Epson firmware designed to make your compatible ink cartridges unrecognized – I have two Epson ink printers at the moment, they popped up the messages every certain period, which said one or more cartridges are not recognized, I replaced the indicated cartridges with compatible ones, after restart, the printers popped up again, showed similar messages. I uninstalled everything of epson software, and reinstalled it, all… Read more
cartridges are working well, of cause, not for long. If you have the similar problems for using compatible inks, try the same as I did, plus used firewalls to block communication between the epson software in your computers and epson servers, and do not connect printers to wifi, the printer firmware is able to communicate with epson server as well.
Terrible quality - built as a short term disposable printer – Epson should be ashamed of the quality of this printer. Almost every second day the printer has some form of problem. Even after conducting all of the automated cleaning operations, it will only print a handful of pages before some other problem starts. Problems include lines through the print, faint printing or no print, misalignment of the… Read more
paper. Ruining labels. The amount of time and money we have spent on ink and wasted pages is ridiculous. Never again.
Awful device – This is the worst printer I have ever owned. Printer wont stay on WiFi network, drivers wont update, ink lasts for about 5 pages, B&W wont print without colour cartridges Show details
Wish I'd bought a different one – 9 out of 10 times you try to print the wifi has lost connectivity. You've either got to type all the info in again or restart the printer. Which sometimes it's reluctant to do. It absolutely guzzles ink and they cost a small fortune. And you can't print black and white if one of the colour cartridges is empty. This simply function would make… Read more
a big difference.
Also, the cheaper online cartridges often don't get recognised by the printer. So you are stuck buying the unjustifiably expensive Epson ones.
Oh and the scanner only seems to work if you drive it from the computer, rather than from the printer.
This printer is so bad you have to wonder if it qualifies for a refund under the fit for purpose laws.
I'll be replacing it before it's broken and it wont be with an Epson product.
What a dud! – The rollers stopped working on the first printer after only using it for a couple of months. Officeworks replaced it and now have the same problem with the second printer. The rollers stop working and paper isnt feeding through. Absolute dud! Don't buy it. Show details
Joined product review just to warn people from buying this!!! – Literally the worst printer ever. Scanner only works 10% of the time. Printer only works 20% of the time. No reason as to why it doesn’t work the other 80/90% of the time. After reading other reviews I wish I saw this before hand. Stay away from this absolute crap! Show details
Can't print B&W without colour ink – Worst mistake buying one of these printers. All I need is B&W printing but the printer magically leaks colour and can't print without colour ink. Epson is just another money hungry company who give zero care to how useful their junk actually is. I literally have to buy colour just to print B&W. Ridiculous Show details
Stay clear - worst piece of equipment I have ever owned – This printer is the biggest piece of cr** I have ever owned - I don't think it has ever printed a single page without problems. If any of the colour cartridges run out, you do not have the option to print in B & W. One or another cartridge always seems to be out, even though I hardly ever print in colour, so the thing never works. If by some… Read more
miracle all the stars align and the cartridges actually work, there is some other glitch that means the thing can't print. Forget trying to connect it to your phone, it's not worth the frustration. I am unplugging it as we speak and it's going in the bin, because I have already spent so much money on cartridges without actually getting a single decent print out of it that I cannot even justify it with my conscience to give the thing away.
Worst printer around, terrible quality and chews through ink – I have to run the print head cleaning multiple times just print a document because it doesn't print properly. Also stops printing mid page because one of the ink cartridges is supposedly out. one of the most unreliable, frustrating printers I have experience. Ill will never buy an epson again. Show details
What a waste of money - – 1- You must have all ink cartridges in the printer to print. EG - One of your colours runs out and you want to print in greyscale, the printer will not let you do it. You have to replace that colour even though you are not going to use it!! 2- Printer is connected to the PC via USB - When I attempt to scan, it says that it is not connected.. yet… Read more
it will allow me to print...
TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!
It came recommended by the guy at Officeworks! My guess he has never used one!
July 7th 2018 Update: WASTE OF MONEY!! Mine is going in the bin!
- I was sold this printer by the guy at Officeworks as being a good printer and that the ink was good value.
HERE is why mine is going in the bin.
- Can not print in greyscale. - There are no options for this printer to print in black and white.
- When one colour is low the printer will not print until you replace that colour. EG - Printing a text document that is all black and you are out of yellow... it will not allow you to print it black ink, because the yellow ink is empty.. HOW STUPID
- I printed a text document, all text was black. When the page came out, you could see that the printer was printing with Red and Black ink.. again just using more ink that necessary.
I would say that this printer was designed only to force users to purchase more of the accessories that woudl be required with a normal printer. I have spent 3 times the cost of the printer in ink alone is just 12 months.. and I woudl print no more than 5 pages per month.
This printer is going in the bin and I am buying a greyscale laser printer.
I will never buy an EPSON again!!!
Does what it’s meant to - nothing more – This printer was fairly simple to connect via wifi to my computer but despite many attempts I’ve never succeeded in connecting my phone. Don’t bother trying to print photos, they come out rubbish. Also, if a colour runs out, that’s the end of your printing. I’ve been left fuming multiple times before when I have had a full black cartridge and… Read more
an empty colour and I’m prevent from even printing a black and white word doc.
Only being able to buy genuine cartridges from Officeworks is also a massive pain, so beware of that little marketing trick.
At the end of the day, it does work and has for a few years now so it’s ok.
My Epson XP432 Printer has been a waste ot time and money hardly used – I have had little use of this printer as it required being set with Wi FI several times and wont accept the usb cord I have, The black cartridge ran out quickly printing less than 50 pages. I wasnt aware that Office Works Cairns , where I purchased the printer would be the only place to buy a replacement cartridge. I live Rural which meant… Read more
my printer has been dormant due to ink inaccessibility.
Innisfail has three stationary stores and Cartridge world but no Epson 29 ink as no other than Office works can sell it.
I bought a compatible LX 29 at which the printer refuses to read .
Satisfaction rating: Printing ok for the price.
Refills a problem , low quality and low in ink. Impossible to purchase other than Office works. Postage on this item is more than the ink and would take a week.
Paper jams easily.
Never buy epson again!!! Never ever – This EPSON XP-432 is a joke, because The printer refuses to print in black and white when there is one colour cartridge empty and black is 100%. Terrible printer, junk, its like when you spend a ton of money on buying a black ink, and it tell you the colour cartridge is empty and you can't do about this, unbelievable. Show details

Solution to expensive refills – I have used this printer nearly every day for 10 months and have found it to perform adequately, given its low price. Print quality and scan quality have been quite good. As others have mentioned, it does have a quirk in that it stops printing when a cartridge runs out, so it pays to always have a full set of cartridges on hand. You can order… Read more
cheap replacements online from CartridgeSale.com.au and they are delivered FAST - only 2 or 3 days from Sydney to Perth.
Another junk printer – This one barely worked for a month before I started running into issues with it. The printer refuses to print in black and white when there is one colour cartridge empty and black is 100%. The connection between printer and PC constantly had to be reset as well. It's a headache to deal with. Spend a bit more and buy something else. Show details
I have regretted this purchase – Plenty has already been said about the cost of the cartridges and the duration of them. Today I had to replace the magenta one and no sooner had I restarted printing then I had to replace the yellow one. If you mostly print B&W as I do then you should not have to replace the colour ones in the interim if the B&W is still full. This is a real rip… Read more
off and very frustrating if you have to go out and buy for example a magenta cartridge to continue printing. Just as well Officeworks is not too far away. I was talked into this printer by a salesperson at Officeworks in Airport West. Originally considering a Canon and should have proceeded with this. I have only had this printer for little over a year and will be buying a new one (not Epson). To cap it off it has stopped printing any B&W text at all even though cartridge is still full and yes I have done the usual checks and head cleaning etc and still not working. If I have to say something positive it is easy to use and cartridges are easy to change which is just as well as they last for so little time. .
Easy to use – This printer is really quite simple to operate and I found that the ink the ink is easy to change, as I've never done that before. The print quality is pretty good for black and white but for colour prints of artwork that I make I'd prefer to outsource to a professional printing store. Otherwise this a fairly good product. Not worth buying – This printer prints slowly and scans slowly as well. The ink cartridges cost as much as the printer itself. If one ink cartridge(it has 4) runs out, it's useless. Even if the black colour is full, it won't let you print until you replace that one empty one. Even though you only want to print black and white pages. It doesn't tell you the ink… Read more
levels available and by time you replace the empty cartridge, the next one will run out. I had a 7 year old HP printer and even if the colour cartridge ran out, I was still able to print in black and white and use non hp brand cartridges. I should have done better research and not bought this printer. Now I am in the market for a new printer. :(
This printer absolutely blows – Throughout my life I've owned multiple printers, from cannon, to HP to Epson. The xp432 is by far the worst printer I have ever owned. The cartridges are expensive and can only be purchased at officeworks. After 3 months without printing the printer heads dried out and doesnt print properly The scanner is EXTREMELY slow, and after 3-4 scans… Read more
needs TO COOL DOWN??? My HP Deskjet from 3 years ago didnt even need this
The interface is gluggy and has redundant buttons.
Save your money, DO NOT buy this printer.
HATE THIS PRINTER – This printer is so frustrating trying to copy and print is almost impossible when I press the ok to print button every time the messages on the keypad keep going round and round in circles feel like chucking it in the bin total waste of money have even been on youtube to see if there are any clips on how the functions work but nothing the only thing I can do with it is just print a document !!!!! Be very afraid – Printed three pages! before the ink ran out, and the ink cost as much as the printer when my first purchased ink runs out so the printer will be dumped and i got to dislike my old h p printer with its 5 minute warm up but now i only have fond memories. Show details
Can only be described as junk – Printed about 10 sheets before needing an ink refill, then I find out the ink refills can only be purchased from Officeworks and cost more than the printer! Shame on you, Epson and Officeworks, for treating your customers so disrespectfully. We will never return. We had constant troubles connecting it the printer to the network, and when I called Epson for help the call centre staff were too impatient to resolve the issue. Show details
Epson Expression home XP-432 printer – I bought this printer three months ago and although I don't do very much printing I have found that the cartridges are only available at Officeworks. The 4 replacement cartridges cost nearly as much as the printer. These cartridges cannot be refilled at places like Cartridge World. If I had been told that Officeworks had exclusive rights to… Read more
supplying cartridges for this printer I would not have bought it. It prints OK, but I would not recommend purchasing this printer.
If you run out of any of other colours that Black you can't still print black and white – It is very frustrating if you run out one of the colours and you need to urgently print. I wanted to even print black so I have the document. NO! I can't print until I replace my yellow. Pretty sad and inconvenient. It is not about the money it is about the convenience! It looks to me that the company from the commercial reason blocked the ability to print when the other colour run out. Show details
