Dissapointing – Does not print true to colour. Goldish colour comes out pinkish and photos also left slight pink in it. Yes. My screen is calibrated for true colours. Screen on the unit is way too small to read. Wifi process is awkward. Print ink saving is good with big tank refill. The software is annoying with ink balance check asking you to buy new ink even though i still have plenty.

Purchased for $500.

Don't Buy – Brought directly through Epson on the 21/02/2023, sent out from the Warehouse on the 24/02/2023. Received on the 28/02/2023, opened the box spent about 1 hour setting the printer up. This wasn't a terrible experience and was a quite pleasant. I started to think all the length of time I had stayed with Cannon Printers was wrong, that I should have swapped earlier.

Tried to print a page, nothing was on it! The printer suggested a printer head clean, this was done. The printer then printed a single line about a 3mm long about 0.5mm wide. Another printer head clean was done as per prompts on the printer. While this was going on, I looked at the online manual. Again the printer printed another test page, which had a few other lines.

The printer then suggested a power clean cycle, which was done as this was suggested in the manual as well. Mean while the printer had used 3/4 of a tank of ink so far. The power clean was completed and again the printer wasn't printing, then as per manual suggested a printer head clean. The printer still didn't print anything on any paper.

01/03/2023 - Phone call 1/3 Not even having the printer for 24 hours, made 1 of 3 calls made to Epson. I asked if I could get a refund, which was denied and asked to take the printer to a service agent. I explained that it was serviced at Epson Australia on the 13/02/23 (Apparently Working) that inside of 26 days wasn't working. So obviously a malfunction. This person ended my call.

01/03/2023- 2/3 Phone Call Hand to give them all the information again and I mean serial number all my details, what was wrong. I explained what was happening and got told it would need to be taken to service agent again. I explained about being serviced at Epson, because of all this situation I just want a refund as the product wasn't fit for purpose and wanted a refund according with the ACCC. Got told I would get a call in a maximum in 10 minutes.

01/03/2023- 3/3 Phone Call (which I had to call them) I went through all my details again, then got asked what was wrong. I asked them I have called them 3 times, aren't they keeping record of what is going on? So explained the problem, got told they would need to service the printer. I asked if I could speak to a manager, which this request wasn't done.

I continued to explain I wanted to talk to a manager, that I'm being quite annoyed about this whole process. I was told that the managers are busy, which I explained I was happy to wait. I wanted to sort this all out today. Got told to trust her and a manager would call me in 24 hours, I explained I wanted this sorted out and I will just be more annoyed and angry if I have to wait 24 hours so lets sort this out now.

Again was told that a manager would call me back, within 24 hours. I asked to be transferred to someone in the complaints department. Which this was refused, I again explained I know my right's with the ACCC and read some of my consumer rights. All of a sudden I was transferred to a manager, which was able to sort out my complaint.

Mean while I was on the phone for over an hour, This was very frustrating and made the whole decision to go back to Epson easier. Less than 24 hours of a day with an Epson, I really hoped this wasn't going to be the case. But the customer service was horrible, as was the product. Sadly I feel that the customer service was worst than my problems with the printer. There was no empathy from any of the customer service agents.

Purchased in at Epson Australia for $259.

Poor features for the price, but the ink is really cheap – Printer manufacturers get their money one way or the other. By charging a lot for the printer. Or charging a lot for ink cartridges. This printer looks hugely expensive for the features you get. It only comes across as comparable with the average $100-$150 printer. No paper tray. A tiny little hard to use display. Poorly explained weird non-intuitive controls. Poor software. No double sided that I can find. Fragile parts. But because it has ink tanks and cheap bottles of ink to refill them it has far lower ink costs than printers that use ink cartridges. If that's valuable to you, you'll be happy with this printer. I bought an Epson reconditioned one, so the price was a bit over half the new retail price, and I thought that was a fair price for it.
