TV. On a negative: Fairly expensive for a 24" smart TV but rated highly on research reviews for travelling/vibration reliability (not yet tested). The built in chromecast worked well, as well as using a mobile phone as an internet wireless hotspot - but the Bluetooth side, of which there are no specific settings, was a pain in the proverbial. It recognised the van stereo system with no real issues but the laptop (12 month old Lenovo Ideapad) just wouldn't show at all. The laptop has no issues with other BT devices - but with no specific Bluetooth settings on the TV (just the unit trying to link up) the laptop connection to the TV was no go. Overall though, a great unit, good remote, good picture and no real issues. Purchased through Harvey Norman (for information only - not a brand plug)
Waste of time and money – After deciding to replace our Kogan 24" TV with something more attuned to our mobile home we contacted the sales department at Englaon and asked about our initial choice of their 24" unit with soundbar we were told there was a new unit being released which was a better TV, at this time I stated that we did not need a DVD unit as we only used TV… Read more
and movies stored on Hard Drives. The unit was then ordered online we were given a Seniors Discount and the delivery time was very good. That unfortunately was the end of our satisfaction with the purchase, when the unit was mounted in position the 12-volt lead indicator did not work, it picked up no channels on the motorhome's antenna (we have a signal strength meter and the Kogan TV picked up 30) and it would not recognise any USB we plugged in. I packed the unit back up and contacted Customer Support and they told me to load up VLC media player and connect it to an internal antenna (not really what it was purchased for). After following their advice the TV did appear to work better but still not as strong as the Kogan TV and VLC made no difference to the USB issue, since then there have been many emails and a phone call to their Tech Department in an attempted to resolve the unit's unsuitability for our needs, but Englaon state that Android TV only accepts FAT32 USB and they will not accept the return without a penalty. I have checked with other retailers and newer model/series Android TV's (which this is supposedly) do accept other formats including the current ExFat. In the end we have decided to get a 240-volt adaptor to give the TV to one of our family for home use as it obviously useless in our motorhome with its inability to pick up TV, play USB above 16 gig (there's nothing in their documentation indicating limitations), slow remote response, tinny sound and faulty 12-volt lead. As the Kogan unit cost less than half the price and completes all the Englaon TV's failures without baulking do yourself a favor and deal with a company that takes customer satisfaction seriously and doesn't just hinder the process to avoid a refund.
