More trouble than it's worth – Much the same problems as all the others in this page, Feeder never has worked, noisy, uses a lot of very expensive ink, and now declares that, although I have replaced all the ink cartridges, it "does not recognise the cartridges" (genuine) that I have installed When it works it is good, but that does not happen often enough!!! Needless to say… Read more
that Epson offered to replace the cartridge in "about" 7/10 days "If that does not work call us back"
I need to have a lay down or it will go through the window!
Lacking simple printing abilities – For the first couple of months, it was fine. I then began to get annoyed as the printer began to tell me that not to open the scanner unit despite not even using the scanner, only the printer. I decided one, about 2 years later that I would use the auto feeder, too bad it doesn't work and who knows if it did work ever? When it gets going, it is… Read more
good quality printing, and also quick. Unfortunately, the one thing that really peeves me off is that the wifi connection has never worked.
I have begun to use generic ink cartridges off eBay as it doesn't seem to care about that, saves me at least 75% in running costs!!!
3 years on, it is asking me to service it and replace the ink pads... I wonder how much that will cost?!
Most frustrating thing i think ive ever owned – Agree with all the other reviews... Absolute heap of rubbish. Ive been frustrated to the point of nearly throwing this thing off the balcony. It demands regular expensive ink changes, an will totally shut down until its veracious appetite for ink is satisfied. I only print in black and white, yet all my colour cartridges seem to empty at an… Read more
alarming rate. When the yellow runs out, the unit locks itsself, i cant even print in black and white or use the scanner feature.
Never again epson !
Terrible – Overall, if I could turn back time I would have not purchased this printer. I purchased what was the most expensive ink jet printer in the shop expecting that I would get my monies worth from it. I have had hours and hours of frustration with this printer with more paper jams than not. On a positive note, loving the feature of the CD/DVD… Read more
printing. Memory card slots work well. When printing in CD/DVDs - they come up great. This printer costs the earth to maintain... The inks are so very expensive, and have found the high yield inks to still not last very long. The printer will not print on paper that is not of the epson brand (which I have found to be overpriced and hard to find). This is also a very noisy printer. The quality of the print on normal paper is quite disappointing as well.
Terrible – Would not touch another Epson product as a result of their extremly poor printer and after sales service. Whilst researching on the net about Epson printers I come across an artical about people in Canada taking a class action against them. I felt so enraged about the printer I wanted to smash it with a large sledge hammer and send the broken… Read more
parts back to them, but relised I've already spent to much on Epson and I dont think they would care anyway.
Worst printer I've ever owned. Poor quality photo prints with average blank & white word printing. Prints heads continualy getting blocked which eventualy led to the ink pads being full. Printer would not work at all. Enquired with Epson & was told it would cost money to fix. Not bad when it was less than 6 months old. I complained to Epson who did not care. Extremly expensive replacement of ink cartridges and will only use genuine cartridges.
The Crappiest Printer I ever owned – This printer worked great........ for about 6 weeks. However I was spending an arm and a leg replacing ink cartridges. So I got a Continuous Ink System for it (another $100 !!). That was all good and well for about another 4 months, then it shut down completely because the ink soakup pads were saturated !! Now Epson want me to return it for… Read more
service (another $100!!). No thanks guys, I'd sooner spend $49 on a cheap Canon and adapt my CIS. PPrint quality was quite good and reasonably fast (when it got going). Features are good (I liked the touch screen) Expenjsive to run...nearly as bad as my GTO!
