Great for your average user that just wants to print, and has more if you want it – Like most of the stuff i buy, I got this on sale for a far cheaper price than rrp. I bought it about 9 months ago after a bit of research. I didn't need a preview window as i wasn't going to use it for photos, and that made it a cheaper buy. For home and student use, this printer is great. I don't fiddle around with the fancy stuff, but did get it set up wirelessly to see if it would work, and it did, then the printer got confused so rather than work it out, I deleted the wireless connection and went back to cable to pc connection.

Print quality is good but we don't do photos (why would you ?) so i can't comment on that, but it's meant to be ok. It does take a while to fire up, and shut down, but printing speed is ok. Double sided takes a bit longer and is a bit of mucking about, but at least the option is there. The ink cartridges are small so you run out quick, but generic replacements are super cheap and work well, despite them having to have a chip (comes inbuilt). The scanner and scanner software is easy enough to use. I love how I can send something to the printer via an email to the printer email address and it will print it.

We only print documents and school assignments, and scan paperwork to send in emails instead of faxes. It wasn't that hard to set up (when I paid attention to the instructions) and it's mostly easy to use. The on printer screen menus are easy to understand and use, and the software does the rest. I've found this printer to be robust and reliable. Lots of functionality, looks nice. No auto-feed for multi page scanning.

Not quite right – This printer is extraordinarily slow to fire up, like press print and then go and make a cuppa ! To be fair, it prints well, really nicely, once it's up and running though. However, if your forte is writing letters forget it - to print an envelope you have to pull out the paper tray, extract whatever is in there, load your envelope, adjust the fiddly plastic guides, put the draw back, then you can print, hooray. Then go through the whole process again to put the ordinary paper back. This is just not good enough in this day and age, we have come to accept a hand feed option as normal, you shouldn't have to look for features that you take for granted. Nice print Slow and poor paper handling
