The firmware upgrade Introduced a daily that could not fixed – An overnight firmware upgrade failed and then the printer showed an ink empty fault. Even though i replaced the cartridges, reloaded the firmware and called the helpline the fault wouldn’t go away. Google shows this is a common fault

Satisfied so far after a rocky start – The list of grief continues to grow. Connectivity. Started with a cable connection and get error messages saying not connected. After many tries I enabled WiFi connection and printed a test page to confirm. Same error message -not connected. Product features. Appears to have them all. Print scan copy, but manoeuvring through the options on the display panel is tricky and really I had to rely on guesswork. The latest problem was that it merely sent through blank pages. I have miraculously been able to print a couple of pages but it has become a hit and miss situation. I really don't have the time nor the expertise to be fiddling around checking this and that.

After posting the above review I approached the retailer who encouraged me to ring Epson direct. This is something I should have done in the first place. A brief chat with Epson support, an email and now everything is working as it should. A 3 star rating at this stage up from my original 1 star

Wasted money – We ran out of cartridge for our old printer but cartridge is lot more expensive than printer itself. Couldn't understand why cartridges are more expensive than printer. We decided to buy a cheap new one, our biggest mistake was not to check product review and grabbed one is on special. The printer only printed less than 5 pages of paper then all of print out are horrible. When you want to save money, then you end up spend more money. The ink ran out so quick, it didn't last as long as it suppose to be. We wont buy another printer from Epson, it is totally wasted money.
