Failed after 30 months – 2720 great to start with, then ink stopped flowing to cartridges at print head. Took it to be repaired they sucked ink in to carts' and all was fine until they emptied again. I didn't even use 25% of the ink that came with it. It's now at the local tip. Show details
Serious paper jam problem – I have decided to throw this printer into the rubbish bin. I refuse to spend $100 plus to fix a paper jam because of this poorly design Epson ET 2720 printer. As you know paper jams are a common problem with printers and to have a printer that is completely sealed all around is stupid. If you cannot easily access the inside of the printer it's a… Read more
major problem. I will NEVER buy an Epson printer again. A complete waste of money. I have informed Epson that I will be putting my comments on a product review site to bring this problem to the attention of other buyers. The advise Epson provided has not resolved this problem because the printer needs to be taken to a service centre so they can dismantle the printer to remove the torn piece of paper that is the size of a finger nail.
Good printer – I have had this printer for a year. I found it easy to connect to use on my iPhone/iPad/ Mac comp. I use the epson iPrint ap to print. I love how long the ink lasts. I still have half cartridges and I print a lot for my business. Photo quality prints I wouldn’t say are the best- but are ok. I can’t seem to print without the white border. But I’m… Read more
not too fussed that it’s there. It seems to thread through thicker cardboard sometimes. Sometimes it doesn’t print the thickness. I got it as a refurbished on the epson webpage for around $150. Absolute bargain. So I’m quite happy with it so far.
A printer that works as it says (so far, so good) – After my disastrous run with the Canon G3600, I decided to try another Epson printer after having owned three previously, and I can say so far I am not disappointed with the Epson Eco Tank 2720. 100 days in and only had a Wi-Fi error issue displayed on the control panel about a fortnight ago . The error advised to contact Epson technical, however… Read more
it was easily sorted with the trouble shoot guide and only required the home Wi-Fi modem to be turned off for a couple of minutes which reset the connection.
I have to say after first taking the printer out of the box, I did think it felt a little flimsy compared to the sturdy feel of the Canon G3600 but that was the only hesitant thought I had about the Epson ET2720. The printer was so easy to set up, follow the instructions and you cannot go wrong. The print quality is spot on and it hasn't missed a beat. We have internal brick walls throughout our house and we were able to print from any area of the house. This printer is a manual 2 side print - I've never found it an issue and hardly worth the few hundred dollars more to upgrade for this feature.
Not only did I get 2 years' worth of ink with the printer, upon opening the box - Epson had the fantastic offer of warranty sign up within 30 days of purchase and they would give me another 12 months warranty. I am not sure how long or how many boxes they have put this bonus in but it provided me with a bit more piece of mind, that they actually backed their product. I was happy with my decision and very thankful for the assistance that the manager of HN provided me with in dealing with a non responsive Canon. The only downside was the price of this printer $488. So if you do buy one, take note if the store you are buying from beats a price match after purchase. My store did a week after purchase and this printer cost me $367 and that made me ecstatic. So to recap, I received 2 years worth of ink. 1 +1 = 2 year Warranty and a price match, 7 days after sale saving me $121 = very happy purchase.
