Epson Stylus NX430

Needs a full nozzle clean, head alignment each week if not used – High maintenance printer that needs a nozzle clean and head alignment if its not used weekly. Print quality poor. Cartridges run out quickly and costly to replace. Cant print black and white if other cartridges out so need to replace them as well. Would not buy this brand again.

Thank god not making anymore. Not happy in many ways, most in the ways that it doesn't print very well or at all – constanat inaccurate details of toner levels. Inability to print when...when...pretty much ever it was needed to most importantly do so. Pretty much used this thing as a scanner - which became useless as phone camera technology improved. In the bin with pretty much all the other middle-continent produced land-fill.
Purchased in at Officeworks.
Epson NX430 4wd of printers – In spite of the issues below. It is a very good printer scanner. I found you need to be frugal about what you REALLY need to print in colour. And how much of a dominant colour you are about to print. Yes, it is slow. Just use black for documents where necessary ; use the control panel on your PC screen to proper effect . My only Gripe. The Inks are ridiculously expensive ,especially clients to buy their Excellent inks at an Advantage price.
They'd sell more
The cartridges ,themselves could be recycled back and refilled for Half the price of new ones. HINT HINT??
when using standard A4 plain papers: switch the paper type to Epson Matte.

Programmed to six you dry – Each $20 cartridge is lucky to do more then 50 or 60 pages, Cant print in BW if other colours are out, slow to do anything from changing cartridges to scanning . Cheap to buy upfront but they’ll get you 20 times over in aftermarket costs. Stay away from this money pit.

Small and tidy wifi colour multi purpose printer – Purchased the printer from office works 8 months ago for $84, also purchased 5 pack of the longer lasting inks eps138, for $100 at the same time, still not put them in the printer. Finding i'm sending invoices, letters etc, online so not using the printer as much. I was happy with my existing epson cx5500 printer, but wanted wifi to suit my new laptop !! impressed by the new printer, less bulky, quicker to start, good print quality, the only fault was the facia board fell off, it was originally glued on, so i re-glued it, and its been fine since. printed a couple of photos but not impressed. all inky Only takes up small amount of space, not expensive but produces nice prints Had to re-glue facia board, ok now !! not impressed with photos
