A printer with real connection issues, doesn't support WPA3 security, IPv6. If your router uses these you have to turn them off. Spent hours tracking this down, overseas support are useless and have poor english. Show details

It would be easier and quicker to try and make a 1920 typewriter print from your PC that getting one of these pieces of trash to work. Hand down one of the worst product ever made in the world. Avoid this product - do not buy. Write your letters by hand, it would be better than trying to deal with this printer. Show details

This printer was a cheap initial purchase - but you only get what you pay for. Throughout it's short life (August 2021 to September 2025) Epson constantly pestered me to install updates - none of which seemed to deliver any improvement in performance. The print quality was never very good - always a bity fuzzy. Then recently it started… Read more

printing text that was almost unreadable and had big sideways steps in the lines of text - unuseable. I tried the alignment utility but it did nothing to improve the quality.

I have had all sorts of trouble with this printer. I'm sort of middle-of-the-road computer literate, but I can't get it to connect to my computer through WiFi (and I got a friend's 17yo whiz kid to try, and he failed too), so I have to connect it with a USB cable. This is OK for printing, although it is really thirsty on expensive ink, so my… Read more

advice is to always print in B&W. But it also consistently fails to scan, at least through the feeder, so a multi-page document needs to be scanned page by page and then sent as separate attachments or stitched together using a paid version of Adobe. Basically, this is junk - DO NOT BUY!

Ink Guzzler – Do not buy this printer! The ink usage or lack of it will bankcrupt you. I have a SOHO and do not print excessively but this thing uses ink and since I have been monitoring the number of pages I print it is nowhere close to the advertised number of pages you are supposedly able to print! There is nothing else wrong with the operation of this… Read more

machine but when it continuously runs out of ink, (on average every 6 weeks) (replacement pack is +-$100 at JB HiFi...) it becomes hugely irritating. Do you think for one moment EPSON will contact you to rectify the situation....? Dream on...

My research to find a great printer was completely wrong, I my have to up my skills – So slow to start printing, slow printing, excessive ink use, bulky for nothing, paper tray is way too needy, I ditched HP because they got ridiculous regarding inks. I am so over the connection issued and is a waste of time on my computer drive. Oh and the stand by feature. Kills my life. Not recommended at all. Cost me over $300 and my reputation with my husband. Show details

There's better – After my old Epson Workforce printer reached the end of its 7 year useful life, I replaced it with the WorkForce Pro WF-3825 mistakenly thinking it would be just as good as my old printer. Once I unpacked it and removed a huge amount of blue sticky tape that was holding things together it seemed flimsy. The connecting to my computer took time… Read more

but all went as per the instructions. It seems to print okay and faster than my old Workforce.

My main beef with the printer is the cartridges. They are comparatively narrow and small; meaning the ink reservoir in each cartridge is limited and will need frequent replacing with genuine cartridges and the cartridges are not cheap.

Seeing this I decided to order extra cartridges online with Epson as is my usual method. The purchasing process went well and next day I was advised by email the order had been sent (on its way). Two days later I received advice that they were unable to supply all the cartridges?

The printer was on special at Harvey Normans for $158. So while it prints okay, I regret buying the printer and will look around for another.

Follow up to my other review – I gave a review before, shortly after buying the product. I have now used it for awhile, and can give an updated review. I have used printers in work and home for 33 years so have garnered a bit of knowledge on them. The person who whinged before about no standby feature, and expensive ink, not being able to use non-genuine inks, nor being able to… Read more

replace the Maintenance box without sending it to the manufacturers did not know what he/she was talking about. It has been long known that printer companies sell printers at a loss, so as to make their money on their ink replacements, this is why the inks are expensive. It makes economic sense for them but not for consumers. Some companies are going to the degree now of providing their printers with software that will definitely prevent the use of non-genuine anything, so for some, it will get worse. I have had my printer for long enough that the initial (small ink content) cartidges have now started to run out which is standard as these cartridges are not provided full in any printer. As I bought it, I went online and ordered non-genuine cartridges and Maintenance box as I always do, for almost a quarter of the original replacement costs. I have now just replaced my black and cyan original cartridges with these non-genuines, and there were no issues at all. The printer in all other respects works as it should for the kind of printer that it is. Before you whinge about something in public, you do really need to have a full understanding of, and familiarity with the product you are complaining about. Unless you got a duff printer (lemon), then your comments were simply not applicable as the printer is perfectly acceptable.

So much work to print a document – I go to print a document. Sorry, but the printers is not connected to the network for some reason. You run the Epson Connect tool, but this doesn't fix it. It tells you to restart your router etc. There is no problem with my router, everything else is working fine, what I really need is to restart the printer. So restart the printer and wait.… Read more

Finally start printing and it stops, needs a new cartridge. So I replace the cartridge and print one more page before it stops again asking for another cartridge. Every time I try to print something, it turns into a mini project. As for starter cartridges, what a scam they are. This is my second Epson printer, I purchased this because I had a near full set of matching cartridges from my other Epson printer which died. THought I would use my already opened cartridges first and save the new cartridges until later. No, that was a silly idea. Who would have thought that Epson would program the printer not to accept these cartridges because the printer had already used other cartridges. After a discussion with Epson, in the bin they went. Unfortunately it sounds like other printer companies opperate in a similar way. Not customer focused and they don't care for the environment.

Worst printer I ever had and most expensive ink for normal use of the printer – It’s most expensive inks for this printer as I can’t have black and white prints as I had finished one of the Color ink and I bought black ink for 52 dollar from office express armidale and now have to buy 52 dollar one Color ink as well and I’m feeling very frustrating that why I bought this kind of printer Show details

Difficult – We don't do a lot of printing but like most users when I choose to print something I expect it to print. This unit is very annoying, if I have not printed something for a few days it takes several minutes to go through its warm up routine and waiting more than 5 minutes to print a one page report is just unacceptable. I can not recommend this printer. Show details

Terrible printer – Needs to be physically turned on every time one needs to print, has no standby mode, wireless connection is a major problem, get printer cannot be found message every time it is turned on. Can Confirm Prints and Scans Well – Setting up to print and scan is pretty simple, but the menu screen can be a bit fiddly. I haven't set up the scan-to-email function, but using the device is seamless over wifi. Print quality for non-image intense office stuff (invoices, receipts, QR codes etc) is totally fine. The top section for scanning is about 5cm thick so if you plan to put… Read more

Decent quality machine, BUT it continually drops offline – I had an Epson WF-3620 for many years and it was great, but it is now tired and worn out. Jumping back in I bought the WF-3825 a few weeks back. Printing if fine, no real issues with the machine itself. However it simply does not stay Online. It seems to "sleep" and loses the WiFi connection. The only way to get it reconnected is by turning… Read more

it off and on again. Every time. SO annoying ! I've tried various things as I am tech savvy like a fixed IP address and setting the Router up accordingly, etc etc. No Go. I would be surprised if it is just a faulty unit, however I will be taking it back anyway for exchange. My feeling - it just is a bad machine connectivity wise. By the way, Epson support is a Joke !

Printing is fine - BUT ink say no more rip off to say the least – The printer is fine does what it suppose to do with no problem. But when it comes to ink and the cost of cartridges is a damn well rip off. Why, well no sooner one replaces the new cartridges it uses nearly half to recharge the system, then print 5, mind you 5 double sides pages they are just about empty. Looks like I am going to invest in… Read more

Absolute Rubbish- avoid it at all costs! – We decided to purchase this multi function printer (MFP) for our small home office after being told by the salesperson that it was an economical, well tested, reliable series in the Epsom range of MFP's. This printer was used daily during the week. The issue we had was the print quality and blockages in the print head. The Workforce-Pro WF-3825… Read more

has many desirable features -however printing seems not to be one of its strong suits! The introductory ink cartridges that come with this unit appear 'pre programmed' to discontinue after a certain page count (they still had plenty of ink left in them). We purchased the rather expensive replacement cartridges only to have continual head blockages. The Maintenance program embedded into this Epsom MFP uses a large quantity of your precious, new ink, just to try to clear the blockage. Basically after many attempts to fix this basic function (printing)... we've opted NEVER to purchase an Epsom printer ever again!!

Great Printer & Scanner – What a fantastic printer and scanner. The good: Easy Wi-Fi set up / Good color prints / Fast document prints / Fast warm up / Fast shutdown / Decent software The bad: Printer cartridge's a tad pricey The Ugly: None I have always owned Canon printers, but after my last purchase, a Canon Maxify MB2160 (the absolute, hands down worst printer that I… Read more

have ever owned), I decided to give the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3825 a go. After using the Epson for approximately 3 months, I can safely say that it has restored my faith in low/mid range printers. It does everything with speed and good results, unlike the Canon Maxify MB2160. Extremely pleased with my purchase.
