Terrible – Would look at other printers and check that you can scan even if print cartridges empty. Menus not that good. It looks nice. This printer will not allow scanning if printer cartridges are empty. Does not regularly feed paper straight. Comes up with error messages that are misleading.

Good – A good machine... does the job. But if you are buying for the purpose of printing photos, it is probably cheaper to go to a commercial printer (once you factor in the cost of inks and paper). Multifunctional - prints, scans and copies. Scans slides. Prints on a range of media in addition to paper (eg. photos, iron-on transfers). Can read directly from a range of memory cards. Has a small screen on the front so you can print direct from a memory card, without sending the file from a PC first. The thing that annoys me most is that when I only want to print in black and white, but another coloured ink cartridge has run out, the printer will not print at all until I replace the colour cartridge. The printer also seems to go through the inks very fast but I am not sure if this is the case with all photo printers.
