Epson Stylus CX3500

Terrible – A total scam and a waste of money. Buy another brand. Scans good. It's an ink SCAM! The cartridges are expensive and have a chip that arbitrarily decides the cartridge is empty even if it isn't. I only did about 40 pages and hardly any color; the color cartridges seem full, but it says the color is empty and won't even print in black only if any cartridge is empty. There's something called an Epson chip resetter on eBay, I'm going to try it!

Terrible – Bloody hopeless, would not reccommend to any one, are all epsoms as unreliable?,is now stored,am investigating better option. dissapponted with it. The box comes in handy for storing it slow, ink cartriges are not empty,but indicate are, high usage of colour even when idle,

Terrible – I hate this product. It's a complete waste of money. We hadn't had this much trouble with our old 15-year-old HP printer which still works to this day. The scanner is meager. We hardly ever use our 3-year-old epson printer. Now all of a sudden it won't power up. @#$#@%!!! And the ink cartridges are a rip off!

Terrible – I have used Epson printers for a long time with great results. This last purchase has left me VERY disappointed with Epson and will put me off from buying any more products from them for some time. BTW as soon as these last color cartridges are finished I'm taking a hammer to my CX3500 and going out to buy a proper photo printer (such as the Canon IP6000) and scanner. Easy to use, software had no glitchs, scans and prints are pretty good quality. Generally a good compact all-in-one for size and function. This is an ink scam! I have been through 3 sets of color ink cartridges for 4 pages of color prints. Even if you print w/only the b/w setting it "uses" up color ink. The last "empty" cartridges I pulled out sounded (by shaking) just as full as the new ones and no sign of used ink reservoir in printer.

OK – Overall this is a cheap printer that provides average quality printing however for a colour printer it is quite affordable and the scanner function is very useful as well. It is easy to use and the document scanner is good for making copies of documents and throwing out lots of paperwork. The sensors on the ink cartridges and the printer are often inaccurate. Sometimes it would tell me that the printer was out of ink and I take the ink out and shake it and it is still near full. This is a fault which is annoying because if it thinks one of them is out of ink then it won't print. This can be overcome by getting a chip resetter so that the cartridge thinks it is full again.
